Both Miku and Luka are singing synthesizers that use phonemes recorded from a real person, tweaked, and then stored in a big database that can be accessed by the application. Everything can potentially impact the quality of the end result, from the recording to the end user.

This is not the best Luka video i have seen.. You can make Luka sound more clear and the English sound better with a little more work :) still nice though.. The idea of making a Vocaloid cover of this song seams like the obvious thing to do ^^ and Luka seams to be the obvious choice since she is the only Vocaloid compatible with the English language ^^ so all in all, great vid :P

I found out about this game only a few weeks ago, and never got to play it yet, but I'm already hooked, I love GLaDOS, and the Turrets, Luka sounds really good for this song, but I think Teto's UTAU would fit better, or MEIKO's adult sound. Luka's just a bit too soft at parts.
