  • this is seriously inspirational...

  • hey where did you get that idea for drawing that guy with the hat and a pipe at 0:51

  • @zw0ecool It's one of the exercises in the book: 'Drawing from the right side of the brain'.

  • i like your drawing without ears hair and background :)

  • Man that book really works! you became an amazing artistCONGRATULATIONS!! AND KEEP GOING WITH YOU NICE ART AND DRAWS!

  • good picture of anebel lecter, no, I thought this at first, but now, it looks like a kinder man, this is an excellent drawing. I will have to buy that book

  • Great drawing. I also liked that the video shows a checked put library book. I've borrowed "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" myself and will give it a try.

  • does this shit really works?

  • @KaunisRoheIine

It's not about it working or not. It teaches complete beginners what to focus on, what is required in drawing, things like value, proportion, sight measuring, etc. So it's completely up to the person.

  • NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Very nice improvement! If I may critique one thing in an attempt to aid you in your quest to improve your drawing skills, I think you need to tone your paper a bit darker (your highlights have very little contrast) and consider more how your highlights relate to the shadows (in this case below the highlights, since the subject is lit from above). The cheek/smile line on the left side of the face, for instance, is very dark but there's no highlight above it to suggest that there is a [...]

  • form above it casting the shadow, and with such a deep, hard-edged shadow, you would surely see a highlight not too far above it. The result is that the right side of the face looks more rendered than the left and that cheek line really reduces the left side to look more like a line drawing.

  • Does it show you how to do figure drawings---like comic book people? :)

  • The book teaches you how to draw using more observational methods, teaching you to draw what you see without understanding how to normally draw it. For comic book illustration where figures are often placed in poses and drawn with wild perspectives that would be too impractical to capture from a model, you need more mechanical approaches to constructing the figure and a solid understanding of anatomy. Still it's useful to any artist to first learn to draw what he sees accurately.

  • Inspirational! Love how you show your progress drawings. Keep it up.

  • yes, me too. i will buy it again; i ve lent it to a friend but this book is so great i don't dare to ask it back ;-)

  • This is wonderful! I'm definitely going to use Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain!
