  • And there is no craps playing I hear. That was pretty damn good.

  • Real nice review. Over all which set do you prefer? The D-activators or the crunchlab/liquifire combo?

  • @fatso1ification Honestly, I think the D-Activator bridge, Liquifire Neck is the combo to go for. Especially if you play tighter metal.

  • @sbabinie Cheers man. This is by far the best benchmark/soundcheck on youtube for this set. And your playing is wicked! Subbed!

  • @fatso1ification Thanks a bunch man!

  • What kind of speaker cab are you using? Also, I envy your Engl. Nice amp! Thanks.

  • @DirtyMustache79 Its a really old Carvin that desperately needs new speakers, lol

  • do you recommend the d activator in the bridge with a liquifire for a epiphone goth explorer (for metal obviously, metalcore style from Black Veil Brides, Bullet For My Valentine but also more progressive tones from Lamb of God and Evile)

  • @blackwidow88812 is it a mahogany body? If so, yeah, I would definitely recommend that!

  • @sbabinie thanks, fast reaction BTW

  • One thing I took from this vid. The CL seems to have more presence. The D activator has a more full body metal growl. Not sure what to do here...

  • im sorry but you did do the d activatore first right? if soo im totally getting some!

  • @cbertram11 D-Activators are in the Black guitar, CL/LF are in the amber one.

  • nice guitars and better playin, no offence to ur guitars

  • @TuGinecologo F-spaced is if you have a Flyod Rose.

  • f spaced pickups?, i have a rg 1527 and i want to change the pickups, i want a d-activator but i don't know if i have to buy a f spaced or a not f spaced (sorry for my english, i'm learning)

  • @TuGinecologo Yes, they are F-Spaced. If I remember correctly, F-Spaced is the Fender bridge spacing between the strings, and non-FSpaced is a Gibson TOM bridge spacing. Ibanez uses Fender string spacing specs, so F-Spaced will work just fine.

  • @sbabinie F-spaced pickups is for guitar with a Tremolo (Floyd Rose, all Ibanez Edge, Ibanez ZR .etc) non F-spaced is for guitar with Fixed Bridge (Gibson's TOM, Ibanez Tight Tune, all Ibanez Gibraltar .etc)

  • poser;)

  • Fuck! I love the finish on your RG 1527. what did you do to the top? some kind of stain?

  • @ElectricTurkey1 Hey thanks! Yeah it used to be that Royal Blue sparkly crap, but I sanded it all down and used a black wood stain I got from home depot on the top, while leaving the sides and back natural. After a few coats of stain I used a few cans of gloss lacquer, and then wet sanded and buffed it shiney! It took a while, but I am pretty happy with the results!

  • nice playing , i love this guitars

  • nice playing

  • are those normal d activators or d activator x's ?cuz im stuck between which pair i want

  • @Ayjay717 They are normal ones. The 7 string D-A

  • @Ayjay717 which did you get? im also stuck one which ones i should choose? i play metal but i use the clean channel alot! so im torn on which to buy!

  • @luisguitarc214 i have the dimarzio x2n its just a lil cuinchier than the activator x's but the x's sound closer to emg's than the x2n but i think the x2n sounds better than emgs. motorhead, chuck schuldiner of death and symphony x use the x2n

  • Cool playing!!! thanks for your vid!! helped me a lot!!! what do you think of RG7321 (instead of 1527) and RGD7321 (instead of 2027)???

  • @SHREDDER222X Thanks man! We the RG7321 is definitely going to be lower quality than the 1527, but it does have a basswood body as well, so I would expect the pickups to act the same. The RGD7321 is a different scale length, and different body wood than the 2027, so those really won't match tonally at all.

  • @sbabinie thank you!!!

  • Dude, thanks for makin this vid! Is your crunchlab with the bar facing bridge or neck?

  • @jerryzkidz99 I had it facing the neck when I had it in the 1527 previously. That was with the basswood body. When I moved it to the 2027, I changed the bar to be towards the bridge, because the mahogany body is a bit darker in sound.

  • Hi dude ! What do you think about the Dimarzio D activator bridge ?? thanks ;)

  • Those both sound great -

  • Both have nice quilitys that you can even hear through a youtube video, do you have a favorite?

  • @notrightloser Depends on what I am playing. If the song is predominately metal, I will definitely use the 1527 with DAs, because its just got more snap, and is more defined and clear.

However, for something like a solo project, I would definately use the 2027 with CL/LF. They are a little more full and warm.
