Honestly I agree that the little of the training camp they show is not good, he was going to fight a 6'4" guy and he was sparring with a guy smaller that him. He looked slow in the fight and it seemed like he didn't have a fight plan, he definetly needed one he was fighting a guy who has the longest reach in the promotion, so Jones is walking in the cage with that advantage, he needed to be prepare to counter that. I'm a big Shogun fan and I'll always be. I hope he learned from his mistakes...

I agree with so many of these comments!!! shogun did not look right at all, first off he should have been more responsible and never taken this fight so soon, jones is no joke and his conditioning is amazing, shogun needs to be open minded and change camps, he needs a better Strength & conditioning program like when he fought chuck liddell, No excuses cause jones did an amazing job, but shogun needs to take fights more serious, he still is one of the greatest out there.

And also two bad mistakes IMHO, he had Jones back twice and instead of supplexing and very possibly finishing the fight with it he went for a knee bar :S out of all options he went for a KNEE BAR!? :S I mean who am I to talk, I respect his experience and decisions but I honestly believe supplex would end the fight.

I bet he could win in a rematch very convincingly.

But Shogun looked awful even in the first round, he looked gassed mid way through the first and was just throwing haymakers. He didn't show the versatile striking skills that he displayed facing Machida. I think that the lay off and knee surgery took away from his performance, but props to shogun.
