@vcp430 .... Yes Don is playing in A. Don spent most of his career playing without a capo . HIs ability to play out of different keys and still fit in the same licks and runs played out of different positions was something else.
This is the pure stuff! Look at Don's right hand on his break, and listen to those G-runs that Red does on that D-45. Mac Magaha and John Palmer were really hitting those harmony parts. What a classic..........the pure bluegrass gold!!
