Hi guys, great show once again. I was wandering if you could help me make a difficult decision. I have everything a sim racer could want, playseat, wheel (soon to be fanatec clubsport), buttkicker, etc. But I don't have surround sound. Now because of certain factors I need surround sound from a headset rather than a speaker set. I was looking at the tritton ax pro with some interest. Just wandering if you guys. Have some experience in this area and if these are a solid set to go with. Cheers fo

Well I hope that drift mod is better than the others out there.

I just wonder how they manage to drift and control those, you just LOOK at the throttle and the car spins out...

But, that stock GT-R even in low power config is a great and fun car to kick out sideways, of course you have to be quick with the hands on the wheel if you want to catch that slide before it sends you into a spin but that comes with practice.

I tested the Fanatec racing wheel at the Codemasters F1 2011 stand during the Gamescom. Although I had only a short time to test it I have to say: It was just awesome. The authentic look of a F1 racing wheel and the strong and precicse feel to it is unbeatable.

It has a huge con though: I think my wheel is crap now :(

$450 to €450 is more than just VAT on top, Fanatec's pricing policy is the only reason I haven't bought one of their wheels already.

You are right. The VAT is making the main difference but keep in mind that logistics, support, sales and localisation costs are also increasing the cost in Europe.

The reason the prices seem off on Fanatec is because the euro version includes VAT and the US version does not include tax. In California that means an extra 9%.

The GT wheel is everywhere on the web to bee seen. Does not look as impressive as the F1 one. Although i would still go for the gt rim.

@Trusteft Sounds like the onboard sound of the camera, a lot of echo and background noise. Maybe their proper sound wasn't working, can happen.

@GrannySmith1313 Actually a handful of mods are out already for the T500RS like a sparco wheel replacement or an F1 wheel which you can put on the T500RS

Judging from what I felt while testdriving it on Gamescom in germany the Fanatec wheel is far superior to the T500, there is no way you can get the same experience with just modding your T500RS-rim.
