  • well done Melanie! well done!!!

  • Congrats! You did it! Thanks so much for sharing your story.

  • i missed out on vaginal delivering with my Babies and I would love to try with Baby number four. However thers nobody here in my canadian one-horse town that would assit me. However, Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment in your life, you are truly inspiring to all of us women dreaming of a "perfect birth"

  • Did you ever create a video for your last vbac ? It's been 5 months since you announced your second vbac, and I'd love to see picutres,or read a story about it ! :- ) This is my favorate video so far. I am hoping for a vba3c .

  • I am planning a HBAC with my second child that is due in January. I hope to share my story after wards as well so that I can inspire others just like you have done. Thanks for sharing your story :) OH, and my daughter was born July 23, 2008! I thought that was cool

  • Just Amazing. Congratulations :)

  • I really appreciate people like you who share your empowering story. You have to be a very strong, determined person to have multiple c-sections and go on to have a natural birth and to do it at home as well. I know because I've had three c-section, I'm six months pregnant now and it seems impossible to find someone or a doctor to support me on having VBAC. Your story has inspired me not to give up, thank you.

  • How utterly wonderful. This made me cry. I'm currently planning my first home birth, and I too will have to have a VBAC. Thankfully I've only had one c-section, but hearing about someone who had 4!! c-sections and successfully vbac ed is so inspiring. I know I can do this! Thank you so much for posting this.

  • thank you for this

  • I have had 4 kids, 4 c-sections...was never given the chance. Doctors told me my baby was too big the first time. He turned out to be a 7lb baby. The rest were all 5 & 6lbs. I feel so robbed.

  • @nrussell00 , I know how you feel. My last two were 5&6lbs too. :(

I never had the chance, but I did get the priviledge to make it to 5-6cm (unknowingly) unti lwe got to the hospital and found out . But they stopped it. I could have refused, but didn't know my rights. I didn't even know it was legal to jsut labor at home! crazy huh.

  • @nrussell00 I feel the same way "ROBBED" All three of my Babies are born by c-section. I was never given a chance after the first c- section with no reasoning ( it was cause I already had one) my third one was cause I already had tw. I am also mad at myself for not being more educated and putting my foot down and refused the c-section the second time. i guess It reall wouldn't matter if I wanted a vaginal birth now, cause there is nobody around here that would assit a vba3c.

  • For 'Anyone' who thought that planning and succeeding in this HBA4C was a fluke, then I am really pleased to let you know that Melanie, did it again on 30th June at 0659hrs and baby Mark has now joined her family!! Pictures to follow!! xx

  • @Cocopop100

    Congratulations again.

    I had my 7th VBAC - rather a UWBAC - on July 8th, myself.

  • That is so impressive - well done!

  • Beautiful.....I am planning a HBA1C. You are an inspiration Melanie

  • aww congrats

  • You are literally my hope right now...I have 4 sections under my belt...wont go down without a fight this time!

  • GREAT JOB MOMMA!!!

  • you are amazing u gave me hope

  • Absolutley amazing !

Well done for having faith in your body and getting what you wanted !

Too many women are 'scared' to VBAC after one caesarean, let alone 4 !

I admire you; I've only had one caesarean which has been followed by 2 home VBAC's and now pregnant with twins I plan another Home VBAC.

    Congradulations x

    - Wendy, a HBA1C mom

  • Absoultely beautiful. Huge congratulations to Melanie and your family on the beautiful birth of your little boy. Thank you so much for sharing your story.

  • Thank you for sharing.

A beautiful birth, not what most women get, or expect. Spread the word, let women know that birth needn't be filled with fear and pain.

What if every woman had the chance to birth like this, in peace and beauty. What a legacy for our daughters and our sons who will father their children.

    Worth fighting for.

    xx

    Vicki
