  • The driver needs to wake up. And acceleration of the car is poor, you can clearly see on the straight that the car is still under 190 khp, while the bike has already reached above 240khp... is the ratio are about the same? looks like to me it aint...

  • Depends on the track, and the type of car, if its a single seater racecar with significant downforce and good power it stands a good chance, If its a road car, even if it has got 600hp, it is more than likely going to be blitzed by a supersport bike with 1000cc or more, unless its a mega slow twisty track. The way bikes accelerate out of corners onto straights is like nothing else. Thats the one area on a track where moto GP, even WSB is faster than F1, so as you can imagine a road car wont win.

  • and it is R6... and there were others riding on the track... it's not a fair race at all.

  • Good thing this is without music.

Gotta love the sound of a 6 cyl boxer and the R6

  • i bet most of the people on here dont even know the difference between quick and fast. most arent even considering physics in there arguments and just "owners manual facts"

power to weight ratio....aerodynamics....gearing...rider and driver skill...grip...g force...

a bike is way cooler imo and is easier to get to a higher speed for the buck... also.. when it comes to cruising down the freeway.... bikes dominate cars ...look up ghost rider :) also look up his modified turbo busa with 499 bhp

  • The Veyron is only fastest car in a straight line, not on track. Time attack cars are not standard production, but heavy moded with shitloads on money spent on them. If you mean the Morris MS evo so i`m sure it will beat just about anything. But if`s not fear to compare a std bike vs moded car, there are modified streetlegal bikes as well, who is way faster than a std prod, compare them with time atk-cars.

But no mater who is faster, bikes give an adrenalinerush cars can`t match.

  • this is a old 911 the new lemans 911 will rape that bike easily

  • @tinleo333 so we will change the bike to a 1000cc not the 600cc in this video.........

  • @jimmy69691000 even 1300cc will get rape easy specially in the turns a fast car is a fast car like ferrari fxx, zonda R you know what i am talking about.

  • I guess you cant compare a GT3 to a 1000cc bike.

If they want to campare, the get the fastest road supersport bike (today I think its the BMW S1000RR) and the fastest road car (Veyron).

When u have the fastest bike and car, then u can compare.

  • @LiMaMuFu No, cause you can't compare something that everyone can buy for cheap to something that a few people in the world can buy.

  • @RaskVousSalue Of course I can... i'm not comparing prices... but what's faster...!

  • An F1's relevance to this discussion is low in my opinion. This video is showing the best street car lap time on that track vs who knows what or who r6 lap time, so that we can see how fast reasonable street vehicles can be. On a regular day people drive 911's and r6's. F1 takes 4 people to operate and can't clear a small speedbump.

  • To all you people debating who is fastest of car vs bike: A bike is faster around a fast track, with straights, high speed corners etc. A car is faster around relatively slow tracks with lots of twisties and low speed corners. A car got better brakes and more grip in corners, so it benefits when its many slow sections. Which one wins depends where you drive.

  • @1986SoWhat I have to disagree. If you watch this clip and the two dots at the bottom on the track sketch, you can see that the r6 first pulls a lead in the tightest part of the track, as well as down the last straight.

  • @1986SoWhat an f1 car will beat a bike in any trak even an ariel atom or ferrari fxx or pagani zonda R and many more babe

  • @tinleo333 I meant road bike vs road car. Formulacars beat any bike. Ferrari roadcars or Atoms will beat a roadbike on a smal or slow track, but not on a fast track.

  • @1986SoWhat what about bugatti veyron supersports or an ams nissan gt-r with 1100hp or a time attack evo trust me it will beat the bike too in any track

  • wow awesome set up on the video. dead even at first checkpoint. good race

  • The Porsche 911 GT3 is not a F1 car... it's a street legal 2 door coupe.

  • @triscadek well and the r6 is not the fastest bike in the market

  • evryone needs to stop argueing about which one is faster because there completely diffrent machines that work in diffrent ways useing only mcancical grip car vs bike is pritt even the cars biggest advantage over a bike is breaking power a bikes biggest advantage over a car is accelaration so on diffrent tracks things wil be diffrent on trakcs that require heavy breaking and alot of left to right chicanes a car streghs will be exploted and it wil be quiker but on a less twsty track a bike willwin

  • what car is this? anyway if it were an f1 car than ot would have destroyed that bike. nothin and i repeat nothing can beat an f1 car around a track

  • @cardude1992 What has F1 got to do with comparing road going vehicles on a race track?

  • @droceretik Im not talking about road going vehicles. im just saying not even race bikes can beat f1. so cars are faster

  • The most amazing thing about the bikes is the bang for the buck. I own an '08 Kawasaki ZX10R about $15,000 in performance upgrades. After the engine internals I plan over next winter I'm literally out of things to upgrade. So $30k gets me to maybe 90% the performance of a million dollar F1 car ?

  • You could pick up a bike and race it for well under $10K To do the same with a car and go just as fast you are looking at $40K+ and still nothing you could use on the street

  • Most remarkable of the story is that a bike does'nt use downforce at all, Nice vid!

  • Everybody compairs F1 car with MOTOGP. F1 are faster but, are those things cars our planes with upside down wings?? In some circuits 990 cc motogp were faster on the straights. F1 already died, it has no interest at all, Senna died, F1 died, sad but truth.

  • cars take corners faster than motorcycles, but motorcycles have good acceleration and breaking. F1 is the fastest, motorcycle's disadvantage is handling, rear tire isn't enough for its power.

  • a car has better brakes...but nice try little wannabe

  • in this race the motorcycle but at top end race the car will get it

  • look at the car and bike laps for phillip island theres only 2 cars faster than a mto gp bike round there bouth are f1 style cars think they might be f3 but the other cars evrythin race car you can think of is slower than the bike

  • F1 destroy MotoGp bike

  • take out the downforce wings on the F1 & let them race using mechanical grip alone & lets see if the F1 car can win against a MotoGP bike.

  • @2F4R you only need an excuse if you lose. F1 is the pinnacle of 4 wheel racing and MotoGP is the pinnacle of 2 wheeled racing - the car is faster.

  • @2F4R the F1 would take off into the air like a F16...what the hell you think downforce is for (O_o)

  • @2F4R

F1 would still win. The F1 car still has more lateral grip from its tires, its working differentials, and lower center or gravity, than bike can ever achieve. Four massive brakes on each wheel will also cause it to stop sooner. As for straight line speed, well F1 is already faster as shown by the video of BMW Sauber F1 car going against a bike.

    Quit being delusional.

  • @2F4R f1 rules and rape the bike

  • @2F4R asking a F1 car to race without downforce is like asking a bike to race without the engine, pointless arguement

  • you in an F1 car and me on the bike...I destroy you!!!

  • And the bike has other ones on the track, that makes the mission more difficult. I never liked Porsche anyway XD

  • On most tracks GT3 is not faster than a 600cc motorcycle. DTM lap times are about the same compaired to MotoGP. F1 is about 30 percent faster round the track than MotoGP. MotoGP does 0-250 km in about 8 seconds. F1 does the same but has a better acceleration in midrange (100-200 in 2.5 sec). Down force above 200 km ph is finally consuming a lot of acceleration. Cars are not better in corners but better in braking to the apex of the corner.

  • @hulinos 0-250 in 8s is for moto GP, F1 in the V10 versions took 9s for the 0-300, the difference is HUGE, mono-seater are not just faster in acceleration and in braking (here the difference is really big) but even in the same corners, the faster ones, for example the r-130 (suzuka) is taken at around 220km/h by a moto GP (the same speed a normal FR or MR sport car would take it), but at 295km/h by a F1..the result is the lap times..about 1.30 for F1, 2.30 for Moto GP,30% is just in some track

  • what circuit is this?

  • @rhinoboy111 Calabogie, in Canada. I got this from the original post on another site. Also look on the data display, it is grainy, but now you know what to look for you can see it just to the right of the bike instruments in the black, near the bottom of the video screen.

  • @britishbikes12 cheers :)

  • great video, go yamaha!

  • DTM lap times are about the same as MotoGp lap times. But when it comes to normal street toys the bike is always faster. F1 cars are much, much faster round the track than the fastest bike or any other car. With a 25% faster lap time on average the bike, any bike, hasn't a goast of a chance.

  • That's actually a yamaha r6 not an r1. So it's just a 600cc bike vs car and the bike still won.

  • I realised it was a 600cc, because in the long straight, the bike could not easily thrash 200km/h, as normally expected. I agree, that on this track, the Porsche would be an even easier target for a bike with more grunt!

  • Yeah, the bike would thrash it in a second if it was an R1 :) don't get me wrong R6's are still really fast bikes but just no comparison to an R1.

  • yeah now the drivers swap places... any twat can drive a car.

  • what a silly comment to make!

  • there are faster ones than Porsche gt3

  • yea and there are faster ones than an R1

  • Nice vid!

Yeah its a R6. Why? Because if you look @ acceleration from 200...the acceleration upwards is way to slow for a 1000cc bike.

  • Its definatley an R6

  • u guys are stupid look at the inverted forks its a r6 ri has the liquid in the bottom....

  • You cant fall off a car and die though. end of.

  • well at near 200 km/h a wreck in any vehicle pretty bad

  • Bikes are incredible!

Question: Is the Porsche 911 GT3 more powerful than the Audi RS4?

    Thanks.

  • nice!!!!!the bike win!!!!and it was just a yamaha r6 not some super bike like the car ... a porscche gt3!!!! cool!!! bike owns!!!yeah!!!!

  • the bike was a yamaha r1 just thought i would let you know

  • It's R6... you can even hear it's a R6

  • there are two bikes, one making the video and the one racing...

  • there is not two bikes making the vido but you are right it is the r1, it is writen above the speed read out next to the red dot.

  • Comment removed

  • no your right it is an r6 but the it defo says r1 next to the dot i had my girlfriend in and she thought so too. how i know now its an r6 is the speedo its from 2003 yzf r6, plus it says in the info at the end "tags: yamaha r6 porsche 911 gt3 car vs motorcycle bike auto" in blue :-),

    sorry my bad thanks!

  • who the fuk said that???? PorsChe won all the way short and long run LLLL Car wins LLLL

  • what? The bike won, bikes always win. Cars are no match to motorbikes.

  • What are the lap times for cars and bikes at the Nürburgring???? hondaCBR1000RR 8min 12.62

thats around a BMW M5 or evo IX.

even a subaru impretza sti is faster!!

Bikes very good at accelerating, cars good at corners. Pick a track with lots of straights (or a race from the traffic lights) the bikes will do better, but on a proper race circuit cars win.

  • That's because honda cbr1000rr's are shit bikes, there's loads better than that, and also stock suspension setups on bikes are a big downfall on bikes, but with racing suspension they corner waay better, also with improved braking also, track bikes and track cars i'm sure the track bikes come out on top (to be honest track bikes are waay too fast, they are crazy machines) with motorbikes you alter things to improve them at 1 thib\ng unlike cars which it doesn't matter as much

  • Are you seriously saying a track bike is faster than a track car? name a circuit where a GP bike has a faster lap record than a track car!

  • No im saying it depends on the track and what the motorbike is set up for, motorbikes have only reacently started being built for many purposes, but they are doing well considering. A motorbike is best for what it's built for, most cars have many purposes unlike motorbikes. Some tracks bikes are better at and some cars are better at.

Bikes are better out of corners cars are better in corners, bikes are better acceleration (most) cars are better top speed, so i think they are about the same.

  • pound for pound you can get more in a road bike than a road car I agree. £10k gets you a cbr1000rr (even if it is s£$") which will beat a family car of the same price, a 1.4 astra! But even a superbike with the best suspension in the world wouldn't beat something like a radical SR in anything other than a drag race. But both would be fun to watch racing :)

  • I personally think it depends on the track, any harsh braking areas and the car will probably win but on a bendy track with little braking i think bikes are a lot better at, so i think it depends with the SR and superbike but yeah it would be cool to watch :)

  • Mountain circuit on the Isle of Man? :P

  • You are being a little economical with the truth here. This is the slowest lap time for a motorcycle shown in a wikipedia article; the fastest is 7:17. This is still way slower than the fastest cars as they tend to brake and corner better than a motorcycle. However, that said, motorcycles tend to fair very well against all but the very fastest of cars.

  • the 7:17 time is done over 19100m not 20832m like the rest This is over a mile shorter!!

  • Very nice comparison! Proper done video - nice driving!
