  • Germans make the bests weapons of world. Assaut Rifles, tanks, howitzers, etc

  • Ok, now I have no clue who posted what but from what I gathered someone has said something about Germans being bad or some such business, now being a German AND Canadian, we've BOTH caused a mass genocide in our histories, lets leave it in the past and move forward please. Or brush up on your Canadian history. I'm proud to be a Canadian but I'm also proud to be of German descent.

  • Allthough the leo1 was never made for desert combat is still like the way the upgraded version looks. But hey its no leo2a6

  • The only thing i can say is God bless Canada! and of course Germany for providing us with sweet tanks.

  • I'm Canadian and german, so this tank is a huge nerdgasm for me! :D

  • if you want to distroy the leopard 2 you need a nuke

  • this tank have a bis ass 48l v12 i want theat in a dacia logan

  • The Germans, believe me, would love you, if you made a tank yourself. Canadians could do it.

  • Do I see right? Are they using the first leopards of the 70s and 80s here?

  • @johndoe3k5 - Sort of at least intially. When the Canadian tanks were first deployed, they were Leopard 1 C2s which are vastly upgraded (armour and armament) versions of the Leopard1s. Before long, the Canadian government arranged to borrow 20 Leopard 2s A6Ms from Germany for use in Afghanistan and to purchase 150 or so from Germany and the Netherlands as permenant replacements for the Leoprard 1s.

  • thanks for using 60t german steel

  • god bless Canada! i hope we germans bless u a bit with your war-toys... u are welcome!

buy the new A7 asap :)

  • @oXbOxr00X You Germans make some outstanding tanks! Those Leopard 2s that Germany loaned to Canada for use in Afghanstan saved a lot of lives and the 150 or so sold to us at bargain basement prices will serve our military very well for a long time to come.

  • @webstermr ;) your military have to check out your weapons too :) H&K for example.

  • @webstermr believe me! we are very proud that the canadian army use our tanks and we can save some lives. germans like canadians a lot - canada is one of the best countries on earth

  • @MrMegacurie Canada and Germany have a strong relationship and together we show the world how former enemies can put the past behind us and move forward as friends and staunch allies.

  • @webstermr agreed plus the Germany that is today is not the Germany of the past "don't blame the sins of fathers and grandfathers on the sons and daughters"

  • @HerticORwhitey Thats not true... we are still the same.. let me explain your history is older then 5000Years! so i guess we are still the old germans that set quality over quantity! We only accept stuff if its 100% done! and lot of other great thinks, i get your point the NS stuff is over! and we all agree that is history! we all did your evil stuff in the past, it time to look in the future :) and no u don't blame anyone, germans soilders was no nazis their was just loyal :(

  • @oXbOxr00X You are welcome....and are great knowledge and warriors....IAM a Canuck and will fight for your side!

  • @TheMrfreedomrequired sorry brah but what is an: Canuck ?? I'm a german so i don't know ... there is an IKce-hocky time that got named Canuck i guess.. but plz clean my view :)

Hail Germany Hail Canada! together we will get it!!!

  • @oXbOxr00X A Cauck is a slang term given to canadians and the Vancouver Canucks adopted the name for thier hockey team. If you look it up in Wikipedia it says that the origin is unknown, but I think it has some Native canadian background to it, as such the name Canada (Kanada) was originally of native tongue to mean village. Cheers from canada!

  • @TheMrfreedomrequired ah like we germans are the Krauts except Cauck mean a good way?

thx for clean my view :) hopefully we fight both for the right thing.. but anyway u are protected as good as u can be! have a nice day brah! greetz and respect from Cologne, Germany!

  • @oXbOxr00X Kraut is after sour krout I believe...and I dont think its a derogitory term or it shouldnt be........if I ate a lot of beef and they called me a burger....... so be it! a name is nothing more than a word unless of course YOU let it be more than that :) I met a girl from germany here at one of our hot springs and she absolutely loved it. Canada is also a huge imigrant nation...there are alot of Germans that live here....Cheers.

  • @TheMrfreedomrequired haha kraut is nothing u can fight me with, indeed i love sauerkraut who not? real German Sauerkraut with Kassler is the best! yes if i leave germany i will come to Canada.. USA is cool and open for Germans but atm the whole world take us for good :) but Canada is not so on ruing ppl for nothing like the Americans love! have a nice weekend brah! nice talking with you!

  • world of tanks kicks ass

  • @MrMegaWolfeman well now the government it's actually getting us the gear we need thats why we need to vote for Stephen harper

  • I know it's ancient but I will always prefer the look of the 1C2 turret. Kind've like a LeClerc crossbred with the Abrams. So much of the modern (Leo2 etc.) stuff looks like a pillbox atop a pair of skis.

Leo2A6AM is a decent vehicle though and the side protection is _significantly_ better with the slat upgrade as well as the APU/Air Conditioning mods for the back and the basket.

  • @Mixelplic Greatest Ever chose the Leopard 2 as the greatest ever tank. The Abrams was second and the Israeli Merkava was fourth. (the old T-34 was thrid)

  • Rossco,

Yeah, decent tank, still not what the U.S. needs however as the difference between 56 tons and 68-72 tons for a 2A6AM and 1A2 SEP/TUSK-II is that of 'one tank per plane vs. 'special waiver, one tank per plane'.

There is an old video that Shinsecki supposedly used to beat the Army into submission on wheeleds vs. tracks. Shows an Humvee firing a LOSAT through a the front glacis and out the back engine grill of a 1A2 with the missile more or less 'in shape and ready for more!'.

  • Point being that tank engagements on a LOS horizon are won by those that can put the most rounds in-air, on target, in the first 10 seconds and the humvee wins at 8 rounds with four flying. Same deal for Spike-NLOS and Netfires. Without APS like Quick Kill or Trophy/Iron Fist, you are really looking at a situation where OTH top attack beats everything. With APS, you saturate and go stealth. AMOS and Stryx etc. will got 10-12km vs. 6 on 120mm L55.

  • @Mixelplic Ok, I'll be honest with you. I got very little out of that. But I see your point, most affective rounds win.

  • @Mixelplic and when do u ever get 10-12 km visibility especially in central and eastern europe???

  • Back before they torqued a scout into an 'IFV', the Bradley was going to have a mast that could have easily gotten us out into that area, at least in daylight. Then you have Pave Mover/Orchidee/SOTAS. Even, in theory, aerostats like SASS.

There is no reason to share a common horizon with a mile per second or better kinetic kill effector if you can lob a .25nm indirect, twice as far.

  • OH-58D did it all the time. We were getting 50-100km (one of the reasons it was cancelled, we got into it

with the USAF over 'BAI' definitions) with Brave 200 as the followon to MQM-105 Aquila, simply by trading LOS range for simple, cheap, optics (vs. million dollar SFPAs) on a sacrificial that came to the user in semitrucks containers with preloaded cells of 20-30 drones in cubbyholes. Like carrier pigeons from WWI.

  • they should buy the US tans not them if they notup for the job

  • the chellenger 2 has better Armour.

  • Perhaps the Canadian army should be absorbed into the U.S. Army.

  • @johnross12 yeah they should

  • @johnross12 That will never happen.

  • good soldiers, baddd equipment

  • @MrMegaWolfeman - Canada has the latest Leopard Tanks as we speak --no Worries !!! .

  • @1Bandit455 ahaha, i know, just used to be in the forces man, the equipment i got was shit, seriously, some of my kit was from the 80s, my combats didnt fit at all, like way too short, etc etc, i get pissed with the govt, either give them what they need, or get rid of the military, none of this in between shit

  • @MrMegaWolfeman - I hear you man --its getting better though .

  • @MrMegaWolfeman

lol what a bad german technology .. buy some russian , english or american trash the next time

  • @zer0nable when i said bad, i meant outdated. New leopard tanks would destroy any other tank out there, and has been rated as one of the best, russian...seriously? A kid on a bike with plywood armor is more effective than russian tanks lol

  • Canada...kicking ass since ww1

  • As always I salute our brothers from the true north.

  • so nice to see our troops doing awsome fighting not that peace keeping shit

  • The leopard 2 is the best tank in the wirld i think (im not shure)

  • I don't suppose you play World of Tanks

  • @GRSynopsys yes i do, beta key, getting bit board with it thou

  • @TankNutDave Hah, I was Wind422, I played with you a couple times.

  • @GRSynopsys you mean you watched me got mangled to bloody quickly lol

  • @TankNutDave dave is it true challenger 2 is faster over rough terrian than leclerc as there is so much conflicting stories

  • @johnyjoe2 both tanks use hydrogas suspension so better off road than abrams and Leo2, however Leclerc has bigger engine so is quicker in reaching top speed, but both equally match in their top speed, that make sense?

  • @TankNutDave got you thanks dave. another thing i would like to ask u is there really a m1a3 in the make and do u know any thing about it

  • @johnyjoe2 yes there is and always has been, but with the cancellation of the Russian T-95, their is no requirement for it.

  • cpl ribert is now a mcpl!! haha he was on my sq, he MADDDDD fit.. but hes hella tight

  • i like tanks

  • im an proud american and i say we need canada's help in this war go canada

  • @SuperChuck79 damn straight

  • im in the french foriegn legionaaire come from perth western australia im in deuxeme rep de parachutist commando i fought in iraq and afghanistan , went home to perth got my mechanical fitters ticket, and we are stationed intaghaab vallee

my real names glenn my assumed name is john luke mittier d'infanterie deuxeme companie soon may be getting job with blackwater usa

  • this is the german tank

  • Der gute alte Leo 1...............

  • I think that an AVDS-1790-5A rated at 908hp would be better then that old MTU engine.

  • did we pass these on to the Afghan National Army?

  • No, Canada will keep them for a couple of more years as the Leopard 2 is being adopted, takes time to train troops set up logisitcs for it etc. Afhans bought a load of upgraded T-55's from Russia a few years back.

  • Hey u in a tank squad? i was wondering about the training how hard it is or wat ever and how long is the training im going to be joining after i finish High School in June. :]

  • I know a fair bit about tanks, I'm half Canadian, been on them, but not I'm not a tankie, however The Canadian Armies website is very helpful and recommend you check that mate :-)

  • do u know if they have AC?

  • @XxHARDNIPSxX im betting they do, becuase in afghanistan with the temp being 40 degrees, ud most likley pass out in a tank, if it doesnt have ac

  • and plz reply i would like to know. thx :]

  • That idea was tossed around DND and Parliament but im pretty sure it died quickly. I would much rather see these tanks used to supplement the Leo 2's, which would make more sense then just getting rid of them. These are still viable on our own soil and in the proper environment conditions, backing up the Leo2's and such. Hell why not fire up a factory and tool it to supply the wear items on these tanks, to keep them going for a little while more? More jobs, force multiplier, good + good = great!

  • @nonamebrand0 the ANA cannot afford these armored vehicles.... the german built leopard 2 costs nearly as much as half dozen t-55s from russia.... not just that but it uses advanced tech like computer firing systems that the afghans simply dont have access to parts to repair and train on....

  • @101andrewj I wasn't talking about the Leopard 2, I was talking about the upgraded Leopards we sent before we bought the new tanks. Why would we be passing on the Leopard 2's we just got/selling them to the Afghans, I dont know how you got that from my comment. The Leopard C2 is not a Leopard 2.

  • @nonamebrand0 i kno its a upgraded version but still the first leopard.... the leopard 2 is a whole new armored vehicle

  • @101andrewj Then your first comment makes no sense as I never mentioned the Leopard 2 in my original comment.

  • @nonamebrand0 yeah right... one of these new leos is worth more then a small province in afghanistan

  • @101andrewj what are you talking about? I said the C2, the original leopard

  • Perhaps compared to this tank, but if you want to compare tanks, compare the M1A2 vs the Leopard 2 A6M and you find a challenge.

  • Norway had the Leopard 1, cant remember which version of it. But we canged it whit Leopard 2A4

  • Norway started of with the A1 then upgraded them and bought A5 so all were the A5NO standard :-) its all on my site, link is above.

  • hehe, nice you know more of it then me how as you are interested in the military and tanks hehe

  • Nice to see the boys in those old cats. It would also be nice to them in the newer cats in Afghanistan as well.

Thanks Tank for the vids... :D
