OOOO YOU ARE A MORON!!! IF YOU HAVE SKILLS YOU CAN TAKE THOSE SKILLS TO A COMPETITOR AND OR CREATE YOUR OWN ENTERPRISE......WE ARE A REPUBLIC .....YOU IGNORE HISTORY.....WHY DO PEOPLE FLEE IN MASSES THOSE COMMUNIST COUNTRIES!!! USSR EVER HEARD OF IT??? GET THE HELL OUT OF MY COUNTRY....GO LIVE IN COMMUNIST CHINA AND SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT....MAKE SURE TO READ YOUR BIBLE IN A PUBLIC SETTING OUT LOUD!! GENIUS!!!
Every government system was and is a failure, neither communism or capitalism... none of them will helps the poors and majorities, but eventually rob and enrich the so called elites, politicians and the riches by introduce all kinds of laws, rules and regulations for us to follow, as an ordinary citizen like us will leave no choice, either obey it or be punished ...
Learn to make the difference between social democracy and communism.
And China have computers, they are not poorest than a capitalist country like India.
Sierra Leone is also capitalist and the world poorest country.
Social democracy is present in all european countries: these countries are rich and democratics. Social democracy = Capitalism with welfare state. Communism = dictature, everybody is poor.
Just look how is the world outside your country ignorant Americans
I understand why the Americans have this complex of superiority. They feel superior because they compare their country with Cuba and North Korea...
Just compare your country with social democrat countries like Scandinavian countries, Netherlands, France, Germany, etc...
The problem of the Americans is ignorance due to their media and video like that. They have a problem of vocabulary and are totally unable to make the difference between marxism/communism and social democracy...
@Freez57fr social democracy is a fancy word for taking my money and giving it to others, who did not earn it nor deserve it. Our citizens are ingorant, but that has only appeared in this past 20 years. Say, no wonderstupid Americans elected 'Social democrat' Obama. See where our country is? See how Scandinavian countries are STILL doing worse than us economically, after Obama? The second America fell was when 'social democracy' was implemented, along with government bailouts.
@subscribefori And social "democracy" is just a preform of communism in desperate times. The choice you get in this democracy is either going to jail for not paying taxes, or work for someone who is to lazy to.
Although I'm far from being a millionaire, I still prefer capitalism. Socialism forces one to work w/ others, & to meet a specific quota. Capitalism is (primarily) about allowing one to bring ideas to fruition & to acquire ambition to live out their dreams. W/o capitalism, life would certainly be monotone (IMO).
Funny how someone that claims to want people to break out of religion has adopted Socialism as their religion. Just like any religion, no amount of facts will deter a true believer. Jesus was not the Messiah, Mohhamed was a pedophile, and Socialism doesn't work.
Anyone who could believe in or merely like this idea is an utter fool with a fallow mind that can be easily manipulated by rapacious power-hungry tyrants. I guess I could understand had it never been tried before, but to still hold these beliefs after every country that has tried this has failed is shocking and shows that they are only naive, idealistic know-nothings who will follow a belief because of superficial feelings induced through meaningless words.
@ThePhalseProfit France. Free health care, college, day care etc.. and the people are able to live in well to due homes making less money. Watch the movie sicko.
@10trojan10 I did prove a point. That you don't know what freedom means. You may think the cost of living indicator shows who is living better. It does not. Being dependent on a government is no way to live. Do you really want the govt to decide when you can go to the hospital, what you can be treated for? What kind of possessions you can own? Where you can live? What kind of job you can have? Freedom is about opportunity.
@10trojan10 No, I don't..Why don't you move there and then you can tell us all about it. Of course over there you probably could not find a job that pays enough for you to have a computer, internet access, cable TV, a decent car, etc. But then again you probably can't afford it here either. Some Capitalist that makes a profit and pays his taxes probably pays for all that for you via welfare. And don't tell me you have a job..if you do you should be giving that money to someone poor.
@ThePhalseProfit Norway has a higher per capita GDP than the US, and the other countries I listed aren't far behind the US in per capita GDP. This means that Norwegians have more money on average than Americans. This also means that all those countries I listed do have computers, internet access, cable tv, good cars, etc. You're probably either the dumbest or most naive person I've come across on youtube if you don't believe Europeans have access to cable tv or internet.
@10trojan10 Good luck in debating my fellow Americans. The capitalist propaganda in the U.S. is incredibly pervasive. It's at the point where democracy is called "mob rule" and selling your labor to an international corporation is considered being "independent" and "free".
@10trojan10 Like I said, it's become a religion to you and others. You cannot argue religion. I already pointed out that GDP, ie. money, is not what quality of life is about and then you go and quote GDP figures. You don't understand or want to understand. Yes, they have internet and cable in Europe. Where did that technology come from? From them or from some Capitalist country? They have TV, phones, internet, cars, computers etc because some Capitalist invented them and/or marketed them.
@ThePhalseProfit GDP is a good indicator, so is life expectancy (something those countries are pretty high in as well). Also, many of the happiest countries in the world have some form socialism and/or mixed economy. These countries government's aren't about telling their citizens what they can and can't do, but they have an economic system in place that tries to keep the gap between the rich and the poor reasonable. And the modern automobile was invented by a German.
@ThePhalseProfit And believing in a mixed economy (elements of socialism and capitalism) is no more a religion than believing in capitalism alone. Most, if not all, of the countries I listed also have a better score in the global gender gap. So some of them are richer, healthier, happier, and have more equality. If these things don't matter into quality of life, then I don't know what does.
@SovietGamers LOL how have the free markets failed? Please elaborate. And don't give me that corporatist garbage and tell me that "capitalism" has failed. Corporatism and militarism have nothing to do with TRUE capitalism. Sure America has deviated from the intended model and we have suffered because of it. America has failed in some regards, capitalism has not.
@SovietGamers You make no sense. Countries can only embody certain ideals, they cannot BECOME those ideals...Even if America dies out(which we wont), capitalism as an IDEA still lives, because you cannot destroy an idea.
@juliansa74 Cronyism is crap. Globalization is(for the most part)...crap. Capitalism itself isn't perfect but there exists no better alternative. Humans are imperfect, we are always going to have economic issues. You can't change human nature with socialism so therefore it exists only as a barrier to helping people improve their own lives.
@1337wafflezz But of course it exists!!..it just doesn't play in favor of the large corporations...thats why they don't like it...just look at countries like Sweden, Norway, maybe Germany....yes Europe is in crisis, but not as fu$#ed as US
"religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell - spirituality is for those who have already been there."
Love is the answer but it is a choice - we get to choose. Keep believing "they" can make the world better or awaken to God's loving guidance bringing peace forever.
children hope and yearn for love in their lives - they know. Look at the past. Jesus knew the toxicity of money. Men can only give you ashes - however great the "idea".
the problem with any "good" system is money. Money finds ways to corrupt and certain diabolical individuals will find a way to destroy what is "good".
Jesus Christ came to Earth in order to show us what the reality of the world is. There is only one salvation but it is very much a choice.
Believe that voting for the "right guy" will make a better world like or begin anew today and in this moment ask Jesus to help and guide you. That's all it takes.
Wow! That wasn't biased at all! That was a truly awe-inspiring and well documented explanation of socialism and capitalism! The accuracy in the portrayals was astounding! I love how he completely and thoroughly rebuts the "problems with Socialism"!
More people died from cruel socialist regimes than the amount of people that died of starvation under capitalism.
Under capitalism, a few thousand people will have a lot of money. Under socialism, ONE person ( The leader ) and a few of their closest friends and family will have all the money. It's happened many times before, it WILL happen again if it's allowed to.
Under capitalism, you can be rich by working hard in school, getting an Med or Law degree, it's not impossible. Socialism? NO HOPE
You point out the failure of the USSR, but use their anthem at the tail end of your video? Pretty funny! So, if I am a productive member of society, but am no better off than a welfare recipient, what is my motivation to keep producing, or keep employing? Just curious.
The national anthem of the USSR lyrics are VERY socialist, they talk about the welfare of the prolitarian and so on, so its not like the American where they only talk about how good America is, i guess thats why he played it in the end.
Capitalism is only a few hundred years old, how do you think people got motivated before capitalism? in a socialist country the only reason to choose a career is because you love what you do, thats your motivation.
Western bourgeois people never get it - communism was never meant for you lol. It was meant to improve the lot of the proletariat. Working class people are better off under socialism - and that's what it was designed to do.
A Hegelian might argue that the bourgeois are just as incapacitated by Capitalism as the proletariat. The bourgeois depend on the proletariat in a similar way that one relies on resources. This dependency dehumanizes both parties, and produces an ever-conflicting relationship between the classes. Unfortunately this concept is something that the bourgeois would never understand or agree to.
Capitalism will not be beaten. It has far to many benefits compared to the socialist system. I wouldn't be surprised if America became the only socialist nation on the planet.
Socialism is impossible, because economic calculation without prices that actually reflect demand in society is impossible. Without efficient production you can't sustain a high standard of living for society. Read some Hayek, he got a Nobel Price for proving this point.
Furthermore socialism is downright immoral, because it is an economic system governed by force (much like what we have now in the western world), rather than voluntary exchange.
@rustyrusky No capitalism is totally immoral as it treats workers like slaves! Socialism means the democratic control of the means of production distribution and exchange by the workers with a plan of production for need not profit! Capitalism does not work given that over half the worlds population live in extreme poverty and countless millions starve to death every year!
@ParagramTree If the worker feels like he's treated like a slave he's free to leave, which defies the definition of slavery.
Capitalism raised a billion people out of poverty in the west. Did it ever occur to you that maybe it's because the rest of the world doesn't have capitalism that makes them poor? Western governments destroy agriculture in the third world since they heavily subsidize their own farmers who undercut the competition in poor countries, driving their farmers into poverty.
@rustyrusky youre logic is terrible. if people are living in conditions where they are being compared to slaves, then social mobility and the ability to change career paths is also limited. The reason why the rest of the world is poor is not because they lack capitalism but rather because the resources are carried into other countries. Money doesnt just disappear out of thin air. It just gets moved. In the case of South America, the resources of those societies are being transferred to the USA
Slavery didn't limit your career path, it was your own choice to go down that road. Why should someone else take responsibility for your choices? If you never payed attention in school and played games all day, then guess what, it's pretty fucking hard to become a physician that way.
You're just making up some pathetic excuses. You could still be your own boss, work hard and earn what your fellow man is willing to give you for your services.
@rustyrusky all this would be very true if we lived in a simplistic society and world where we control everything that happens to us. Its sad but most things in life are a lottery. The biggest lottery both of us have won (assuming since we are using the internet actively) is where we were born. im not making up excuses. Im just stating that there are millions of variables that go into how you life and where you life. dont over simply life because then everything you say is a fallacy.
@estebansaidanything For fucks sake, I was born in the former soviet union. My family lived off $200 a month. Yeah what a fucking lucky lottery ticket that was. Then we pretty much make it in the western world and now some fucking moron (ParagramTree) tells me to watch fat hypocrite Moore giving a lecture about how much superior socialism is.
You know what makes these people poor? Governments who decide it's proper to help some people at the expense of others. That's socialism for ya.
Your english is terrible. As is your assumption of the world. Capitalism has lifted hundreds of millions of out poverty and did so in the small frame of a decade from the 1990's. Right now China, India and Brazil are more pro capitalist then the USA is. They're making more strides in free market economics now than ever and their production will only increase while America's is slowly being destroyed. You're a michal moore drone
@rustyrusky Only if an alternative job is there and close to where the worker lives! Capitalism was built on the slave trade you moron! And you fucking American capitalist bastards have murdered hundreds of thousands of people in Iraq and Afghanistan! I am part of the global occupy movement and we are going to smash capitalism just you wait and see! America is an evil fascist country just look at how you treat occupy Wall Street protesters while letting bankers go unpunished!
@ParagramTree Capitalism was built on slave trade? Are you mental? Slaves are utterly unproductive. By that logic Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapur must have built their wealth in the last 60 years on slavery?
It's when slavery was abolished that we started to build machinery to harvest more food and make us more productive. It is when man became free and could keep what he earned that made all that progress possible. You're way off mark.
@rustyrusky Read up about the European and American slave trade you idiot! it lasted for four hundred years! That is how western capitalist countries got rich! You also need to watch Micheal Moores excellent documentary called "capitalism" Micheal Moore is one of the few Americans who speaks the truth!
Spoken like a true drone. This says it all about most of the movement and the willingness to destroy private property which many have worked so hard for. None of you schmucks and moore included have never read any of the bills the democrats put forward. None of you have ever been to an actual socialist country either and seen what poverty means. Propaganda gets pushed because of little kids like you who can't think for them selves nor do their own research.
@ParagramTree does he differentiate between free-market capitalism and corporatism? and if so, does he also explain that they are not the same thing, and that what we are experiencing in the united states is corporatist government?
Built on the slave trade? What ignorance this comment is. No wonder America is finished. Your knowledge of history is basically a visual picture of dog shit. Capitalism was a result of feudalism and has also been around in theory since the middle ages. Slavery was a trade that most nations practiced including the nations of origin where many slaves were bought or stolen from. Don't distort you weak drone; you're only adding to our problems
@rustyrusky bullshit - if you own all the means production and I own nothing - how is that voluntary exchange - that's not freedom - that's extortion.
This video in terrible! As a veteran whom was wounded protecting our American Flag, lost many friends this is disgraceful and what's worse some people believe it.
If you're getting paid the same amount to make a product no matter what, will you push to make it better, or will you slack off because you know there are no consequences? Competition and incentive, it's what drives people towards success while regulating the things they do for that success. That's why this country has grown so powerful, not because the government controls it.
@epicpwner0 That's a simplistic argument - your country has grown so powerful because of its gargantuan military expenditure - most of its successes such as silicon valley are a by-product of this massive state investment in research and development. Such people as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs then apply these applications to the free market. America also runs a vast empire - from which it's corporations procure cheap raw materials and labor.
@32peartree I won't argue with you on that. Military spending has greatly helped us in many ways. It advanced world technology on several occasions, got us out of the Great Depression, and made the US a superpower.
What I meant before is that firms that compete in a market tend to be more efficient than the government running everything. They respond quickly to what's needed and try do do it as efficiently as possible. Too big of a government, as you can see, isn't always the best.
@epicpwner0 A post by a typical dumb American! America has launched two wars of terror on Iraq and Afghanistan which have resulted in millions of deaths of innocent people! Yet you think that militarism is good! You are mad!
@ParagramTree I never said war was good. I said good things came out of it. My father was an mp in the military, my grandfather almost died on Omaha beach, and one of my close friends was an eod back in Iraq. I would not say that the shit they went through was good. And why would I support the wars on Iraq and Afghanistan? Those have gotten us absolutely nowhere but neck deep in shit, and now I'm gonna have to pay my 40 grand of national defect for what our idiot leaders have done.
On paper, socialism is ( by far ) the best form of government.
But then you have the human element. Because of that Human element, capitalism is the one of the best forms of government for people. Face it, you want the most out of your life as possible, right? The difference is that some people are willing to work for it, and others will expect it to be handed to them. In Socialism, there is no incentive to succeed, so their innovation and production capacity is hindered immensely.
@saucyman666 The Soviet Union had some great scientists, engineers and artists - so your argument doesn't hold water. Besides, you can't look at the defeat of communism in splendid isolation from the realities of the Cold War. Communism didn't fail so much as it was defeated. Instead of constructing brilliant tanks, rifles, helicopters and jet fighters it could have built brilliant houses, cars, hospitals, washing machines etc - America knew this that's why they always pressed the arms race.
Comrades - don't waste your time arguing with the enemies of the working class - all their reactionary arguments are designed to obfuscate - to hide the fact that bourgeois capitalism sucks the life blood from the international proletariat. As they could no longer exploit the western worker they have exported their evil system to the third world. However. the workers in the developing world are fighting back as the global system of usury and greed is about to collapse. Viva the Revolution.
Every western nation runs on a fusion of socialism and capitalism. If you slide too far into either one, you end up with an unjust society.
Socialism is not a bad thing. It is widely misinterpreted, but generally it can be put down to public spending. Take the postwar British Attlee government, for instance. this installed the British National Health Service and Welfare State, considered a triumph and blessing even today.
@BasilFawlty4444 Good point. But I was more talking about hard socialism then the softer western versions of socialism. Perhaps I should have said, as societies become more and more socialist, they seem to also become less and less free.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work, because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation!
what ppl dont understand is that companies compete against eachother. so each will try to increase the benefits of their workers to outperform the other. it is bcuz of this that america has only 7% of the worlds population, yet drives 70% of the worlds cars. they have the highest standard of living and the best healthcare system in the world. the middle class american can afford a 3000 ft^2 house, 2 large automobiles, and multiple flatscreen TVs, plus a pool in the backyard. millions move there.
Hey socialists look at Europe half was capitalist half was socilaist AND FUCKIGN CAPITALIST IS RICHEST FUCK SOCIALISM U IDIOTS IT IS SHIT SOCIALISM IS FOR IDIOTS
@Rhagar14 Hey Fuck you asshole. Your the kind of person who needs to fucking die. Money isnt what matters you cocksucker. Its the well-being of others. Who gives a fuck how rick they were. they had a high rate of poverty.BITCH.
@Rhagar14 Hey Fuck you asshole. Your the kind of person who needs to fucking die. Money isnt what matters you cocksucker. Its the well-being of others. Who gives a fuck how rick they were. they had a high rate of poverty 'cause only a handful of people were benefiting. BITCH.
Arondeus, you're very wrong: Socialism is a world-wide FREE ACCESS society in which the there there would be no money, wages, or profits, in which the means of production would be held in common, and in which state would 'wither away'. No regime purporting to be socialist ever operated om this basis. Lemim himself admitted that Russia had become a STATE CAPITALIST society. I'd forget Lenin. - Read Marx
Majority of people make fucking stupid decisions and are idiots. All you need is one ruler. Why should the common people have a say in how their country is run? Their job is to be good citizens and to work and to sustain the government and state and in turn, the state helps the people and makes life for them as healthy and satisfying as possible, not to voice their opinions on politics, or how it should be run, that should be decided by a leader, or a group of people.
This is why democracy is fucking retarded and flawed. So you'd much rather elect any average, uneducated, poor factory worker to head of state rather then a person who went to university, studied economics and commerce, has an education, because if you're going to lead a country, you need an education. And you wonder why you don't see your average person get elected....
@sanik00 In democracy we choose who we elect depending on values and beliefs, no majority is going to choose an uneducated factory worker, I guarantee you there have not been ANY candidates for American President that have earned a substantial number of votes that did not go to a University or college. Would a fucking factory worker know how to fucking debate? Your an asshole.
"in socialism there will be no billionaire CEOs or stockholders racking in the cash" - no, but there will be the small ruling elite doing just that, leaving people with no option to improve their lives or even complain. Nothing "went wrong" with USSR, Cuba, et al - they're prime examples of what happens when you try to implement socialism in the real world. European "socialism" isn't socialism, it's a mongrel system, and the reason its now on fire is because of their failed socialist policies.
Americans! I'm from Russia. USSR is the most amazing country in the world, and Stalin was a great leader! Socialism is good and It's the future of the world. Don't listen to american propaganda, it's lying. Why do you criticize USSR? Do you envy? CAPITALISM IS SHIT!
well done comrade, to many "socialists" still, even to this day, defend the horrors and terrible dictatorships practiced under the banner of Socialism.
@MrLovethelife I'm with you comrade! You can't make a just and equal society without breaking some eggs! (and by breaking eggs I mean killing millions and enslaving millions more. And by just and equal I mean authoritarian and oppressive). These wage slaves are just to stupid to know their lives would be much better if instead of receiving wages they can spend in anyway they feel fit they were to have a comity decide what they need and provide it to them for their work.
Socialism can only be fair on the local level. When centralized Socialism drowns out the will and voice of the individual in favor of the collective. In capitalism every individual has the right to work hard in order to accomplish their goals. The problem today in the US is that we have a Corporatist system in which the government and the corporations collude for mutual benefit. The corporate interests financially support politicians in exchange for regulations to drown out competition.
people are fucking STUPID. Do you really think any capitalist would pump 900 billion dollars into banking system ? NO!! REAL CAPITALIST would let banks bankrupt. SOCIALISTS on the other hand have no problem with wasting tax payers money!!!
Social security and Medicare are in America, why? because pure capitalism never works and neither does pure communism. Communism is a good idea but people are too selfish to execute it properly and people will always abuse it.
@philyB08 damn right pure communism won't work because the government in your "communism" society would force me to charge less for my work as a doctor.
Capitalism can work because if im a doctor, I can charge as much as the market will bare. If I charge too much, people will simply find another doctor for a cheaper price. In communism, I can't compete.
@sniped101 or the other doctors can see that your charging more, and then they charge more. Capitalism is full of corrupt people stabbing each other in the back to make a buck. Even you must admit that for a certain price you would destroy a business causing many to become poor so you could have more money and power.
@sniped101 You actually dont have a clue my dear lad. My ''communism society''? I think you are mixing up ideologies. You actually dont even understand both systems. I am not even going to humour you, because i could not bear to waste my time educating someone too lazy to study.
@philyB08 so dont waste other people time writing posts about that you cant be arsed to explain cause its time waste for you. Ill give you an example. In socialism there is minimum wage of 1000 $ in capitalism same work is worth 800 $ but...in socialism 40 % of your income is reduced by taxes while in capitalism is approx 10 % (just to support army and police) Who earns more in this scenario ? further more fo rprice of 3 workers you can get extra fourth capitalism = jobs = wealth.
@philyB08 and one more thing. Low taxes means people have more money to spend and if they spend more, they will supply government budget via VAT. Its been proven before that low taxes actually give more money to the budget than high taxes. Simple calculation not some advanced economics. In capitalism its up to YOU to get health insurance, pension etc....nobody forces you to pay for someone elses healthcare or his pension. FAIR
@downwithcanada84 The Soviets where communists you moron and when you say Germans you mean Nazis the majority of Germans did not know about the concentration camps and if you get past that some of the Nazi agenda had some quite valid points.
The mega-bankers are trying to create a world money and trade monopoly...then a world Gov . The IMF has already said it wants to be the new world reserve bank and introduce a new world currency . Emmissions trading schemes are part of that, placing folks hopelessly into confused debt while the banks and traders ( incl Al Gore ) make a fortune from lending to buy 'carbon', and their commissions on selling Carbon Credits.....and the Carbon Unit actually would become a de-facto World Currency
Getting rid of the US Federal Reserve would be a good start. Positive change to capitalism, it's the culprit to all major issues globally!
The current capitalism is inconsistent, unscientific and empirically unsupported. Wall-street protest are spreading all over the world because of this borken form of voodoo capitalism!
In the true form of capitalism, nature and praxeology would major factors!
@john1962712 American corporations have been producing anti-socialism since television was invented. They knew they could not make money from properly working socialism. So now Americans are brainwashed i'm afraid to say.
socialism isnt communism though. As far as I understand, communism includes the people owning the work places. For example, the people working at the factory, owns it and decides what should be produced. Its an old fashion idea that wont even work.
Some things are best run by states. Other things are best run by companies. The strongest idea in Socialism is redistribution of wealth. Without it the masses wouldn't have the money to buy what the capitalists produce and capitalism would be doomed. So we have to take from the rich and give to the poor so the poor can pay the rich for goods and services, who can go on being rich. It's actually very very simple.
yea I wonder why were voting these "rich" and "greedy" PROFESSIONALS, into office. Oh yea THEY'RE HIGHLY EDUCATED PROFESSIONALS. The US should not be ruled by a uneducated and unprofessional worker, but by a guy who actually knows what he's doing.
socialism and communism is slavery...........Capitalism is freedom......you sound like you want a free handout !!!! go ask the Cubans that live in Miami, that love America, what they think about communism........Just another post by a liberal crybaby !!!!! ask people that immigrated to this country...to have a better life, that had a opportunity to start their owns business and become successful if they want to go back to the way they were before !!!! capitalism is the way to go !!!
@75kamaro Socialism is not slavery. It is in this world because countries abuse it and our governments abuse Capitalism which is where Communism comes into play. If you have a well run Socialist government it would be fair. Basically Capitalism is unfair and Socialism is corrupt so in the end either way your fucked but if people would just run them properly it would be ok.
@75kamaro you can't call cuba a communist state. the world has never communist state. cuba is socialist. furthermore capitalism is not freedom. capitalism is oppression for the majority and indulgence for the rich
"Socialism: The name given to schemes for regenerating society by a more equal distribution of property, esp. by substituting the principle of association for that of competition."
The American Dictionary of the English Language, 1899.
When we forget the past we tend to painfully relearn what we already had known.
Why is it the responsibility of those who have an abundance of capital in the form of cash to please those who have an abundance of capital in the form of labor, outside of the marktplace where that capital is traded? To argue that one is obligated to the other may oneday result in a system that demands the reverse, and those trading in the capital of labor will be forced to contribute their efforts for nothing.
Right at 1:52 the argument for socialism dies. You agree to work (voluntarily trade labor which is a form of capital) and the company agrees to pay you (voluntarily trade cash which is just another form of capital.) But then the socialist argument ignores the fair trade and jumps into whether or not you're "happy" while completely ignoring the happiness of the other person on the other end of the voluntary transaction. Pure nonsense!
This video makes a caricaturization of everything, like capitalism is about paying the less to the worker or that choosing a leader between the poor is a solution to a rich and educated leadership that goes wrong or something, it teaches nothing about socialism and capitalism, whoever is speaking should suicide.
Fuck every single one of you socialist bitches. I cant believe how fuckin stupid you people are. You have no concept of reality you spoiled, lazy, faggot ass hippies. Fuck off and die!!!!
People today moan about working 8 hours a day for a few days a week... 200 years ago people worked 16 hours a day every day. Stop moaning, capitalism is obviously doing something right...
What are the problems with socialism? Look at the 19th century...
If workers demand massive wage increases and refuse to work, manufacturers start looking for cheaper ways to function without their workers.
Machines replace human labour, and people go with no wages at all.
Or alternately, the company puts prices up, so you're able to be paid more, but you need more money to live due to rising prices, and the cycle continues.
this guy is so wrong, ask any cuban how free are they today, ask how many cubans are free to create their own ideas, free to create their own company, and more why if an individual have the freedom tp persuade their own gold have to be the same as any other
400 Americans hold more money and assets than 125 Million Americans. Nope, Capitalism isn't bad. The masses are morons, and they do not realize the failures of Capitalism. The masses believe that Dictatorship is tied to Socialism.
I'm pretty sure 400 of the poorest Americans have more than 125 Million Africans..... Since you believe in socialism, would you be OK with giving away 99% of your income?
While socialism may not be dictatorship, it necessarily requires a totalitarian gov't. Socialism cannot be implemented without eliminating underground market forces which would otherwise undermine the system.
@PandaWithAShotgun Them 400 do not hold their money. They spend, donate, invest and pay taxes. What are the failures of capitalism in your eyes? Dictatorship is not tied to socialism but the other way around. In a socialist system the people do not get the wealth, the government dose. In a free market, the people get the wealth. Here is a little story. Two people get a job at a young age at the same place, pay and work. one is not so bright the other is. The bright one becomes foreman, manager,
@PandaWithAShotgun then boss. he finally becomes head of the company and profits and expansion are moving forward. He is making good money for all his responsibilities. The other guy has moved up but just does not have what it takes to go any further up. Now the bright one has a chance to work for another company for more money and they really want him. So the two companies try and out do each other in wages. He earned his place. What is wrong with this???
@PandaWithAShotgun That's always been your kind's argument "X amount of people control most of the assets". Corporations and businesses need to have more property in order to function and meet the demands placed on it by the people. That statement is flawed. I have no problem with people owning more stuff than me because I AM NOT GREEDY. Let the businesses own more and earn more than me; If they are successful they earned every bit of whatever profit they received.
@BlueFalcon86 I'm fine when people have more money than me also, the difference is that eventually, corporations are going to control so much money, everyone will be living in crap conditions while a few people live in extreme luxury. What does this sound like? There needs to be economic class, but there needs to be enough money for EVERYONE to afford their needs. Human nature is greedy. Keep telling yourself that you aren't greedy, but when money comes your way, you will take it.
@PandaWithAShotgun You know that even with socialism people won't live in equality and they'll always be lacking something right? Socialism will always have their classes, one with more power (govt) and one with less (citizens). And of course I'll take the money, and so will you. Human nature is greedy, and that is why socialism won't work, because governments are people too.
A pure democracy is undesirable, in my opinion. America is a REPUBLIC, meaning we elect representatives to govern in our place. Now, I don't think being rich should be a prerequisite to be in political office - though, unfortunately, that's usually been the case. In theory, ANYONE should be able to run, though it's simply not feasible for most. However, I do think education should be a prerequisite.
You are the brainwasher, you communist bastard. Anyone with common sense knows that 3000 companies that cooperate in power are gonna raise more noise than ONE BIG GOVERNMENT making all the rules. Read below.
3. The masses are on average not informed enough about ANYTHING to run a country. They bitch and whine about the Middle Class but they could not do any better. You do NOT want a bunch of poor, uneducated, morons running the country. BTW, America is and has ALWAYS been a REPUBLIC, NOT A PURE DEMOCRACY. Stop spouting the bullshit you learned and your liberal college and start using your common sense. Your OWN BRAIN. All the democrats are pseudo intellectuals with NO COMMON SENSE.
Ok, I have three main points to bring up in argument with this rhetoric (a.k.a. in laymans terms as bullshit).
1. If the governement controls everything, who do you turn to when things go sour? At least companies can check eachother, except for in the case of monopolies. If one company becomes corrupt, you can quit that company and go to another.
2. Ever hear the phrase, "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups?" That is why we have "Elected Representatives"
capitalism is the use of capital to produce a good or service. Without the use of capital, NOTHING can be produced. The big difference is who controls the capital. Is it state owned monopoly capitalism(socialism/communism), or free market capitalism(competitive)? If you are for socialism, you are for capitalism, except you do not want any personal property or responsibility. The problem is never capitalism, but corruption and greed. If you are against capitalism, you are against ALL production.
Socialists understand nothing about business. Profits are not always gained through cutting costs. The two main business strategies are 1. to be a cost leader or 2 to be a product differentiator. Cost leaders can provide cheaper products through cutting labour salaries just as easily as it can by securing cheaper commodities or creating more efficient practices. Product differentiators create profits though providing better, rather than cheaper products. No exploitation here!
THANK YOU! finally a real marxist leninist who actually knows what socialism is. FUCKING FINALLY! if you are totally against socialism then i will suggest you to watch the next two parts as well, because thats when it really starts to kick the thought of capitalism in the ass.
@Arondeus why cant i have a luxury car and private jet and big house? what if i earned it?wouldnt i deserve it...and if i wanted to give my money away, i could give them to charities.....why cant i choose what i want to do with my money......

Just compare your country with social democrat countries like Scandinavian countries, Netherlands, France, Germany, etc...
The problem of the Americans is ignorance due to their media and video like that. They have a problem of vocabulary and are totally unable to make the difference between marxism/communism and social democracy...
Freez57fr 1 week ago
@Freez57fr social democracy is a fancy word for taking my money and giving it to others, who did not earn it nor deserve it. Our citizens are ingorant, but that has only appeared in this past 20 years. Say, no wonderstupid Americans elected 'Social democrat' Obama. See where our country is? See how Scandinavian countries are STILL doing worse than us economically, after Obama? The second America fell was when 'social democracy' was implemented, along with government bailouts.

10trojan10 2 weeks ago
@10trojan10 I did prove a point. That you don't know what freedom means. You may think the cost of living indicator shows who is living better. It does not. Being dependent on a government is no way to live. Do you really want the govt to decide when you can go to the hospital, what you can be treated for? What kind of possessions you can own? Where you can live? What kind of job you can have? Freedom is about opportunity.
ThePhalseProfit 2 weeks ago
@ThePhalseProfit You don't know much how their economy and country works over there do you? They aren't totalitarianism.
10trojan10 2 weeks ago
@10trojan10 No, I don't..Why don't you move there and then you can tell us all about it. Of course over there you probably could not find a job that pays enough for you to have a computer, internet access, cable TV, a decent car, etc. But then again you probably can't afford it here either. Some Capitalist that makes a profit and pays his taxes probably pays for all that for you via welfare. And don't tell me you have a job..if you do you should be giving that money to someone poor.
ThePhalseProfit 2 weeks ago
@ThePhalseProfit Norway has a higher per capita GDP than the US, and the other countries I listed aren't far behind the US in per capita GDP. This means that Norwegians have more money on average than Americans. This also means that all those countries I listed do have computers, internet access, cable tv, good cars, etc. You're probably either the dumbest or most naive person I've come across on youtube if you don't believe Europeans have access to cable tv or internet.
10trojan10 2 weeks ago
@10trojan10 Good luck in debating my fellow Americans. The capitalist propaganda in the U.S. is incredibly pervasive. It's at the point where democracy is called "mob rule" and selling your labor to an international corporation is considered being "independent" and "free".
Ninjaslippa 1 week ago
@10trojan10 Like I said, it's become a religion to you and others. You cannot argue religion. I already pointed out that GDP, ie. money, is not what quality of life is about and then you go and quote GDP figures. You don't understand or want to understand. Yes, they have internet and cable in Europe. Where did that technology come from? From them or from some Capitalist country? They have TV, phones, internet, cars, computers etc because some Capitalist invented them and/or marketed them.
ThePhalseProfit 1 week ago
@ThePhalseProfit GDP is a good indicator, so is life expectancy (something those countries are pretty high in as well). Also, many of the happiest countries in the world have some form socialism and/or mixed economy. These countries government's aren't about telling their citizens what they can and can't do, but they have an economic system in place that tries to keep the gap between the rich and the poor reasonable. And the modern automobile was invented by a German.
10trojan10 1 week ago
@ThePhalseProfit And believing in a mixed economy (elements of socialism and capitalism) is no more a religion than believing in capitalism alone. Most, if not all, of the countries I listed also have a better score in the global gender gap. So some of them are richer, healthier, happier, and have more equality. If these things don't matter into quality of life, then I don't know what does.

the religious zealots sought Jesus' destruction.

God is love. Love is the answer.
Peace.

Just curious.
psychosolodiver 1 month ago
@psychosolodiver
AThingThatsWild 1 month ago
Western bourgeois people never get it - communism was never meant for you lol. It was meant to improve the lot of the proletariat. Working class people are better off under socialism - and that's what it was designed to do.
32peartree 1 month ago
A Hegelian might argue that the bourgeois are just as incapacitated by Capitalism as the proletariat. The bourgeois depend on the proletariat in a similar way that one relies on resources. This dependency dehumanizes both parties, and produces an ever-conflicting relationship between the classes. Unfortunately this concept is something that the bourgeois would never understand or agree to.

Capitalism will not be beaten. It has far to many benefits compared to the socialist system. I wouldn't be surprised if America became the only socialist nation on the planet.
Reido2828 1 month ago
Socialism is impossible, because economic calculation without prices that actually reflect demand in society is impossible. Without efficient production you can't sustain a high standard of living for society. Read some Hayek, he got a Nobel Price for proving this point.
Furthermore socialism is downright immoral, because it is an economic system governed by force (much like what we have now in the western world), rather than voluntary exchange.

MRWEDAWEST 1 month ago
@rustyrusky No capitalism is totally immoral as it treats workers like slaves! Socialism means the democratic control of the means of production distribution and exchange by the workers with a plan of production for need not profit! Capitalism does not work given that over half the worlds population live in extreme poverty and countless millions starve to death every year!
ParagramTree 1 month ago
@ParagramTree If the worker feels like he's treated like a slave he's free to leave, which defies the definition of slavery.
Capitalism raised a billion people out of poverty in the west. Did it ever occur to you that maybe it's because the rest of the world doesn't have capitalism that makes them poor? Western governments destroy agriculture in the third world since they heavily subsidize their own farmers who undercut the competition in poor countries, driving their farmers into poverty.
rustyrusky 1 month ago
@rustyrusky youre logic is terrible. if people are living in conditions where they are being compared to slaves, then social mobility and the ability to change career paths is also limited. The reason why the rest of the world is poor is not because they lack capitalism but rather because the resources are carried into other countries. Money doesnt just disappear out of thin air. It just gets moved. In the case of South America, the resources of those societies are being transferred to the USA
estebansaidanything 1 month ago
@estebansaidanything
Slavery didn't limit your career path, it was your own choice to go down that road. Why should someone else take responsibility for your choices? If you never payed attention in school and played games all day, then guess what, it's pretty fucking hard to become a physician that way.
You're just making up some pathetic excuses. You could still be your own boss, work hard and earn what your fellow man is willing to give you for your services.
rustyrusky 1 month ago
@rustyrusky all this would be very true if we lived in a simplistic society and world where we control everything that happens to us. Its sad but most things in life are a lottery. The biggest lottery both of us have won (assuming since we are using the internet actively) is where we were born. im not making up excuses. Im just stating that there are millions of variables that go into how you life and where you life. dont over simply life because then everything you say is a fallacy.

If you're getting paid the same amount to make a product no matter what, will you push to make it better, or will you slack off because you know there are no consequences? Competition and incentive, it's what drives people towards success while regulating the things they do for that success. That's why this country has grown so powerful, not because the government controls it.
epicpwner0 1 month ago
@epicpwner0 That's a simplistic argument - your country has grown so powerful because of its gargantuan military expenditure - most of its successes such as silicon valley are a by-product of this massive state investment in research and development. Such people as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs then apply these applications to the free market. America also runs a vast empire - from which it's corporations procure cheap raw materials and labor.
32peartree 1 month ago
@32peartree I won't argue with you on that. Military spending has greatly helped us in many ways. It advanced world technology on several occasions, got us out of the Great Depression, and made the US a superpower.
What I meant before is that firms that compete in a market tend to be more efficient than the government running everything. They respond quickly to what's needed and try do do it as efficiently as possible. Too big of a government, as you can see, isn't always the best.

And why would I support the wars on Iraq and Afghanistan? Those have gotten us absolutely nowhere but neck deep in shit, and now I'm gonna have to pay my 40 grand of national defect for what our idiot leaders have done.
epicpwner0 1 month ago
On paper, socialism is ( by far ) the best form of government.
But then you have the human element. Because of that Human element, capitalism is the one of the best forms of government for people. Face it, you want the most out of your life as possible, right? The difference is that some people are willing to work for it, and others will expect it to be handed to them. In Socialism, there is no incentive to succeed, so their innovation and production capacity is hindered immensely.
saucyman666 1 month ago
@saucyman666 The Soviet Union had some great scientists, engineers and artists - so your argument doesn't hold water. Besides, you can't look at the defeat of communism in splendid isolation from the realities of the Cold War. Communism didn't fail so much as it was defeated. Instead of constructing brilliant tanks, rifles, helicopters and jet fighters it could have built brilliant houses, cars, hospitals, washing machines etc - America knew this that's why they always pressed the arms race.

@DarkosApprentice That's not true.

There are many forms of socialism, from Libertarian Socialism to State Socialism.
I favor the Cooperative Company Model combined with state social services personally.

And you wonder why you don't see your average person get elected....
sanik00 2 months ago

Communism is a good idea but people are too selfish to execute it properly and people will always abuse it.
philyB08 2 months ago
@philyB08 damn right pure communism won't work because the government in your "communism" society would force me to charge less for my work as a doctor.
Capitalism can work because if im a doctor, I can charge as much as the market will bare. If I charge too much, people will simply find another doctor for a cheaper price. In communism, I can't compete.
sniped101 2 months ago
@sniped101 or the other doctors can see that your charging more, and then they charge more. Capitalism is full of corrupt people stabbing each other in the back to make a buck. Even you must admit that for a certain price you would destroy a business causing many to become poor so you could have more money and power.
cjw1010 2 months ago
@sniped101 You actually dont have a clue my dear lad. My ''communism society''? I think you are mixing up ideologies. You actually dont even understand both systems. I am not even going to humour you, because i could not bear to waste my time educating someone too lazy to study.
philyB08 2 months ago
@philyB08 so dont waste other people time writing posts about that you cant be arsed to explain cause its time waste for you. Ill give you an example. In socialism there is minimum wage of 1000 $ in capitalism same work is worth 800 $ but...in socialism 40 % of your income is reduced by taxes while in capitalism is approx 10 % (just to support army and police) Who earns more in this scenario ? further more fo rprice of 3 workers you can get extra fourth capitalism = jobs = wealth.
dan7212 2 months ago
@philyB08 and one more thing. Low taxes means people have more money to spend and if they spend more, they will supply government budget via VAT. Its been proven before that low taxes actually give more money to the budget than high taxes. Simple calculation not some advanced economics. In capitalism its up to YOU to get health insurance, pension etc....nobody forces you to pay for someone elses healthcare or his pension. FAIR

Why are so many Americas scared of socialism?
Getting rid of the US Federal Reserve would be a good start. Positive change to capitalism, it's the culprit to all major issues globally!

In the true form of capitalism, nature and praxeology would major factors!

philyB08 2 months ago
socialism isnt communism though. As far as I understand, communism includes the people owning the work places. For example, the people working at the factory, owns it and decides what should be produced. Its an old fashion idea that wont even work.
The future is obviously resource based economy.

@75kamaro Socialism is not slavery. It is in this world because countries abuse it and our governments abuse Capitalism which is where Communism comes into play. Socialism goes against the most basic civil liberties and therefore it cannot be called a "democratic idea". That is a false argument folks.
AlexNOSAM 3 months ago
Why is it the responsibility of those who have an abundance of capital in the form of cash to please those who have an abundance of capital in the form of labor, outside of the marktplace where that capital is traded? To argue that one is obligated to the other may oneday result in a system that demands the reverse, and those trading in the capital of labor will be forced to contribute their efforts for nothing.
eluminated 3 months ago
Right at 1:52 the argument for socialism dies. You agree to work (voluntarily trade labor which is a form of capital) and the company agrees to pay you (voluntarily trade cash which is just another form of capital.) But then the socialist argument ignores the fair trade and jumps into whether or not you're "happy" while completely ignoring the happiness of the other person on the other end of the voluntary transaction. Pure nonsense!
eluminated 3 months ago
This video makes a caricaturization of everything, like capitalism is about paying the less to the worker or that choosing a leader between the poor is a solution to a rich and educated leadership that goes wrong or something, it teaches nothing about socialism and capitalism, whoever is speaking should suicide.

Atrollin1 3 months ago
this guy is so wrong, ask any cuban how free are they today, ask how many cubans are free to create their own ideas, free to create their own company, and more why if an individual have the freedom tp persuade their own gold have to be the same as any other

400 Americans hold more money and assets than 125 Million Americans. Nope, Capitalism isn't bad. The masses are morons, and they do not realize the failures of Capitalism. The masses believe that Dictatorship is tied to Socialism.
PandaWithAShotgun 3 months ago
@PandaWithAShotgun
NoremacNotroh 3 months ago
@PandaWithAShotgun Them 400 do not hold their money. They spend, donate, invest and pay taxes. What are the failures of capitalism in your eyes? Dictatorship is not tied to socialism but the other way around. In a socialist system the people do not get the wealth, the government dose. In a free market, the people get the wealth. Here is a little story. Two people get a job at a young age at the same place, pay and work. one is not so bright the other is. The bright one becomes foreman, manager,
nannyberries 3 months ago
@PandaWithAShotgun then boss. he finally becomes head of the company and profits and expansion are moving forward. He is making good money for all his responsibilities. The other guy has moved up but just does not have what it takes to go any further up. Now the bright one has a chance to work for another company for more money and they really want him. So the two companies try and out do each other in wages. He earned his place. What is wrong with this???
nannyberries 3 months ago
@PandaWithAShotgun That's always been your kind's argument "X amount of people control most of the assets". Corporations and businesses need to have more property in order to function and meet the demands placed on it by the people. That statement is flawed. I have no problem with people owning more stuff than me because I AM NOT GREEDY. Let the businesses own more and earn more than me; If they are successful they earned every bit of whatever profit they received.
BlueFalcon86 3 months ago
@BlueFalcon86 I'm fine when people have more money than me also, the difference is that eventually, corporations are going to control so much money, everyone will be living in crap conditions while a few people live in extreme luxury. What does this sound like? There needs to be economic class, but there needs to be enough money for EVERYONE to afford their needs. Human nature is greedy. Keep telling yourself that you aren't greedy, but when money comes your way, you will take it.
PandaWithAShotgun 3 months ago
@PandaWithAShotgun You know that even with socialism people won't live in equality and they'll always be lacking something right? Socialism will always have their classes, one with more power (govt) and one with less (citizens). And of course I'll take the money, and so will you. Human nature is greedy, and that is why socialism won't work, because governments are people too.
BlueFalcon86 3 months ago
A pure democracy is undesirable, in my opinion. America is a REPUBLIC, meaning we elect representatives to govern in our place. Now, I don't think being rich should be a prerequisite to be in political office - though, unfortunately, that's usually been the case. In theory, ANYONE should be able to run, though it's simply not feasible for most. However, I do think education should be a prerequisite.
Ashiman12 3 months ago
You are the brainwasher, you communist bastard. Anyone with common sense knows that 3000 companies that cooperate in power are gonna raise more noise than ONE BIG GOVERNMENT making all the rules. Read below.

"and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands"
skytrooper1980 3 months ago
All the democrats are pseudo intellectuals with NO COMMON SENSE.
skytrooper1980 3 months ago
Ok, I have three main points to bring up in argument with this rhetoric (a.k.a. in laymans terms as bullshit).
1. If the governement controls everything, who do you turn to when things go sour? At least companies can check eachother, except for in the case of monopolies. If one company becomes corrupt, you can quit that company and go to another.
2. Ever hear the phrase, "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups?" That is why we have "Elected Representatives"
skytrooper1980 3 months ago
capitalism is the use of capital to produce a good or service. If you are against capitalism, you are against ALL production.
reallaraw 3 months ago
Socialists understand nothing about business. Profits are not always gained through cutting costs. The two main business strategies are 1. to be a cost leader or 2 to be a product differentiator. Cost leaders can provide cheaper products through cutting labour salaries just as easily as it can by securing cheaper commodities or creating more efficient practices. Product differentiators create profits though providing better, rather than cheaper products. No exploitation here!
