  • What some of the more pouty/hysterical don't seem to realise is that Hooky takes his Joy Division work very seriously. It was through his efforts that the Joy Division Substance compilation was released 20 years ago, when Barney and Morris were seemingly indifferent. And, like it or loath it, he says that NO cannot exist without all 3 JD members, that, according to him, is the deal they made when carrying on after Curtis's suicide. He has principles.

  • totally ridiculous he can't even sing and play his lines at the same time and his vox are just an imitation of Ian's pfff ripoff!

  • @NigDub and other naysayers of Peter Hook playing songs from his OWN backcatalog finally after three decades.decades.Bet you never saw Ian Curtis sing. Just the movie "Control" and some videos. Otherwise you'd know the shambles that Joy Division concerts were.... Old School Joy Division / Warsaw / Stiff Kittens veterans say "Whatever newbs - don't preach to those who were there, We know you're wrong and without perspective."

  • @Satyagrahaha Yes I have not seen them live but my mother was a good personal friend of Ian and I have been listening to Joy division for lest say al of my live and I am a bass player my self so I think I'm inclined to an opinion.

  • @NigDub

Dude, not having a go or anything...but have you heard the track "They Walked in Line"? Theres 2 versions of it - the version on the "Still" album which has double-tracked vocals and loads of guitars, and theres the SAME version on disc 3 of the "Heart and Soul" boxset with very FEW guitars and only one vocal track...Hooky sung the other vocal track dueting with Ian - I say good on him for doing this...he's the ONLY one from New Order who COULD do this IMHO

  • @NigDub
