correct me if im wrong but i thought the oil is supplied and circulated to parts like the turbo regardless if throttle is on or not. even when the car is off, the oil is still circulated to teh turbo to cool it.
Of course. The oil pump is always working, after a pull or a full dyno session you generally want to do anything to prevent damage. keeping the oil flowing ensures better wear protection.
Way to rich, that car is getting way to much fuel. The smoke is also completely black. That is a proof that its also too much oil, or something wrong with the engine.
Care to explain how you came to this conclusion? black smoke = unburnt fuel. The only way to tell if it has engine problems is to have a leakdown and compression test done. Plus you cant tell it's oil or not from a video because you cant spell the exhaust, nor can you check up on the oil consumption.

Advancing timing means telling the ignition to fire sooner before the piston reaches TDC (increasing degrees BTDC). As rpms increase, ignition timing must be advanced in order to give the fuel mixture time for a complete burn.
I wouldn't say they look far better than the new one. The new one looks just as good as any past version evo. I'd take the new one over the older one any day, technology gets better and I don't want to be left behind.

well if he has added power adders like bigger turbo charget etc, keeping the stock fuel flow is essencially running lean because the stock ecu, fuel pump, and injectors will likely not be able to keep up with the increased flow needed to safely run those modafications
Running rich doesnt give more hp to any degree, running lean provides more air which causes a bigger bang = more power, but the bigger bang also causes more wear on the engine, which is why we dont run lean. this is the whole point in forced induction, to provide more air which makes more power, but fueling has to be adjusted in order not to run lean.
thts the basic jist of it, correct me if im wrong.
P.S. this is why the 'Ebay +20BHP' mods dont work, they overfuel the engine.
and another reason why you dont want to run lean is because it creates tons of unwanted heat in the combustion chamber. and as we all know hotspots create detination and detination likes to tear engines aparts. also hot air is more dense which means you cant fit asmuch fuel into the combustion chamber...thats why intercoolers, nitrous and meth injection are valuable tools on boosted cars because they all lower intake temperatures considerably.
Sorry bro, but you need to hit up a science class again. You are right about the intercoolers and nitrous lower temperatures, but that makes the air more dense. COLDER air is more dense than hot. Denser air (with the proper ratio of fuel) = more power. Turbos compress air to make it more....dense.

Well, both of you are correct in GENERAL IDEAS, BUT... If you want to get technical and actually want to determine how much air and fuel youre getting in a more in-depth percpective is to either get;
1- Get a bench flow tester and smoothen out air friction which can cause head warpage burnt valves and more. (HIGH BOOST APP)
2- Methanol inj. for high boost or water to air injec. Lower temperature with a high Oil Cooler for lower engine block temp.
@DoNotClickHerePlz yes turbo makes more pressure more intake air temp. and less denser air.. so you have to collit with intercoller so if you coll with nitros your intercoller you vill get lower intake air temp and more denser AIR.. i hope you can read this i am from Serbia my english is not so good.... and i have evo IX haha

who said anything about running it lean ?? the whole issue was with ur theory of running rich providing more power............ which is shit.
as for running it lean, yes it will damage the engine, but who the fuck cares?? why bring that up?

well if he has added power adders like bigger turbo charget etc, keeping the stock fuel flow is essencially running lean because the stock ecu, fuel pump, and injectors will likely not be able to keep up with the increased flow needed to safely run those modafications

Actually, running rich means more hp to a degree. Lean means less fuel, and a smaller explosion.

Running rich doesnt give more hp to any degree, running lean provides more air which causes a bigger bang = more power, but the bigger bang also causes more wear on the engine, which is why we dont run lean. this is the whole point in forced induction, to provide more air which makes more power, but fueling has to be adjusted in order not to run lean.
thts the basic jist of it, correct me if im wrong.
P.S. this is why the 'Ebay +20BHP' mods dont work, they overfuel the engine.

and another reason why you dont want to run lean is because it creates tons of unwanted heat in the combustion chamber. and as we all know hotspots create detination and detination likes to tear engines aparts. also hot air is more dense which means you cant fit asmuch fuel into the combustion chamber...thats why intercoolers, nitrous and meth injection are valuable tools on boosted cars because they all lower intake temperatures considerably.

Sorry bro, but you need to hit up a science class again. You are right about the intercoolers and nitrous lower temperatures, but that makes the air more dense. COLDER air is more dense than hot. Denser air (with the proper ratio of fuel) = more power. Turbos compress air to make it more....dense.

@rv337 nooo you are completely wrong! colder air is more denser you are right!! but turbos don't make it denser they compress it! they force air into the cylinders. there is difference between denser and compressed air. think about a balloon when you take it to a cold place becomes smaller and yet has the same amount of air. turbo is different

Well, both of you are correct in GENERAL IDEAS, BUT... If you want to get technical and actually want to determine how much air and fuel youre getting in a more in-depth percpective is to either get;
1- Get a bench flow tester and smoothen out air friction which can cause head warpage burnt valves and more. (HIGH BOOST APP)
2- Methanol inj. for high boost or water to air injec. Lower temperature with a high Oil Cooler for lower engine block temp.
3-DYNO TIME IS KEY

@DoNotClickHerePlz yes turbo makes more pressure more intake air temp. and less denser air.. so you have to collit with intercoller so if you coll with nitros your intercoller you vill get lower intake air temp and more denser AIR.. i hope you can read this i am from Serbia my english is not so good.... and i have evo IX haha
