@ehsan0606 Very low PSI turbos can be barely audible. I'd assume this is at a rather low PSI, since it's not exactly a Ferrari F40 or Lancia Delta S4 :P
@josephboot it essentially is the same car, same underbody, similar engine, similar chassis - all yaris owners should know what they are really driving
I love these little cars. Turbocharged, they're even cooler. I want to get some wider axles or some axle adapters for wider wheels with street performance tires, and a set of nastily offset rims, then fiberglass up some fenders old-school style for it. Lower it, then, and it would look sick. Maybe some gold BBS wheels.
I can say one think, no mercedes and bmw cant stay with toyota ans mitsubishi near, they sux bcs, only 2 year warranty and all computer always fucks mind.
@Akkuetj you are right ,my freinds have bmw and everytime they have problems is always around 1000euros to fix the car, most of the times is something electronic, i have a toyota since 2003 and i never had one problem.bmw sucks compared to toyota, bmw's have more hp but doesn't mean they have better cars
@mandreolo Buddy, if you don't take care of the car it will fuck up, no matter the brand. For your information, ALL the 98-02 Corollas have engine problems, around 150k the pistons get oval and the engine is scrap. Toyota are also at the top of the list if we talk about recalls, with Ford. The pedal issue? Toyota was too cheap to invest in a better quality pedal, thus, problems.
Everything has a price.. you might also simply have struck a lousy dealer that tries to screw every costumer. =o)
@schimor now I have 200k km on my toyota and is still like the first day,ZERO problems.I think maybe because was the "engine of the year" in the year 2000.In the meantime my friend nunzio with an M3 changed his exhaust gas catalysts and the ECU.Another friend with a mercedes ML 63 AMG had an engine problem and his 120k euros car got stuck in the middle of an highway. The pedal issue of toyota was caused by a piece that was made in USA.I'm sure toyota will never buy a thing from the states anymore
@mandreolo Well you did say it was a 2k3, right? =o)
The pedal was sold by Americans, yes (Delphi if I remember correctly, they were cheaper than Denso products).
They competed over prices, not quality, that's what I meant.
Don't be mistaken, those're made in China. If you want to talk about American products let's talk about 3 speed automatic transmissions like there was on most GM's in the 70s and up .. never had problems, those never slip or die. We're talking 20 years ago maybe more.
@schimor yes the problem is that now the big companies always look at the profit and the marketing more than the quality. In Italy in the 80's there was Alfa Romeo that was a really cool brand with turbocharged gasoline engines and very good quality cars, like alfa 75 turbo america. In 90's fiat bought alfa romeo and now in 2010 they started again to put turbocharged gasoline engines but they haven't the rough power and acceleration that they had before.
@mandreolo Companies look at profit, but we can't ignore the fact that one can now buy a brand new car for ten grand .. and the bastard will get over 200k KM pretty decently lol.
There might be less power, but we've got the fuel economy ^^ and the mechanics have such an easier job since everything is electronically controlled.
is this also same as soluna (vios turbo) from thailand? its a sedan actually...but asian version of the yaris from U.S..how much hp is this and its 0-100 kph in seconds? can you tell tose bits?
well, i hear no dump valve!!! sure Lots of air flow!! but i might be wrong!!!

itrs turbo and it still makes less than a regular 2.0 ecotec
bergaflickal 1 year ago
@bergaflickal yes but take the weight of the car into consideration. 160 hp in that little bean pod would probably still be pretty peppy.

@xpaullywogx ya got me there they weigh probably the same as the old crx did

how much you paid for turbo? was that turbo kit? where did u get that?
is it very hard to "put turbo on 1.5 ts"? :)
discoholic 3 years ago
This is a limited version from Toyota it's not conversion. Also there are turbo and compressor kit for 1.5 ts.
ChrisMrs 3 years ago
maybe you know prices? it can be approximate
discoholic 3 years ago 2
you made an engine swap right?
because the yaris sport
comes with an 1.3 engine...
you are using the engine of the sedan right?
sleepwalkingfall 3 years ago
No this is not engine swap.yaris ts had 1.5 engine and later 1.5 turbo with 160 bhp. Also had lsd and better handling.
ChrisMrs 3 years ago
ok, my bad! The things that here in chile (south america), we only have 2 yaris... the normal sedan (1.5) and the normal sport (1.3).
I Thought this was another special version, because of the odometers, are very different
from the yaris that i know.
anyway..nice car dude!!!..
