The government grows and it grows by regulating and strangulating the private sector. Not one government pen pusher ever produced a single product but every new regulation creates more jobs for government workers who then need to grab more money from the private sector because government workers cost money, big money! It's a vicious circle.

Why does no one listen to this man? Fire 3/4of government and get rid of income tax. get rid of property tax and death tax. THe get rid of 99% of business regulations and 99% of the laws wile we're at it. THe economic boom that would follow would blow away any other boom in world history.

@anarchylogic Sure, there's a great idea. Most growth in government comes in the form of subsidies to .... you guessed it, multinational corporations!! They ARE the government.

I have another idea - how about if we cut down the entire Amazon Forest, pave it over, sell the river water to Coke for Desani bottled water product and let's go build some new houses in Las Vegas!

Most of government isn't about administration it's about hospitals, teachers and cops and soldiers. Who wants to fire them?

Faber has always favoured the emerging economies, South East Asia, China.. for very good reason.. low percentage of credit compared to total economy.. meaning there are more real economy within these nations than the EUR/US
