Ryuei Ryu Seisan kata is very close to Uechi Ryu Seisan kata. But I think that Uechi Ryu Seisan is done just a little slower. The speed of Ryuei Ryu is closer to Isshin Ryu Seisan kata, so I think. Is Ryuei Ryu the oldest of the Naha Te? Did Mr. Norisato Nakaima go to China a full five years before Mr. Kanbun Uechi(Uechi Ryu) and almost a full ten years before Mr. Higa(shi)onna (teacher of Mr. Miyagi of Goju Ryu). Thank you for the video I love to see the Naha Te family tree. Osu
interesting, if you combine this version of seisan with the chotoku kyan version you pretty much get shotokan's hangetsu. I've yet to see another school perform it with the slow "sanchin"-type movements though. does anyone know if there are other slower versions of this?
they do do sanchin in ryuei ryu , but i cant find it , he is so awesome his kata is amazing and his techniques are so sharp and powerful , his videos are well worth the money.

Hi, this was an excellent clip. It was said that Ryuei Ryu and Goju-ryu both came from Fochow, China from the same Master, Ru Ru Ko. The Seisan from both schools are certainly very similar, therefore I've been curious to look at Ryuei Ryu's Seiyonchin, Seipai, and Sanseru. Do you have anything to recommend? Thanks.
There is a tape by Sakamoto sensei that has him performing all of the Ryuei-ryu kata. The only one not done, to my knowledge, is Sanchin. If I recall, Seipai is not performed in the system. The tapes are definitley worth the money.
Very close to Goju Ryu Seisan. Very nice.

Great! Do you have others clips from Sakumoto's instructional video?
I'd be very happy to see the instructional version of Annan with the application/bunkai. Check my videos: I'm interested in Okinawan karate too

I have the video but I cannot post the rest of the kata. This clip was used for a discussion of the various versions of Seisan only.
