  • you guys realize this information is in the manual. I dont know if they changed the book or what but its written right at the underneath the part about the pins.

  • Thank you! I gave up breaking down my supernova for this very same reason, thanks!!

  • This was my main reason for trading my pistol grip for a regular stock

  • Thanks a lot Tommy. Excellent Video. Got the same problem with the Pistol Grip.

  • You are the man brother! God bless you! I almost throw the stupid gun through the window yesterday trying to disassemble it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • DUDE! You are my hero. I spent a fuckin hour trying to get the trigger assembly out and i even started to try to pry it and it kept getting fucking stuck. This worked good! Too bad i scuffed the shit out of my gun and now it looks all fucked up on the edges of the assembly. Benelli really needs to get their shit together and be aware of this issue. thanks again for the video dude. :)

  • @xXDeathClutchPwnXx No problem man it took me days to figure it out so I thought it would help others out.

  • @TOMMYGUNZ170 i dont have a vid but i can send you a link.

  • Hey man, I have a supernova, black, 28' barrel. Could I replace my comfortech stock with a pistol grip or is there any actually difference in the tactical configuration in the models(I dont think so). Hit me back if you can help me out with this. Thanks!

PS. How do you like the pistol grip? I will be hunting mostly with this gun for dove, duck, and deer. Would it still feel right you think? Cause it looks cool as shit.

  • @DEACONAP4LOVE as far as i know you should be able to replace your stock with a pistol grip that would be the only difference between the two but if your going to use it for hunting id leave it as is...

  • You do not need a gun smith experience to break down the bolt assembly....very simple to do.

  • Thanks a lots bro, i just got one and id swear god to remove the trigger things ..... nice video thanks......

  • how long is the barrel?

  • Next time, try sliding the forearm half way, then remove barrel. Remove pins. then slide forearm all the way forward. Then trigger assembly should come out. I think the reason your trigger gaurd isn't comming out is cause the trigger gauard runs underneath the forearm. Watch EdMachi's video "Benelli Supernova disassembly"

  • @perryanthony Nah The trigger guard wasnt comming out because of the pistol grip it gets in the way..but thanks anyway i got it all figured out now. But I will try it your way to see if it makes it easier..

  • did you buy the pistol grip separately or did it come with and if so how much? I got my supernova for 460 w/o a pistol grip but im looking into one

  • @Smokekillaforilla843 mine came with a pistol grip I got the whole gun for about $500 bucks out the door......

  • @TOMMYGUNZ170 nice wish i coulda found one with the grip. is your pistolgrip the steady grip w/ comfortech model?

  • @Smokekillaforilla843 Yes it has the steady grip it I acually had this gun ordered it took a few weeks but it was worth the wait they are tough too find but most dealers dont have them in stock.

  • @TOMMYGUNZ170 is there a website that you recommend?

  • @Smokekillaforilla843 gunbroker or guns america gun genie may have some

  • Great video! I could remove the barrel and was stuck. Benelli customer service was not very helpful. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Nice trick on the pins too. Shoot safe and often.

  • Thanx man im glad i could help

  • Thank god someone posted this video - I bought my Supernova two days ago and spent almost a full hour trying to figure out how to pull the trigger assembly. I emailed Benelli about it, but they still havent gotten back to me... useless.

Looks like its time for a little note in the manual, huh?

  • yep they need to update it big time i spent about two days on it my self drove me nuts i feel ur pain...LOL

  • Awsome video, man. Just one question though. How do I remove the butt-pad? Do I just pull it off somehow? I just got my SuperNova yesterday, and I haven't found any details on how to remove the pad. And I've been reluctant to try anything with it, out of fear of damaging it.

  • you won't damage it just pull up on one end as hard as you can it should just come right off its wedged in there pretty tight hope this helps.....

  • I had the same problem with my Benelli Super Nova Tactical with ghost ring sights and pistol grip. I followed the manual and I could not remove the trigger assembly. I thought well since the stock is removable I'll take it off to see if that is what is holding it on. Sure enough after removing the stock, the trigger assembly came right out.

Thanks for posting the video it will help a lot of future Benelli Super Nova owners!

  • yea they need to update that manual.

  • Nice walkthrough, but I wish I would've seen this before I figured it out. I was stumped for a bit, and actually just put the shotgun away for about a week before taking it out and trying again. Then I read somewhere about the whole buttstock thing, and it all worked out. This will probably help out a bunch of people though.

  • Thanx man glad it helped somone......

  • I actually just purchased the exact same gun here. Have you been able to find a rifled barrel for your gun because everyone keeps saying that benelli stopped making the rifled barrels for the supernova, so the ones that are left are overpriced and normally as much of the gun itself. I actually got my supernova for $379 and ive been looking around and a rifled barrel is about $400.

  • I have been looking for a rifled barrel and can't seem to find one thats affordable...i was told that i would be able to shoot rifled slugs with my gun but i havent yet not 100% sure what have you heard?

  • First of all, congrats on your Supernova. You don't need a rifled barrel unless you intent to use sabot slugs. Sabot slugs are for hunting deer and other animals past 200 yards. You can use rifled slugs through the barrel you have now. The only thing is that you use either a cylinder choke tube or an improved cylinder choke tube in the barrel. While technically you can use a modified choke tube it is not recommended, I've experienced stuck tubes and more debris coming back at me.

  • Thank you so much for that info im glad to know that i can shoot slugs with the barrel i have. 1 question since you say it is not recommended that i shot slugs with the modified choke tubes would it harm the gun if i shoot it with no choketube..????? thanks again

  • From what I've read you can corrode or warp the threads of the choke tube area by firing any round without a choke tube installed. Slugs will do it faster because its lead composition rubs against the walls of the barrel unlike bird or buck shot which is contained in a shot cup which prevents the shot and the barrel walls from coming into contact with each other.

  • Thanks bud!

  • disassemble the bolt assembly every other time you go out shooting to clean the firing pin and the spring.

Squeeze the bolt assembly and on the side there is a little pin (felt like plastic) you can just pull it out using your finger nail and the firing pin along with the spring should come out. To assemble, reverse the steps. put the springs on the firing pin, put it back in the bolt assembly and while squeezing the bolt assembly, squeeze & put the little pin back. Hope that helps.

  • Thanks man appreicate it

  • hey a word to the wifey wize blanket to prevent table scratches lol! wifey will have your head for dinner lol.
