Thanks for the opiinion. I do agree it's a LOT of races, but I think the music in this game is really good. So you don't like electronic music... fine.

Also I actually like the announcer in this game. What game DOES have a REALLY GOOD announcer... which one, 'cause I'd like to hear it. This guy has enthusiasm. he's excited. He sounds like he actually CARES about what's going on. I've heard bad announcers, and this isn't one of them.

i must say that the people giving u hard time are full of crap.. in my opinion.. i enjoyed this review. and i like smaller reviews cuz A you arent a big name company being paid to review said product and i feel like im getting an honest opinion from another gamer.. i know im super late but hey i still found this review and am gonna convince my friends to buy it so we can atleast race eachother online. thanks again dreamslayer

@1337gam3r07 Typical Ridge Racer style. Very vibrant and shiny. Not a lot going on but the main focus is the detail in the cars rather than the tracks. I can see why you may not enjoy the gameplay but personally I am into the RR series, I just love the Drifting/Nitrous mechanic. I can see why you may not like it but to say it's the worst isn't a very accurate statement. Trust me, I can give you a lot of terrible racers to try.

gotta agree with reviewer, this is the 6th game in this series, surely you know what its all about by now? I just got it for 5 quid and couldnt be happier with it, altho, burnout revenge is better imo

@dreamslayer Maybe the graphics aren't perfect, but I'd have to disagree about the tracks being bland. There's a lot going on in the background and I think they are nicely detailed.

Plus, the game isn't trying to be something new, it's trying to be a fun, relaxed, yet classy arcade racer and it succeds at doing this wonderfully. The presentation of this game is really nice.

I've seen others try to compare it to stuff like GRID... that's not even an arcade style game.

I'm glad as a person that really loves the Ridge Racer series, this is more of the same for Ridge Racer fans like myself.

So many simulation type games these days it's a welcome change to be able to play a game that is just designed to be fun rather than realistic.

Great video,very informative and ridgeracer is a favorite of mine,i have to say though since ridgeracer type 4 soundtracks on this game have not been that good but type 4 just ruled it was a masterpiece!!!!!!!!!

i liked the ps3 version better. plus i knew that namco would put alot of work for you to do on this game (thanks to tekken games) i'm at 93% after 1 week and 3 days.

wow idiot its ridge racer 6 is not an arcade game. maybe ridge racers 1-5 were but 6 isnt. it has a career mode and online play

Cool. For the record though I like the drifting in games such as PGR4 and GRID and the sense of speed in the Wipeout series, the uppcomming HD version for the PS3 looks really neat. :D

I loved PGR4 but I couldn't really get into GRID.  I also need to check out Wipeout HD. More than likely going to get it too.
