  • 750 millioen dollars? Somebody please call me a jelly bean.

  • Interesting, somethings are said here I have felt but have never been able to express intellectually.

  • @lcpl1981 at least I keep my mouth shut when I dont feel I can express things properly and intellectualy.

  • This talk makes me think of what Frederick Douglas said at the passing of the 13th amendment: Verily, the work does not end with the abolition of slavery, it has only begun.

  • The Onion illustrates Jesse Jackson properly:

"We must continue the struggle my publicist started three decades ago and never settle for page 28," Jackson said. "We must keep hope for the front cover–ideally, above the fold–alive."

  • Why don't you "Say It"? Mr. leader of himself!!!???

  • What would Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson be without racial tension?

    Nothing, that's what.

These people have absolutely no interest in making things better because it would cut in to their profits. They're getting rich off the suffering of their people and as long as the money keeps coming in they will never take any real steps to improve things for anyone other than themselves.

  • @theshillelaghlaw Ah, the perennial black story. I agree. Blacks as a race have rarely taken initiative to unite and help each other succeed. Ironically, their best effort was during Jim Crow and Segregation. The separation somehow compelled them toward more self-reliance. Black-owned banks, insurance companies, investment firms, grocery stores, fire depts., schools, etc. The Harlem Renaissance happened then, too. But generally blacks prefer to follow the race hustlers and stay the same.

  • THOSE PEOPLE ARE WHITE PEOPLES IDEAL SERVANTS THANKS GUYS ! THE ONES I NAMED BELOW . ALL THOSE PEOPLE MAKE GOOD POINTS ONCE IN A WHILE BUT ARE VERY ONE SIDED . • Obama stated that the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that the Supreme Court didn’t bring about redistributive change. watch?v=Sj4yIE9Dd90 He told Joe the Plumber in 2008, that he wanted to spread the wealth around. watch?v=PUvwKVvp3-o

Obama is a socialist. He took over the automobile, mortgage, banking, and health care industries via legislation and regulation. Govt is expected to own 70% up from 19% in 2008.

  • Al Sharpton believes that a vote for Obama was a vote for socialism. watch?v=KCpINI5aVy0 Al Sharpton wants to share the wealth. “Al Sharpton: We Won't Have True Social Justice Until Everything is Equal in Everybody's House” watch?v=95bcEb1rV18

    .

Sharpton should start by giving up his $5 million (from celebrity net worth com) It’s also worth noting Hilter was a socialist that seemed to follow the Communist Manifesto.

    Allen West 2012

  • I totally agree with Steele in this clip.

  • I hate eric Dyson, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton!

Those guys are liked because they still use the old rhetoric of "blame the white man"

  • liberals and blacks have a sado-masochistic relationship...really bizzare!

  • Shelby Steele i have read your books and you are so lost. Your prediction about Obama was wrong, and you are also wrong about Farrakhan. You accuse Barack Obama of being lost because he's biracial like you. You were describing yourself in your book A Bound man. You are the one who is in a bind.

  • @THEKINGOFBAKERSFIELD

get off the corna black man.

  • google marvin bush

  • dis nigga uncle tom shit haha

we bin opressed fo how long now? an da wite ppl wan act like dey all cool wit us da sudden lol u no dat sum boolshit ha

  • @WonderBread006 You sound like a Klan member doing an impression of how he thinks black people speak.

Telling the truth about the religion of racism doesn't make him an Uncle Tom.

  • What a breath of fresh air this guy is.

  • I'm sure many Whites, particularly White conservatives, just love Shelby Steele,

and I'm sure he loves them too. LOL

  • Teach on brotha! This guy is telling the truth.

  • Shelby, I wish all the Blacks would listen to your message instead of those other idiots, ie., black panthers, nation of islam, etc.

  • Amen!!!!!!!!

  • You get real getdun2012 your nappy head pigeon!!!!!!

  • I see you cotton pickin field negroes don't get it. You guys enjoy being victims because your week and weak minded. Your also un intelligent philosophical intellectuals.

  • shelby steele i have respect for sharpton and jackson i have no respect for, they are nothing but race baiters who use black people to line there pockets with money

  • @cocobear33 And Shelby Steele is a race baiter who uses white supremacy to line his pockets with cash.

  • A direct paradox emerges from Mr Steele, Mr Sowell et al: that 'patronage' serves the patron. Outcomes are not equal- can be destructive. Empiracal data supports this (Sowell). But Steel's argument may equally appalud Jesse & Al for their marketing abilities. The hv made 'race' profitable & enriched themselves. He & Sowell likewise hv cornered a free-market in 'black' neo-con line. All are involved in effective market strategies & hv enhanced thier families wealth.

  • @24Cenac

I would like to think that its a little more than just marketing to achieve some monetary gain. Surely you see that theyre ideological opposites, much the same as Im ideologically opposed to everything Jackson and Sharpton stand for. Jackson n Sharpton stand for policies that r destructive to the people they claim to represent. Welfare doesn't lift people up it keeps them down, and affirmative action has ensured that no minority can have unquestionable success. Right against wrong

  • @jjrglobal , I'm in the UK. We do not see 'welfare' as demeaning. Scandanvian countries are same. We blame the ineffective market for unemployment & combined with ineffective Gov. policies. We see black unemployment as due to racism & A/ACTION as an attempt to combat racism. We believe the poor whites who went to USA were the biggest beneficiaries of patronage & used the State to keep blacks uncompetitive.

  • @24Cenac

You should see welfare for what it does to the people that are on it. What results are produced. I dont give a shit about perception. Personal story. My nurse a cpl of yrs ago was promoted to office mngr which meant an increase in pay from 30K to 50K yr. When it came close to the end of the yr she was informed that she was going to lose all of her gov't assisstance because of her pay raise starting at the beginning of the next year. She quit because of this and is still unemployed

  • @jjrglobal

as far asi know. In her eyes I guess her benefits from govt like medicaid, housing, foodstamps, totaled up to more than what her job was worth. Here's what she didn't know, I was going to give her a raise to $75 K a year right at the time she decided to quit. Now her career is not moving forward and worse than that, what kind of skills will she be able to pass on to her children, considering all she does is sit on her ass now?

  • @jjrglobal It sounds like she didn't like working for you. And you are hurt by that. Maybe you should look at yourself.

  • @dutytocareforothers It sounds like she doesnt like working for anyone, since she still doesnt have a job.

  • @jjrglobal, these are bad policies & the 'people' have the option to vote better ones. I take it you belong to a class that hates such policies, distrust welfare, etc. But democracy allows for difference.Btn us, in Europe we believe many jobs are equally as 'demeaning' as welfare-we get immigrantas to do many, or we study, in between breaks on welfare, to better ourselves. Welfare can be complementary to a market: it allows time for re-skilling.

  • @24Cenac

If only there were a single shred of evidence to support your claims of Welfare lifting people up and bettering their lives, then I would agree to continue these failed moronic policies, but there isnt any evidence to support your claims. On the other hand there is a 30 year history to show the destructive nature of Welfare on an entire class of people that it has kept down since its implementation.

  • Welfare does not help people who are semi-literate. Or have any skills. Work helps them little either unless they desire the fluctuations of 'cab' life. Blacks have little education-and it is there, not welfare, where some of the problems are. U may be black; u may be white. But the 'welfare' polemic is a modern way of saying 'lazy niggers'.

  • @D33veeoss

What retarded bullshit did he say that you disagree with specifically?

  • Simply that corporations bent around "white guilt" / "inverse rascism" and gave up TONS of money because of how this country got started decades ago.

I work for companies as big as the one the man's alluding to.

    They follow the bottom dollar.

The only reason they do *ANYTHING* is for the bottom line

Fuck this,"the lost money because of white guilt" shit. That's not how corporations work. ANY of them. AT ALL.

Same with Sharp and Jack "extorting" USA Gov't SAME THING.

    Doesn't happen

  • Decent speculation, I'll give the man that much. He'd be a good lawyer.

  • @getDun2012

I see you are a fan of the black panthers, whats the difference between the panthers and the KKK?

  • @jjrglobal The Black Panthers don't have authority. Nor do they get elected as governor or mayor like many KKK members have in current history. Let's not be so ignorant.

  • @dutytocareforothers

Yeah they skipped governor and mayor and went right to the white house, huh?

You think it was a coincidence that Michelle wore a black widow dress to the inauguration? Dont be so naive. there is no difference between the two groups. They are both made up of unintelligent racists loser dirtbags that must find some reason they have failed at life other than there own shortcomings.

  • @jjrglobal Blacks in the white-house are catering to a white agenda. When it comes to minority issues they drag their feet and grumble.

  • @dutytocareforothers

A white agenda??? Racist much??? There should be no goddamn white or black agenda, there should only be an American agenda. Unfortunately there is only a self centered democrat agenda. To hell with the country, what can I get, agenda

  • As a African American male Im am happy that my true brother Shelby Steele has stood up and told the truth about Jessy Jacksons Racist tactic. Jessy is the real uncle Tom.

  • @Thedoc1100

    You're the real Uncle Tom.

Try Marc Laomnt if you want someone who understands how to form a proper opinion and state a case and a fact. They gentlemen does not have the proper seasoning within his faculties to present a case for anything properly.

Having said that, he's got a piece of the truth. I will give him that. He's a got a little slice of the pie.

Is he saying that Sharpton and Jackson pried even 1 single $ from Uncle Sam???

    BULL to the SHIT.

  • @Thedoc1100

    Last thing. 750 mil WHY?

Because the guy said, "hey, yes I said it I apologize it wasn't racist I was just saying. It was careless and I'm sorry."

    THATS WHY??

    I'd look into that

White guilt is real but it's not corporate not for a second. Corporations do what the profit tells then. Corporations are machines. They have no 'guilt', But yes, white guilt is bad and DIVIDES people and that's wrong. Whites and blacks after to BOTH realize that the other side isn't thinking bad of them

  • uncle Tom

  • He hasn't the intellect to be an uncle Tom.

Hes like an uncle Tom x2.

Faggot buster needs Shaq's foot up his ass. Shaq needs to wear him for a few games as he plays.

Stomp some sense into the brotha.

  • @Thedoc1100 get real whitey

  • " "

  • @Thedoc1100 I don't know why he keep saying that we are FREE r we not still being RULED by the same people who enslaved us"Do we control and run our own form of GOVERNMENT?DO we have our own land? Can we say we have our own written constitution? NO so until we can say YES then we R NOT FREE .BLACK POWER

  • Bravo!!!!!!!!

  • Its funny how people dont look at the root of the problem. If a group of people are guilty then naturally they will feel guilt. As far as doing for self look at the Tulsa Riots and see what heppens when blacks come together in mass. Black wallstreet isnt the only example but the only solution is separating from pharoah.

  • Holy SHIT!!!!

    A clamoring for moral authority....

The most concise insightful statement I have ever heard...

    Postaljeff....uh...wha?

Have you talked to other races?

  • NOW.....finally an intelligent blackman!

  • White guilt really hurts black people the most.

  • Nobody wants their own children chastized, had rocks thrown at their daughters, spat at, hated at with sneering epitaph and relentless insatiable hatred.

    Nobody wants that.

So when you see that your blood line had a part in it, you're stuck between not wanted that treatment for your children and defending your great grandpa/ma.

    BUT BUT BUT...

When people say 'we don't condone that' it's not heard nor accepted. They're told that they DO condone it. So a wedge forms.

    Savage shit.

  • You guys do realize that BP and WS are acting the role that biology and basic phsychology mandates them to right?

Ever heard of FORGIVE and FORGET?

    That's all it takes.

    Only answer.

You know what? Even ignore and forget.

    That works too.

  • @btpolitic i dont think so,

  • @btpolitic LOL! Most whites don't walk around with any guilt. I sure as hell have no guilt.

  • @btpolitic I'm white, but not crazy!

  • So, those organizations are "White Guilt Collection Agency" and those guys are "White Guilt Debt Collectors'? That's a good business!

  • Shelby Steele is awesome! So is the guy who is calling in asking the question. I agree!

  • He's so amazing. I'm glad we have at least 1 black person explaining this to us. He's truthful. America's dead. Spray paint your skin brown at least look like a mexican to bypass being white. This "white's guilt" is murdering us. This psychological state of mind throughout evolution of white people made it become like this. PERIOD.

  • Yep, a total period.

NO other factors in play here. AT ALL.

    SCHLUSS! ENDE!

  • Forget Obama. Shelby Steele for President!!

  • honestly. But there's no way. At least to my knowledge Shelby is being truthful. He deserves it seriously.

  • i support sheby steele to a rediculous degree and i know that its jsut an expression but america doesnt want to be based on race, despite the fact that it is. But seriously, there are other issues than race relations. True hes the most honest guy on earth. But that doesnt qualify him for presidency. dont respond if all your going to say is that it was an expression. cause i get that

  • couldn't agree with you more. He doesn't have the experience at all. Good author though, for sure.

  • $750,000,000 from Texaco!

Sign me up to be the next black leader!

  • True dat. Steele is a cool dude.

  • He said it bugs him that Blacks are not better represented than those two guys. First, it bugs ME to think ANY ONE person is [supposed] to 'represent' us, when many of us have many opinions about so many things! Shelby Steele mentions also that he would respect Jackson more if he told 'his' people to embrace responsibility. Well, I don't know about him all of a sudden being a "legitimate leader". You should'nt have to be considered a 'leader' to challenge others!

  • That's true

  • This one missed me 747. Good call man. Exactly right.

  • shelby steele remind me a lot of chevy chase for some reason.. looks like him and has similar expressions

  • But let's not forget that Al and Jesse are part of the race machine. They are no different that Sean Hannity, Rush, Savage, or any other neocon. Why are they always on Fox News. Because they are on the same payroll. Its all a big game.

But I do agree that AL/Jesse are ridiculous.

  • Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are making their livings from the very people they prentend to be helping. They wouldn't nor couldn't make a living or have any exposure at all if they we white. I hate it that they keep racial unrest alive with their antics. That's how they make their money..... Shame....

  • Ken Timmerman wrote the book Shakedown, a great book for anybody who wants to see the real Jesse.

  • I can't stand Al, and Jesse.,,period!
