I find it kind of fascinating. It's obviously not written for the enjoyment of neurotypical people so he goes quite heavy of the numbers (describing colors in HEX for instance), so I think it's something so completely different from what we're supposed to think of as literature that you can't judge it by the same standard. Much like you can't judge modern artworks like that giant pencil by the standards of the Renaissance masters.
