You can pray for another man's salvation. Salvation comes from grace and some people don't have enough of it. Besides, salvation is to be worked out with fear and trembling. It's not guaranteed and irreversible. You know what the Bible says about those who turn back from the plow.

Ha! I don't know anyone who has received salvation at all. I believe many have, but I don't know. We won't know until the final day. And I wouldn't be so presumptious if I were you - that's a sin in itself. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, and don't speak of it again until you've gone the distance, fought the good fight, finished the race.

You can forgive your parents for what they have done, and be a better parent to your children. Your parents have given you the gift of life. Make the choice to do better than what they did to you.
