  • Didnt holy bull beat most of these, he surly would have won this, his owners should have supplemented him, why did'nt he qualify for the classic? holy bull was a real champ, one of my fav's

  • Concern wouldn't have got past Holy Bull, especially after a 1:36 4/5 mile...The Bull shrugged him off in the Travers. Great Stretch call by Durkin.

  • I love this horse. What an exciting running style. His "nephew," Richard's Kid, has that same come-from-behind kick that is so fun to watch.

  • Whenever I talk about Zenyatta, Concern always comes into the conversation.

  • Great race.

I have to think Best Pal was the best of this bunch, but perhaps this was late in his career.

    Any thoughts?

  • This is my favorite, most exciting horse race ever. Concern rules!

  • holly bull would have ate ate this field..like he had beaten them all before!

  • Wow, Jerry Bailey looks SO young! That really was a heck of a race.

  • Even without champion Holy Bull, the three year olds ran 1-4 (Concern,Tabasco Cat,Dramatic Gold,Soul of the Matter). It's interesting to think how Holy Bull would have done in here.He only won 1 race over 9 furlongs, the Travers, but he did beat Concern and Tabasco Cat in doing so.However, he only had 4 opponents in the Travers while the Classic had 14 starters, and would have faced sharp pace pressure from more quality speed and a Tabasco Cat that was much sharper.I wish Croll would've run him

  • Dernier Emperor wins this race if he doesn't get put into the rail three furlongs out.Had money on him too...

  • Dernier Emperor wins nothing, even without being checked. Eat those tickets like a man! There's always 9 races tomorrow.

  • My favorite horse of all time, and of course, this was my favorite all time race. Thanks for posting it.

  • Concern wasn't what you would call a great racehorse. But by golly he was a horse with a ton of try! At his best he was cause for concern. I loved seeing him get this race,he deserved it. If he could have raced mid pack,he would have won many more races. But sometimes you can't change running styles.

  • Ooh boy! What a great race by Concern, a stretch drive for the ages!

  • I couldn't agree more. Great to see.

  • I really enjoy to post race comentary you put after the race, you should do that more often. Just a suggestion.

  • I would like to have some post-race commentary in all of my posts if it was my choice, but the races I have posted in the past have had little or none altogether. Believe me, I would post it if I had it.

    Thanks for watching.

  • I know there isn't much out there. But thanks for trying. Can you do a tribute to George Washington. They had to put him to sleep on the track in the Breeders Cup.

  • Thanks. Very sad about "Gorgeous" George, as he was famously called. Tribute videos are not my forte, I just like finding classic races and posting them. My friend Carly Kaiser has posted a fine tribute to him and specializes in that type of video.

    Take care.

  • As posted by jruck3000: Well you do good work. Thanks for the videos.

Sorry about that, jruck. I accidentally hit "remove" instead of "reply."

Thanks again for your support, I appreciate it.

  • This has whetted our appetite for the weekend!

  • I feel the exact same way. Enjoy the BC this weekend! May it be one of great races!

  • The way Concern runs from the back to this dramatic finish is nothing short of incredible!

Thank you so much for posting this race for us!

  • Isn't it though? I love the fact that Concern got up in, arguably, the biggest race of the year. Fantastic stuff!

    You're always welcome, Jazzy!
