this probably was the equivalent of cocaine when I was little, I'd rent it from the grocery store(I shit you not our grocery store used to rent games and videos) I'd rent it and do nothing all weekend but play and play and play it was great
I think that was the case with a lot of grocery stores back in the day. The two we have here in Stevens Point (Copps and County Market) both used to rent out games and movies.
yea it was quite convienent(or however the hell you spell it) but it was Delchamps which got bought out by Jitney...but I found it at a flea market in 2004 and won it in a hand of cards I was gonna cheat but I wound up getting a straight flush instead
get an emulator and download the rom. its an absolutely amazing game. that's my childhood right there. as well as The Lost Vikings, Legend of Zelda: LTTP, Super Mario, Super Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island, and all the donkey kong's. Best system ever.
I still think this is one of the best racing games out there. It gives such a rush and you need crazy skills. AND theres upgrades AND the music is doooope!!
Oh thank u, thank u, thank u so much 4 posting this. I spent countless hrs playing this with my bro in my childhood. Such fond memories. This was a gr8 game with a kick-ass soundtrack. The concept of racing on different planets & the alien technologies in cars was cool. Y dont they make a similar game on the modern consoles nowadays. They really should.
Yikes - I haven't heard this since I wrote it. I never cease to be amazed how much old stuff keeps appearing. I don't even have a copy of any of this.
I had about 10 games to do in a very short space of time - and the sound programming on the SNES was worse than you could ever imagine. Excuses out of the way - there are a couple of decent tracks here, but it's mostly horrid. I think I'd just bought a new China Crisis album and there's a track about 5 mins in that has hints of it.
what china crisis album (or the track) are you saying about the hints? and... the only song that i dont like of this game is the credits song, is so... not 3000!!! xD
It's the track about 5 minutes into this video. I was studying the way the China Crisis bass player played as an accompaniment in an almost unnoticeable way. There wasn't enough polyphony but that track has hints of what I was listening to. It's like a speeded up version of the influence of What Price Paradise I think. You might not even hear it, but it was my influence - for what it's worth.
I don't remember which one is the credits song. I'm guessin git's the one about 7:20 here. It's jus a relaxed piece - nothing to do with racing. it actually reminds me of something like a 1970s sitcom - Man Abou tthe House or Robin's Nest. I actually like it - but it's not racing.
Yeah, I took a suggestion from my channel comments and decided to go back and start updating the descriptions. If you're gonna do something, might as well do it right... right?
And sure, I love the Sam & Max games. I wanted a gaming-related avatar, but not something overly popular or incredibly obscure, so settling on the hyper rabbity-thing seemed like an obvious choice for me.
Oh, and do yourself a favor and check out the first S&M title. Funniest game ever.
Oh, and I get that you don't want something overly popular. I really do. It just feels so... Uh, can't put it in words. But you know what I mean. I suppose.

I kinda hate how low the horizon in this game is. Compared to Top Gear it's very hard to see.

This one had a unique sound. Never felt like racing music to me.
