The Japanese version used Japanese voices and had a different storyline: you would fight your way through tournaments at various levels and finally end up at the nationals. The bonus stages were also different: kicking a vase, kicking apples out of another man's hands and off his head and jumping up and kicking a tall post.
In the 2 player version the cpu's moves become predictable. Depending on where you are to him it's low kick, medium kick, hand thrust then, a jump kick, followed by a straight punch, rinse repeat. sometimes he will crouch punch but watch his moves and see how repetitive he is.
thanks for the video, i wish data east would make a collection, even if it's for the gba, i loved heavy barrel, karate champ, gate of doom, throw is bad dudes just for the fun of it
great to see this. i played the bootleg on NES but it was still good. i made believe that the red guy was ken when sf2 had not yet come out for s famicom
it will be nice if some videogame company tern it to 3D!!!! with the same basik mouves on game pad's analog sticks!!!and some ather fancsions on the buton's. i think not onle the old game player's will love it, but and the new genaresion gamers. wat to you think? guy's pleaze e mail me if you like the idea!!
well... I think completely the opposite. I wish companies start developing 2D games like in the old times. Most of the old 2D games are still much more fun that nowadays games.
that's the only bad part, for some reason it only has one game on it. they give you a soundtrack and some other stuff, but they really should have made it a collection. Data East has some awesome games.
This was DECO's largest objection against Capcom in court about Fighter's History (1993 arcade).

to make it easier just backflip twice and start throwing a crowching punch as soon as you hit the ground.

two backflips and then a crowching punch. pretty easy.
