  • Yo, try this out. Take your poached balls out when done & make gravy out of the broth (add cornstarch). Toast 2 slices of bread with some mozzarella on top of one.

    -To build; plain toast down, some gravy, 2 balls smash'um, some more gravy, lid cheese side down, add yup s'more gravy. Fork & knife.

    Good & easy last meal for drunk friends. They'll eat that & pass the fuck out!

  • Yea grandma's know. I think she let's the meatball or meatloaf mix set for a while so the flavor's blend a bit. Then she adds milk later if it seem's dry. She can tell.

  • Can you say how it's diffrent to mix the bread crumbs into egg and milk as apposed to putting eggs and crumbs seperate into the meat, then mixing? Faster maybe? (it's your way) haha

  • The crumbs have time to 'swell' the way I'm doing it. Moister ball. If u toss crumbs in then an egg and milk, by the time it's mixed, the meat is too tight or the crumbs won't soak up all the moisture.

I make mine very similar in a huge batch then freeze 'em up in little bags o' six or so for future use with sghetti or sandwiches or what have you. I also like to throw some Parmesan IN with the meat but I can't afford the good stuff :( Strickly a green can man here.. I'M a BUM!!! haha.

    Sometimes when I do these, I use ground chuck and instead of bread crumbs, I'll use Ritz crackers. The Ritz give it a little sweetness. Oatmeal works good too, but I mostly use it for meatloaf.
