  • I could watch you guys all day.

  • can you guys explain delta and vmix in one of your episodes and why we need it ...and can we fly without it :)

  • Looks fun, but I think I will use a parkzone radian pro

  • I find it strange that someone who has only slope soared twice and clearly doesnt know what he is doing can be giving advice so freely.

  • Any replacement that can be bought if this item is out of stock as it is right now?? Just broken my prop!

  • please the next video we want to see you try parachuting out a plane from like 10000 feet...... oh and please we want to see you do it with the same level of expertise and state of the art equipment that you used to create this video . . . . actually on second thoughts i don't want to watch you die

  • Ok,

Seems like every new test fly that I see hobby King perform never goes that great.

But, is fun to watch. Not so much on how to fly but more like lets see if even he can fly it.

At least there prices are good.

  • These guys don't know what they are doing and give some very wrong advise about slope soaring. I've been doing it for 22 years and have never even heard some of the bad advise they give before.

  • Please do not do any more "How to" videos if you do not know "How to" do something. This is NOT the proper way to slope soar, most veterans could tell you that. First off, ditch you motor. On a good wind day with a newbie pilot you will never need the motor. Secondly, if you are a newb, you can take the plane further away from the cliff to find more stable air. If the wind is decent, you will find life 300yards or more upwind from the face. I'd type more but youtube is limiting me

  • I would really like to request that the next time you two decide to slope soar that you do it with a plane that is designed specifically for slope soaring, and maybe find a volunteer pilot that can fly the glider in a way that doesn't look unbelievable boring; because this is honestly a little pathetic and gives slope soaring a weak image. I respect that you acknowledged that you were new to slope soaring, but then what I don't understand is that you continue to try and explain it.

  • 4) Don't fly towards the slope until you are confident of your skill. When flying towards the slope, the model picks up speed and may be hard to control

    5) It's easier to land when doing it upwind (not with tailwind). Landing a glider with tailwind can b quite catastrophic

    6) Drop the motor!

  • Nice editing, and good presentation, but lacking a bit in information. If you're going to try and give tips to new slope pilots, you gotta know you're saying beforehand.

    1) Adding nose weight will make the plane unresponsive and difficult to fly

    2) I see you turn towards the cliff. For safety, and to get advantage of all the lift along the slope, do your turns towards the sea

    3) You are trying to fly slope too close to the cliff's lip. This will only cause you to get stuck in rotor

  • how NOT to slope soar........

  • Nice try...Both of you guys are real personable and that is great. However, some of the misinformation really demonstrates how "power" people don't really "get" slope soaring. Sorry...-PLA

  • The video itself is nicely done but is full of misinformation. 1) DO NOT ballast on the nose. That will make it nose heavy, less responsive, and handle like crap. 2) Get away from the ridge (cliff) you were way too close in. There is plenty of lift. General rule is that the lift band is half as thick as the hill is high. 3) Lose the motor. 4) It goes faster at the landing because you just dove in. Learn energy management. 5) Get an experienced slope pilot to help you next time. Best wishes :-)

  • pshhhh repelling gear

its easier to find a dumb friend

  • Are people really too lazy or stupid to just click 30 seconds into the vid. Simples

  • I like your intro!

  • Isnt flying electric eco-friendly lol

  • Perma-banned from Hobby King.

  • I bought something from Hobby King MONTHS ago and it STILL hasn't come! Not even a notice that they have shipped it!

  • Josh, why don't you give Josh an opportunity to do the whole flying, maybe the craft will land in one piece with nobody hurt?

  • tell anthony that some random HK fan on youtube named mrfourtysevenman says hi!

  • sex

  • now that the swordsman is fired, they have to find new ways of crashing hobbyking planes

  • lol - loved the abrupt landing. Sorry Anthony. :)

  • I am very spoilt where i live here in australia, I have many ocean slopes and inland mountain slopes within 15 minutes drive from home. Sloping is awesome, and with the inland slopes you can also get some good thermals..

  • @tjtg Hi Mate, I'm in Australia too, always looking for a good slope. Where are these slopes you're referring to?

  • @tjtg Hi Mate, I'm in Australia too, always looking for a good slope. Where are these slopes you're referring to? One of my favorites is Skennars Head and Lennox head (watch out for hang gliders though) in northern NSW.

  • @petedaws I fly mostly on the Sunshine Coast. The inland slopes are at Maleny or Montville and there is also a club at a place called bald knob. The coastal slopes are everywhere, Point Cartwright, Alexandra Headlands, Point Arkwright, Caloundra, Sunshine Beach, and the best is Rainbow Beach. I have also flown at Hastings Point in Northern NSW and Mt Tamborine on the Gold Coast. Do you have a Skua ??

  • The president is Cool!!! Send more planes please!!! :)

  • I'm still waiting for the official flite test soundtrack volume 1... your video guy makes such clean sick beats I need them for my flying sessions!!

seriously at least put a few of them up for download or purchase please!

  • You guys always break your planes :( wtf...

  • @rcFFBloodyMicks Oh yeah, the spongebob quotes are a recurring theme. Sometimes intentional, sometimes they just come out naturally.

  • Greta video, and thanks for the tips. As usual, I knew just just enough about to really screw some stuff up. Thanks for the gap fillers. :)

P.S. Was that seriously a SpongeBob quote? "Bring it around town" LOL!

    Tim

  • We flew at "Point Of The Mountian" in Utah, about 2 miles away from me. When you throw your plane off, there's about a 1500 foot drop off. Talk about scary. If you had to land down there you would have to watch the shadow of the plane to tell how close it was to the ground. Then you made the drive down to get your plane. I never had that happen, but saw it happen to a few people. Look it up, It's one of the worlds best sites for slope soaring for planes, hang/para gliders, etc.

  • I learned to sloap soar before I moved up to nitros. I figured if I destroyed a glider it was cheaper than a trainer plane. That was back in 1991. Big difference between the two.

  • wohooo new flite test!

  • I'm starting to get used to seeing you crash :-)

  • the intro is what made me subscribe... :-)

  • @DangerousDan666 Meh, it's starting to annoy me a bit as it's a full 31 seconds each and everytime and I've watched all their movies. :-p

Someone should post a skip to 0:31 comment each time.

  • @PHeMoX Or you could just click 0:31 on the navigation bar and stop being lazy.

  • @rcflight13 Yup, that's what I tend to do already.

  • @PHeMoX I like the intro, doesn't bother me

  • @Hanufan Well the contents itself certainly doesn't bother me much either except for the fact of having seen it already a good couple of times before, but as YouTube is getting more and more ads these days I really dislike having to wait yet another half a minute before the actual video starts. ;-)

I'm not complaining about the quality of the intro, which is definitely great.

  • @PHeMoX good job! but, i like the INTRO Mox and i think lot of people do

  • @benybeeJz Yes, it's of great quality indeed and very professional, but I've seen it so often that it has become a 31 sec waste of time for me. ;-)

  • nice video

only the second I've seen from you but after seeing the first one, I really like the intro, looks really professional. at least it is well done, looking forward to your next one

  • FIRST! I love the intro, looks really professional. Nice video also...
