Thank you for making this. I am a die-hard fan for both eva (mostly EoE) and NIN, they both stand me amazingly close. Seeing them both together though, I just... Like you, I'm a fan of Evangelion and Nine Inch Nails (though Cowboy Bebop and Tool are my favorite series and band, respectively) and a lot of songs by them just happen to work with Eva so... why not use this one? :)

This is the Evangelion movie, The End of Evangelion. It's much more depressing and disturbing than the series and it's arguably the real ending of Evangelion. I think this is different from the series but that's my opinion. :)

I don't really consider the ending to be sad. Because, nobody actually died, they just became one. And they can return to their human forms if they want. But at the same time, it's not a happy ending. It's just an ending.
