I love these little cars. Turbocharged, they're even cooler. I want to get some wider axles or some axle adapters for wider wheels with street performance tires, and a set of nastily offset rims, then fiberglass up some fenders old-school style for it. Lower it, then, and it would look sick. Maybe some gold BBS wheels.

@mandreolo Buddy, if you don't take care of the car it will fuck up, no matter the brand. For your information, ALL the 98-02 Corollas have engine problems, around 150k the pistons get oval and the engine is scrap. Toyota are also at the top of the list if we talk about recalls, with Ford. The pedal issue? Toyota was too cheap to invest in a better quality pedal, thus, problems.

Everything has a price.. you might also simply have struck a lousy dealer that tries to screw every costumer. =o)

@schimor now I have 200k km on my toyota and is still like the first day,ZERO problems.I think maybe because was the "engine of the year" in the year 2000.In the meantime my friend nunzio with an M3 changed his exhaust gas catalysts and the ECU.Another friend with a mercedes ML 63 AMG had an engine problem and his 120k euros car got stuck in the middle of an highway.The pedal issue of toyota was caused by a piece that was made in USA.I'm sure toyota will never buy a thing from the states anymore

The pedal was sold by Americans, yes (Delphi if I remember correctly, they were cheaper than Denso products).

They competed over prices, not quality, that's what I meant.

Don't be mistaken, those're made in China. If you want to talk about American products let's talk about 3 speed automatic transmissions like there was on most GM's in the 70s and up .. never had problems, those never slip or die. We're talking 20 years ago maybe more.

@schimor yes the problem is that now the big companies always look at the profit and the marketing more than the quality.In Italy in the 80's there was Alfa Romeo that was a really cool brand with turbocharged gasoline engines and very good quality cars,like alfa 75 turbo america.In 90's fiat bought alfa romeo and now in 2010 they started again to put turbocharged gasoline engines but they haven't the rough power and acceleration that they had before.

@mandreolo Companies look at profit, but we can't ignore the fact that one can now buy a brand new car for ten grand .. and the bastard will get over 200k KM pretty decently lol.

There might be less power, but we've got the fuel economy ^^ and the mechanics have such an easier job since everything is electronically controlled.

This is a limited version from Toyota it's not conversion.Also there are turbo and compressor kit for 1.5 ts.

No this is not engine swap.yaris ts had 1.5 engine and later 1.5 turbo with 160 bhp.Also had lsd and better handling.

ok, my bad! The things that here in chile (south america), we only have 2 yaris... the normal sedan (1.5) and the normal sport (1.3).

I Thought this was another special version, because of the odometers, are very different

from the yaris that i know.
