  • For anyone going the step further and replacing the water pump drive seal (that ususally leaks oil after replacing the WP) I have the tools available again for a fraction of the cost that Kent Moore sells them for. PM ME!

  • How has it ran with the dexcool? I've heard dexcool was a big issue with LT1 water pumps and intake/head gaskets. No personal experience, but was curious.

  • @Feenyxxx95 Hey, from the factory it has had Dexcool and its GM recommended to use dexcool... I have no problems at all... The problems happen when you mix dexcool with the green stuff! Hope this helps!

  • @PaintballOO7 ahhh yeah that's right, they started putting that in in 96. Ok well thats good to hear cause I had it in my 95 but swapped it back out when I heard about all the crazy talk. Its all probably just lawyers trying to get paid. Anyway, besides all that, great vid on the install. Clean detailed and informative for those in need.

  • hi how did you take the Driveshaft Coupler Connector off

  • @orenkrief you just pull it off with your finger... It its stuck on there spray some wd40 or liquid wrench and then try!

  • Nice clean engine!

  • @rid3r28 no prob, hopefully it was useful!

  • niceeeee

  • Great Video! What did you use, some kind of head mounted camera?

Just so you know the mixing of green Prestone antifreeze and Dexcool isn't really isn't an issue any longer. They reformulated the green shit a few years ago so it doesn't cause all of the problems it once did with the brown sludge.

    Weav

  • @Wevsvet Thanks... I used a tripod for some shots and I just used my hands for the other shots... Figured since I was changing out the water pump I would make a video on how to do it!
