Hmm something isn't right! You should have been able to hear an immediate change with your CAI. taking out that plastic blatter in your stock intake lets you hear Vtec kick in.
FYI drive with caution in the rain since your air filter now sits close to your bumper! Almost sucked in water with mine during rainy season!
I know you can buy a hydroshield if you got an Injen intake, which does protect the intake to an extent. However it doesn't repel any and all water that could be coming in... Too bad Injen doesn't make a water bypass valve like AEM does..
Lots of people say a good way to not get water in your CAI is to not hit the gas pedal when you're about to go over a puddle.
hey yeah, actually now that its broken in its definitley louder at WOT.
and no i didnt take of the front bumper. I just peeled back the right inner wheel well. it was a piece of cake. 1.5 hours, first time doing it. if your handy with your tools, you'll be fine.
me neither. thts why i posted, to see if it was just me. but i think it sounds different now. ill make another one. i think now that its broken in, its gotten louder. or maybe its just me once again. :p

if you disconnect the battery for about an hour it resets the computer and the intake will be instantly noticeable

I actually did notice it a bit. It seems like it's the same noise, only more noticeable, I suppose.
By the way did you have to take your front bumper off to put that intake in? I've heard both yes and no depending on who I've asked.
