@RyanEndoh but you dont understand though . even if the TTC puts the LRT system underground there would be more problems. but i understand what your saying but the TTC cant put the whole LRT underground because it would cost them even more money that they cant really afford.
If Mayor Rob Ford did cancel this plan, he would go down as Toronto's worst Mayor ever! This plan is not only sound, but efficient and rapid and not to mention environmentally sound. TTC knows what it's doing, somehow i think suburban Rob does'nt, i think he caters to the Lexus driving Lawyers

@TrainmasterCurt have you ever waited for a street car? i mean this LRT idea is great for areas with the space for it. but all this will do is congest the city even more. some say people in the city do not drive and who gives a fuck if this line blocks a already congested road but the reality is people drive in the city all the time, tourists dive in. people from out of town drive in to spend money in our city. If it gets too crazy these people will not come and spend money.
Never will happen. Depends on a synergy of political will that doesn't exist in Canada. We're the Land of Missed Opportunities. Nothing gets done unless there are votes at stake or money to be made by a major political donor. Not enough Ontario voters care about or take transit and there's no way a private company can make money on it so don't expect any progress.

The initial idea is a very good one, but once examined the smaller technical details cracks start to form in the concept.
Really all im excited about is for the Malvern line, but having a LRT in an area like Scarborough may not be the best idea.
