can someone explain to me the difference between finecast, resin, plastic and metal? is finecast metal? what kind of metal is it and more importantly what is resin? sorry for the noobish question.
@kickthetv643 actually man, i hate to say it but thats not true, the fine cast does have superior detail and delicasy. finecast is only poor at the moment because GW is throwing out any old %^$&* and not bothering with QC. sit down with a *good* finecast and a metal model of the same character and you will see that finecast is awesome. the problem of course is finding a good finecast...
Lately I've got my Theoden finecast. Foot was ok. Sword and sword puch needed to be straighten but ok. Mounted model looked like it was put into acid. I cant really describe it look. Air bubbles and holes in all figure. Also it was whole almost split into 2 at about 3mm. Just like their forms were apart half the process.
It was my first, and last finecast model. I'd rather searh ebay for used metal ones.
the resin may not be the reason for the price increase, but if its cheaper to produce why did these new models also take such a huge (in some cases over 30%) increase?
I love my finecast zoanthrope it's awesome the first one I got was a bit weird with it's cranium but not beyond usage but I took it to GW and thay gave me a whole Jew model and let me keep my other one so now I get 2 zoanthropes and they are both used frequently in my army I love finecast
@TyranidHivemaster yeah man thats fine, but when it is a mail order only model then its a whole differrent story... 3 weeks posting back and forth and i still dont have an acceptable model...

i miss metal minatures, it felt so cool having a special character or a type of character or hq or some sort that wasnt basic groups, that was made of metal due to the feel and weight of the model when moving it around, it felt good using them in game.
@mandragoradravgis fair enough man, this comment made me laugh like a fool! my reason, i like the GW universe so i like the official merch. even if i end up resculpting everything, also laziness, its easier to adapt something someone else has made (no matter how poor) than scratch build. but yeah man you have a point. still it took me three weeks posting back and forth to GW to get a miniature that was even partially acceptable. it would be fine if i could go into one of their stores and buy it
@shadowynne but... it was a mail order only product. all i am saying is GW need to get QC under control, finecast is a great product, but they really, REALLY need to start putting some time into QC. models missing whole limbs and faces, not acceptable. i never had this problem with metal!
@EDzzzzz13 It realy depends on the model itself, I find. For example, a normal Space Marine covers his chest with his boltgun, so it's easier to paint the torso before attaching the weapon.
dont be so harsh on games workshop they`ve started warhammer and warhammer 40k (i think) . They`ve been doing it for over 20 years they bound to run in to money difficulties in that time with other buisnesses .
forge world is terrible their products are really really expensive and to find out the rules for them for have to buy a really expensive book. I just want to know the rules not some stupid story with the rules.
Its probably been said elsewhere, but there ISN"T more detail on the resin cast, you can merely see the detial more clearly because the model is matt and not relective like the metal cast. Stand the two casts side by side having given them both an undercoat, you will not see the difference ,except of course that the resin will be full of air bubbles because the casting crew seemingly don't know how to decompress their moulds.
It goes without saying that I dislike their approach to resin.
@impofhighnoon i agree with the air bubbles and crap like that. but id rather have a few air bubble that i can fill in with green stuff, that a nicely painted metal model that chips all the time...
@impofhighnoon Go into a shop. Look at a metal astorath compared to a resin one. There's a substantial difference. Look at his eyes and mouth, they actually recede into the model because he has a mask on. The Pewter could not cast that kind of attention to detail. Look at the new mangler squigs with a goblin moulded inside the squig's mouth.... That would've never been possible with metal.
@AndyBDj87 I can't actually do that though Andy, there isn't going to be a metal astorath in store for me to make a comparison. My original comment stands, the only difference between the two is going to be the surface finish, one being matt and so easier to see and the other being shiney. If there were a difference (other than the obvious air bubbles miss-aligned moulds etc) it would be due to an inferior mould, which would be odd as they'd have used the same master...
@PivotPredator1 not true man... im a metal worker and a resin caster... white metal isnt any harder to produce then resin. white metal is more expensive and has much greater wear on parts but seriously is not any harder to produce... i seriously do both regularly and find white metal less problamatic than resin...
I've been building planes, tanks and ship models for 15 yrs and everyone knows in my profession that resin is cheap and brittle material to work with, it's ok for models, since the intention is to paint and display
but for game board miniatures that are handled over and over, GW might as well pull down their pants and take a dump on their fans.
FINECAST IS SHIT, GW ARE GONNA HAVE TO LISTEN TO THEIR FUCKEN CUSTOMERS AND CHANGE IT BACK TO FUCKEN METAL. FINECAST JUST BREAKS, ENOUGH SAID. ...oh and ahh.......nice video
All in all, Games Workshop miniatures are only expensive if you buy them often, whereas if you expand your army slowly then you dont have to cough up so often.
when they announced the price hike and the resin switch I sold all my models and never looked back
getting less for more is not really an acceptable business practice. There are companies selling 54mm white metal figurines for the price of finecast figures, so they can, somehow, afford to sell a more expensive material and twice as much of it at the same price as GW's resin.
@Armitage01101 yea GW models cost way too much money $65 for 10 space marines that can get destroyed if droped or crashed under something and now a price rise. also i liked the metal models if they were small simple units like commander or Chaplain that only needed one or two pice's glued. now i buy all my warhammer 40k stuff from ebay so much beter i got $290 werth of tyranids and only pained $95 for it enles these something i really want i will by it from GW or if i need paint/die and crap.
I just quit GW altogether. Plenty of other miniature games at more affordable prices, especially at the skirmish level. For large armies there's Mantic games.
For a more affordable hobby overall there are board games aplenty.
it would have been way better to just make them plastic ... plastiv worked perfekt and just look at the trygons head its possible to get good details on playtsc too
I heard that the resin is highly toxic. I heard that it can make you seriously ill if you breathe in any scrapings in the air. That it's like aspestos. Is this true. Should I invest in a mask for scraping the minitures
@Zwitter101 I dont know if anyone replied to this before so my apologies if so ,i wouldnt worry about a mask for scraping resin minis ,its only if you sand a large area and creat very fine dust ,i would recommend a mask for that hope this helps !
personally, I think this finecast stuff is a load of rubbish they should of stuck with the metal models. I was in my local GW shop and decided to pick a model up to see what they where like i chose Njal Stormcaller well lets just say im glad i have my chaos army finished with metal and not finecast. The first thing i noticed was alot of excess more than usual, and upon closer inspection i found half of his face was missing and not moulded. and this continued throughout I say forget finecast
It's unlikely to be a raw price increase, it's likely to simply be rising with inflation. This means it will actually be the same price, or there abouts. Don't feel ripped off :)
Does anyone know if it's possible to strip paint from these finecast nodels?
I'd try myself but they are too pricey to take teh risk on them personally. And Sprue is not a good enough test for a strip imo as it's mainly flat and would be better to test on something with a bit of intriicate work. I'm just wondering if this material is made so we hobby-ist CAN'T strip em. Just a thought...
I don' want to pay around $20 (at the LEAST!) for a model when its prone to miscast, in fact, I really don't care so much about the material anyways, they might as well make them in the same plastic like they do with a majority of their range. (although to be honest, I do prefer my characters to be metal)
,y point is here, I'm not so mad about the price, its still as expensive as it was, but I'm not going to be buying any faulty products, regardless of whoever its from.
I really am scared about fincast models. price is one thing, and GW would do a good move to stop overcharging but when it comes down to it, if you really want it you're going to find a way to get it (sorry for you guys in Australia though, I know how bad it is over there and I don't blame you guys if you want to boycott GW)
I've heard that the detail quality is amazing, and that these models are easy for converting, but what worries me is how so many people are complaining about miscasts.
I have bought 9 Finecast and ever one of them has had to be returned. Of the ones I returned 6 had to be returned a second time, 2 had be returned a total of 3 times before I got good ones and my Njal model has now been returned for new ones 4 times. I am waiting for my 5th one to come back from GW right now.
NAH,,,,no problem at all with FInecast. One of the GW phone people told me they were only able to produce one finecast model for every 6 metal model before the switch because of problems
... the problem is ... not every one can afford it if they keep on rising the costs i mean ... i onlt get like 40 euro allowence a month and maby 50 euro i can keep from what i earn on my job but how the fuck can new people buy stuff wen the prices are to expensive ? sorry for my english
The fact is there's always people complaining, and always people complaining aabout complainers. There will always be rigid fanboys who readily devour anything a particular company churns out, there will be people who turn away easier, and the obligatory haters.
The single problem I have with Finecast, is that they are touted as the world's best miniatures, I quote: "...the highest quality miniatures the world has ever seen - Citadel Finecast."
@Rassoul44 That's what I ask as well. I paid $36 for Finecast Eldar Striking Scorpions, why couldn't they have cast them in standard plastic like the Dire Avengers? The Avengers came out just fine in plastic, why not the rest of the army troops but cast the characters in resin? I guess they just gotta squeeze every penny out of ya!
@Rassoul44 Probably because some gamers like detail. Overall I prefer Plastic for durability and its easy to put together, but I recently got some Sternguard Veterans and I really liked them, and im overall impressed by the quility of Finecast minitures.
Maybe he should talk about conversions. lol How do they hold up to metal and plastic when you start cutting on them? lol I bet I know...and I bet it's one of the reasons they went to resin.
@Pariah1974 It seem unlikely, but I don't think GW uses resin of the Forgeworld type as stated. I dropped draigo three feet off the ground and it bounced on tile flooring with no breakage. It isn't very tough, but it;s no longer as brittle :D
@Pariah1974 the resin they are using is very flexable, i test dropped several identical characters in metal and finecast and the finecast dont break! it is a good resin mix when they can be bothered to cast it properly
Went to a hobby store three days ago zoanthroap used to be 15$ now 25$ if gamesworkshop keeps raising their prices every year like that they'll lose some customers
1) Theres too much flaw! i cant build some of them because of it!
Then, by law, they woul have to give you a refund or replacement
2) Its too expensive!
Calm down, the character models (the only ones you are eventually probably needing to buy) cost the same as before. Although i will admit some are too expensive (Blood Knights, 60 quid for 5 models? You can fuck off)
@ninchao1 i cant remember the name of it, but it applies to any company who sells you things, if the product is faulty they have to give you a full refund.(it definately applies in Britain, not sure about other countries but i would think so)
they are now more expensive at the time the comment was written, a full 7 months ago, they both cost the same. (i did actually check the site when i wrote it) every year GW ups its prices, it had nothing to do with finecast. I hope this satisfies you.
@ActarratcA It's called The Sales of Goods Act; you could in theory get a full refund on something you bought months ago by evoking this Act; shoddy electrical goods that become faulty just after the manufacturer's warranty runs out is a good example.
They're really good. I've seen them. So much easier to build that the metal, they're like HD models. The 'Eavy Metal team were impressed too! And you don't question them.
one of the worst quality line of models GW has ever done, and they are already experts at poor quality models so its quite an achievement for them really, I think for every decent one people have reported there has to be at least a dozen poor ones varying from bad to OMG WTF IS THAT?!
thank god decent companies don't follow GW by example.
From when I started collecting GW miniatures (about 9 years ago), they have always been good quality. And as for the "at least a dozen poor ones", there are always teething issues with new products and the flaws will eventually be ironed out. Besides, as far as I know, anyone who has received a relatively poor quality miniature has been given a new one absolutely free.
@StuckCrab all right GW fanboi, i have been in the GW hobby for over 20 years and i can easily say that fine cast has the absolute piss-poorest QC i have EVER seen in ANY miniature line produced by any company EVER. sure they offer replacements but here i am on week number 4 waiting for my fourth re-shipped miniature to arrive that will robably be a complete casting cluster %&^*%^. this level of QC is unacceptable and you know it... also 3 times+ shipping isnt exactly "free"...
@shadowynne The fuck? My comment is 8 months old so obviously they wouldn't be giving out miniatures for free anymore. If they are still having issues with FC at this stage then they really have screwed up. I am currently not actively collecting GW miniatures so I don't know how the current quality is. I can say however that GW miniatures are in general very good quality compared to most other miniatures. The price is the main thing putting people off ATM, including me.
@sterling101Videos yeh cuz you know...the amount of time in the design's is definatly wasted i mean... look at all these new models coming out they sure are terrible with there great designs...
you sir are a fail... i'd like to see you design and create better models than gw.. or perhaps you have and you are full of anger because you did such a poor job... then again you are most likely mad at the new prices and are saying things that you dont mean because your not really thinking well...
@sterling101Videos oh really and thats coming from the retard himself. By the looks of many minis i have seen gw's minis are definatly one of the best miniture devolopers even matt thinks they look good so i think you should not even comment on how they look because by the looks of things you have no idea what you are talking about like i said before
@redchickenproduction the designs, and models arnt the problem. its the QC on finecast that is the problem. no design no matter how cool, looks good with no face or missing limbs...
Actually, I believe the original PR statement was that [Finecast] were the highest quality miniatures produced 'in such quantities' in the whole world. Since GW is a worldwide company, this claim isn't false.
Yeah i will not be collecting GW anymore. costs too much, which means my chaos marines army will be collecting dust unless i sell them.. Privateer Press is better IMO. love their style, already have a 25 point army list i just need to get a few more pieces which will not cost me an arm and a leg
Check your facts MWG, they said "There are no other miniatures that exist of this quality and manufactured on this scale in the world," Check out the whats new today from May 23rd. Now I also agree with you that they are not the best quality ever, but they are right when they say these are the best quality that are produced at this scale. Which is basically like saying I came in first place in a race where I was the only racer. But still they are not lying lol.
i think they look awesome and i hate metal why do mini wargaming have such a rant previously bout these products u know u love games workshop really :p
I believe they said these are the most highly detailed >>mass produced<< miniatures in the world. Which makes me more likely to believe the claim knowing it would exclude unique, custom miniatures that I'm sure someone makes with higher quality if you pay for it.
You're completely right about people misinterpreting the release of these with a price increase. I saw the new miniatures and thought, "cool." When I looked at the prices I thought, "What the hell is this? The prices should be the same if not cheaper compared to the metal models."
@jollyross not true man, where did you hear that? i cast in metal and resin and my white metal molds wear out 50% faster than my resin molds... thats just crazy talk dude...
@shadowynne Maybe GW needs to use the same molds ur using then mate. How many pages did you scroll back to just to read my comment tho dude lol its like 9 months old.
@jollyross holy crap dude it is 9mo old! sorry man didnt mean to necro-post yah, your comment showed up on the first page of comments! and yeah man, if GW are saying resign has greater mold wear then they really need to get better molds, i dont use anything special just a good quality silicone...
IMO, I like the new type of material used. It will be easier to put together and has great detail.
I don't mind the 1$ increase on my Astoroth the Grim I bought yesterday for the decrease in hassle of putting together and transporting. Lack of durability was such a big issue with metal. Seriously I've had old plastic termagants that would bounce if it fell off the table. If a metal/plastic model fell over it would fall apart. If an all metal model fell off the table it would shatter.
Wait until you try to clean painting mistakes. What if you want to change a color shceme or try to clean and resale. We will see if you like this expensive resin crap. It would not be a big deal if the prices had gone down. No room for mistakes and no forgiveness for new painter/gamers.
If u cannot afford the price, simply quit....if u continue complaining, u r still GW's loyal customer wheather u admit or not, cuz u still care abt GW's products. I was wondering why there r so many angry comments. do these guys actually believe that GW is going to lower their prices because of ur words? Stop such childish, GW is a bussiness, not charity, they can only be driven by profits, not words...
@darkhabsburg so true and no business is ever going to drop their prices, the price hike was the annual one that just keeps pace with each countries current rate of inflation and it might look cheaper to buy in other countries but the cost still comes the same in the end. i for one dont give a damn and the resin is nice. the guy above your comment obviously doesnt understand that hobbies cost and GW produces on a much higher scale than other companies out on the market today.
@darkhabsburg I agree with a lot of the points you make, but words can make a difference, its a type of stakeholder. These are pressure groups. But there are so few of them, and most of them are so bitchy they would never listen to them. But i agree with you except that part.
@darkhabsburg While I agree that complaining on a youtube video is effectively pointless, that does not mean people should not be upset or should not speak up. Some of us actually care enough about the game and the hobby to want it to survive and be open to new players, but this does not mean we agree with everything GW does. In fact, I would argue we care more than people who quit or shut up, because we are actually trying to make the game, and the hobby, better by telling GW when they screw up
I am not convinced that all of the 40%+ price increase for these things is 'standard GW price rise', and I am sure that the increase is partially because they can be marketted as 'new and improved' miniatures, even where the moulds are the same. Anyway, thanks for this video. Its really useful, and I appreciate that it was the point of view of a fan, not necessarily someone trying to sell me stuff.
If you think GW make the best minis then you need to stock more miniatures. Guild of Harmony, Dark Sword, Studio McVey just to name a few are miles ahead of GW when it comes to quality. You should really take some time to investigate other companies. Just check out the the companies that CMON stock. It should give you a head start.
I have become more of a scale modeler than a wargamer, so $20 for a model, well, a project really, is not too bad for me. this video makes me want to paint. I am sympathetic toward GW wargamers. the prices are truly unfair

Stand the two casts side by side having given them both an undercoat, you will not see the difference ,except of course that the resin will be full of air bubbles because the casting crew seemingly don't know how to decompress their moulds.
It goes without saying that I dislike their approach to resin.
impofhighnoon 3 months ago 18
@impofhighnoon i agree with the air bubbles and crap like that. but id rather have a few air bubble that i can fill in with green stuff, that a nicely painted metal model that chips all the time...
BeTheBe5t 1 month ago
@impofhighnoon Go into a shop. Look at a metal astorath compared to a resin one. There's a substantial difference. Look at his eyes and mouth, they actually recede into the model because he has a mask on. The Pewter could not cast that kind of attention to detail. Look at the new mangler squigs with a goblin moulded inside the squig's mouth.... That would've never been possible with metal.
AndyBDj87 1 month ago
@AndyBDj87 I can't actually do that though Andy, there isn't going to be a metal astorath in store for me to make a comparison. My original comment stands, the only difference between the two is going to be the surface finish, one being matt and so easier to see and the other being shiney. If there were a difference (other than the obvious air bubbles miss-aligned moulds etc) it would be due to an inferior mould, which would be odd as they'd have used the same master...
impofhighnoon 1 month ago
@impofhighnoon This is true however... THE METAL MODELS ARE HELL TO MAKE!
So i'm half and half because of that.
PivotPredator1 3 weeks ago
@PivotPredator1 not true man... im a metal worker and a resin caster... white metal isnt any harder to produce then resin. white metal is more expensive and has much greater wear on parts but seriously is not any harder to produce... i seriously do both regularly and find white metal less problamatic than resin...
shadowynne 2 weeks ago
I've been building planes, tanks and ship models for 15 yrs and everyone knows in my profession that resin is cheap and brittle material to work with, it's ok for models, since the intention is to paint and display
but for game board miniatures that are handled over and over, GW might as well pull down their pants and take a dump on their fans.

you might have already heard of this but prince august where you cast your own minis and you can make 100s of them
legoshow100 4 months ago
All in all, Games Workshop miniatures are only expensive if you buy them often, whereas if you expand your army slowly then you dont have to cough up so often.
Oliver200101 4 months ago
when they announced the price hike and the resin switch I sold all my models and never looked back
getting less for more is not really an acceptable business practice. There are companies selling 54mm white metal figurines for the price of finecast figures, so they can, somehow, afford to sell a more expensive material and twice as much of it at the same price as GW's resin.
Go fuck yourself GW.
;)
Armitage01101 5 months ago
@Armitage01101 yea GW models cost way too much money $65 for 10 space marines that can get destroyed if droped or crashed under something and now a price rise. also i liked the metal models if they were small simple units like commander or Chaplain that only needed one or two pice's glued. now i buy all my warhammer 40k stuff from ebay so much beter i got $290 werth of tyranids and only pained $95 for it enles these something i really want i will by it from GW or if i need paint/die and crap.

@Vote1Jimmy
I just quit GW altogether. Plenty of other miniature games at more affordable prices, especially at the skirmish level. For large armies there's Mantic games.
For a more affordable hobby overall there are board games aplenty.
Happy gaming

I heard that the resin is highly toxic. I heard that it can make you seriously ill if you breathe in any scrapings in the air. That it's like aspestos. Is this true. Should I invest in a mask for scraping the minitures
Zwitter101 6 months ago
@Zwitter101 I dont know if anyone replied to this before so my apologies if so ,i wouldnt worry about a mask for scraping resin minis ,its only if you sand a large area and creat very fine dust ,i would recommend a mask for that hope this helps !

acidknight3 6 months ago
@acidknight3
yes. they are even easier to glue than plastic models (with super glue at least, thats all i use)
Tartersauce101 6 months ago
personally, I think this finecast stuff is a load of rubbish they should of stuck with the metal models. I was in my local GW shop and decided to pick a model up to see what they where like i chose Njal Stormcaller well lets just say im glad i have my chaos army finished with metal and not finecast. The first thing i noticed was alot of excess more than usual, and upon closer inspection i found half of his face was missing and not moulded. and this continued throughout I say forget finecast
marzy88 7 months ago
It's unlikely to be a raw price increase, it's likely to simply be rising with inflation. This means it will actually be the same price, or there abouts. Don't feel ripped off :)
brickforever101 7 months ago
Ive seen the sortiment, will there be more models used in this new material, like storm-troopers, raptors and so on? :)
forkmaster 7 months ago
Hey, question for everyone here really.

Astartes40000 7 months ago
I really am scared about fincast models. price is one thing, and GW would do a good move to stop overcharging but when it comes down to it, if you really want it you're going to find a way to get it (sorry for you guys in Australia though, I know how bad it is over there and I don't blame you guys if you want to boycott GW)
I've heard that the detail quality is amazing, and that these models are easy for converting, but what worries me is how so many people are complaining about miscasts.

I am waiting for my 5th one to come back from GW right now.
NAH,,,,no problem at all with FInecast. One of the GW phone people told me they were only able to produce one finecast model for every 6 metal model before the switch because of problems

And they aren't the highest quality. At all.

@Rassoul44 That's what I ask as well. I paid $36 for Finecast Eldar Striking Scorpions, why couldn't they have cast them in standard plastic like the Dire Avengers? Pariah1974 8 months ago
@Pariah1974 It seem unlikely, but I don't think GW uses resin of the Forgeworld type as stated. I dropped draigo three feet off the ground and it bounced on tile flooring with no breakage. It isn't very tough, but it;s no longer as brittle :D
joejoejoe532 8 months ago
@Pariah1974 the resin they are using is very flexable, i test dropped several identical characters in metal and finecast and the finecast dont break! it is a good resin mix when they can be bothered to cast it properly

ninchao1 1 month ago
@ninchao1 i cant remember the name of it, but it applies to any company who sells you things, if the product is faulty they have to give you a full refund.(it definately applies in Britain, not sure about other countries but i would think so)
they are now more expensive at the time the comment was written, a full 7 months ago, they both cost the same. (i did actually check the site when i wrote it) every year GW ups its prices, it had nothing to do with finecast. I hope this satisfies you.
ActarratcA 1 month ago
@ActarratcA It's called The Sales of Goods Act; you could in theory get a full refund on something you bought months ago by evoking this Act; shoddy electrical goods that become faulty just after the manufacturer's warranty runs out is a good example.

one of the worst quality line of models GW has ever done, and they are already experts at poor quality models so its quite an achievement for them really, I think for every decent one people have reported there has to be at least a dozen poor ones varying from bad to OMG WTF IS THAT?!
thank god decent companies don't follow GW by example.
sterling101Videos 9 months ago
@sterling101Videos Troll fail.
The facts speak for themselves.
StuckCrab 9 months ago
@StuckCrab all right GW fanboi, i have been in the GW hobby for over 20 years and i can easily say that fine cast has the absolute piss-poorest QC i have EVER seen in ANY miniature line produced by any company EVER. sure they offer replacements but here i am on week number 4 waiting for my fourth re-shipped miniature to arrive that will robably be a complete casting cluster %&^*%^. this level of QC is unacceptable and you know it... also 3 times+ shipping isnt exactly "free"...
shadowynne 2 weeks ago
@shadowynne The fuck? My comment is 8 months old so obviously they wouldn't be giving out miniatures for free anymore. If they are still having issues with FC at this stage then they really have screwed up. I am currently not actively collecting GW miniatures so I don't know how the current quality is. I can say however that GW miniatures are in general very good quality compared to most other miniatures. The price is the main thing putting people off ATM, including me.

@darkhabsburg While I agree that complaining on a youtube video is effectively pointless, that does not mean people should not be upset or should not speak up. Some of us actually care enough about the game and the hobby to want it to survive and be open to new players, but this does not mean we agree with everything GW does. In fact, I would argue we care more than people who quit or shut up, because we are actually trying to make the game, and the hobby, better by telling GW when they screw up
IVANrulesman 6 months ago
I am not convinced that all of the 40%+ price increase for these things is 'standard GW price rise', and I am sure that the increase is partially because they can be marketted as 'new and improved' miniatures, even where the moulds are the same. Anyway, thanks for this video. Its really useful, and I appreciate that it was the point of view of a fan, not necessarily someone trying to sell me stuff.
