I have stayed in the east end of Glasgow and seem cars trashed and set on fire for no reason than it's full of neds that will basically use any excuse (or even none) to vandalise something. The Scots are indigenous to their country, they were known as Picts by the Romans who failed to conquer them, and further back they were known as Caledonians.
The Irish called them the 'Cruithne', different names from different sources all refering to the same people that are known as Scots today.

I don't know why everybody thinks it is such a big deal that we Scots do not like the English. We have fought for centuries, as most neighbouring countries do. Yes our feeling of dislike for England is rather strong but that is because we are a proud and patriotic nation. As for the car in video, it was a set up, NEDs will smash up anything if they can think of a reason for doing it (and in many cases for no reason at all), the BBC went looking for trouble to make us look bad.

anti-English is rife in Scotland, especially where I live, and it's because of the SNP. Where I live, it's actually a pro-Union area, or shall I say, was, once. Now, It's slowly becoming more and more different, and anti-Englishness is around, and it's quite funny that more and more English people are arriving to live here, due to immigration down in England. Thankfully, pro-Britishness is still strong, but the SNP seem to always target England, England, English this and that etc.

I love Scotland, every year I go upto the Cairngorms and have friends who work on some of the estates there and I love the variations in your culture.
