If you are able to tell the difference between hardware and software problems,
Apple is having the manufacturing problem and the other computer manufactures aren't as noticeable due to their greater product line. It has nothing to with Windows but nice thinking. I've never had Leopard crash, but Snow leopard crashes like crazy.
Macs are more hardware efficient, Windows 7 is better than Snow Leopard.
I have the same problem with my toshiba lap top, it turns on lastest a good while like I dunno an hour or 2 and then it turns off sometimes with a very unpleasent poping
Macs don't crash!, no, they "randomly power off"... lol, sill waiting for my MacBook to arrive -.-, a good AU$2,069 gone into a laptop... i'll sue laptop if it arrives broken, lol. jk jk. seriously, i've read so many horror stories about apple service... i'm scared
it has to do with your firewire,to get it fixed go to apple's site and click store and on the right bar it will give you options like TOP DOWNLOADS,TOP WIDJETS and stuff
He;s right, there is a Service Update, some macs have the thermal protection wire too close to the radiator, hence it shuts down. Send the mac back to get replaced. It is an overheating or the comp things it
I wouldn't call that randomly cause it was pretty much every time and you were able to reproduce it very easily which you can't with something that happens randomly. Make an intensive hardware check. Like someone else said: did you add ram to your computer?
Did you get extra RAM installed when you bought your macbook? I had a similar problem when I bought my Powerbook a couple of years ago and it turned out to be a bad stick of RAM.
i have the same laptop and mine does the same thing. I just sent if back to Apple for repair today. What happened with your laptop? did you resolve the problem?
yes, he had thought it had turned off , but what really happened is it had gone into sleep mode, and his was booted up already, it didnt turn off booting up like this one did
looks like a hardware fault. disappointing i know, but the best thing to do is to ring Apple and tell them the laptop is DOA (dead on arrival). This looks like a hardware fault.
the problem is the battery switch sleep sensor, try it without the battery plugged in
