@KatiushaVN4 deffinetly the handing is perfect, speed is great, never had any problems so far with it. i would deffinetly recommend the package that i got the 7 speaker sound package sunroof package gts trim and the sporttronic model. i bought the sporttronic because it has a 6speed gearbox instead of the standard 5.

FOR THOSE WHO THINK ITS ALL ABOUT HORSEPOWER, your wrong. It's all about weight to power ratio. If you can find a weight reduction kit, or add lighter parts; ie, carbon fibre hood. You could get more power out of the vehicle, but for a start, I would tune the car with a basic custom exhaust and, or intake.

I think for a student this is a good car, especially the GTS. Its not as expensive as an evo, and insurance is lower, it looks aggressive compared to a corrolla, sentra, focus, and everyone has a civic driving around (which i wouldnt mind getting but it just reminds me of driving school :P) it has the best warranty in the business, a lot of standard saftey features,

Do your research, especially with Asian Imports! You will find that quality, reliability & good customer service is just a myth with most Asian car companies.

Edmunds has a good consumer review. You get the facts when you read it from the owners point of view. Unlike these car magazines drivers, the consumer paid $ for the car.

The biggest problem with the Lancers are the lack of power and after a few months the paint starts to chip and fall off. This is not covered on the warranty either...

hey buddy, the evo's 2.0L engine restricts the possibility of upgrading and making it better, while the 2.4L engine of the lancer GTS gives it more torque, which after putting in an extra turbo, better intake and overall upgrading it, will rape its relative the evo.

depending on how far your willing to take it can change the price, but it can cost anywhere from 3000-10000, depending on brands and quality. if you were to put a second turbo in it, u would probably have to change the engine piping so it wouldn't crack. there's a lot to explain, but comparing both cars and knowing somebody who knows about installing a second turbo and a transmission that can handle both would help you decide if it's worth it 2 put that much money into it. hope it works out.

oh I know. It was handed down to me by my father. Runs great because my family swapped the engine a couple years ago. I don't know much about the engine I just drive it. Besides the interior falling apart and a couple of rust areas it's a beast. Running high 13 on the track during the summer. But honestly, i probaly have more fun with my xrs matrix, especially on the curvey roads, plus it's better on gas!

Here's a big dilemma. Lancer GTS or a Sentra SE-R Spec V? They cost about the same similarly equipped. Lancer looks better and has a much more tasteful interior, but the Spec V's got over 200 horses, does 0-60 a second quicker and has a 6-speed tranny. I really love the gts, but I don't think I can say no to the value-for-performance of the Spec V.

It will be offerd as a 2009 model, and be coming out in October. The price will be about 25 which is kinda high but it will have AWD,A Dual clutch gearbox and more then 220Bhp. O to 60 in under 6.5 seconds as well. Its a WRX fighter for under 30 grand, the gas milage wont be that great though

I went to the Riverside, CA Mitsubishi dealership last night. A 2009 Mitsubshi Ralliant was $26k. A 2008 Evo MR was about $29k. If you have the extra money go for the evo. It looks much more aggressive and you don't have to explain what your car is. Just say that you have an evo and everyone will be awed. With the ralliant you would have to explain how it is different from a gts and regular lancer

This is how you know CVT shifting is the future. The manual he said does 0-60 in about 9 seconds, the CVT in a 3-shift burst does it just over 7 seconds. I know people all love stickshift but in about 2 to 3 years that won't even be a standard option.
