  • Skynets just watching to see how its done...

  • Use the Davinici on the staff cleaning crew.

    The guy is filming!

  • I love this shit. I love science. Thanks for being intellectual giants and inventing stuff like that to save our lives when our own stupidity got us tumors and broken bones!

  • how do you see how deep your cutting into the grape!?!? without your hands how do you know?

  • hey dude, is that some training for students and medics that use this machine? like "bah have an free hour, i'm going practice" than with creativity you create an exercise and do it? other thing, this robot has force feedback? like you can feel that you are pulling the skin of the grape

  • well done but it took you 10 min to peel 1/5 or so of the grape... This machine needs alot more developing to be of any good use...

  • Just had surgery, and this was the robot used, my scars are already so small.

  • Will you be putting him on immune suppresents?

  • THATS STUPID!

  • Was the grape able to go home the same day?

  • Just had surgery via davinci...the pain is WAY less thn other open surgerys.;;;))) feel blessed w the advances of technology!!!! I have had 2csections-gastric-so I knw pain

  • TRAINING INSTRUMENT: NOT FOR HUMAN USE

  • I could do a better job at peeling that grape than that robot.

  • Does someone actually control this or is it somehow working on it's own? Sorry, I just happened to stumble on this video. I do not know anything about it.

  • It's the latest in male-torturing technology!

  • WOW!! Almost 50k views. thank you all so much for watching and commenting....this was the first time in the world that a grape was peeled using the Da Vinci..... It was an idea I had whilst in theatre of how we could show case the robot on The Late Late show in Ireland and give the viewers a good understanding of what it can do. I actually got this grape from the coffee shop within the hospital when we had finished the day’s list and this video is the first attempt I made at it.

  • @walshcat1 THAT MACHINE NEEDS A 3D CAMERA FOR DEPTH PERCEPTION. and i need to watch caps lock

  • Am I the only one who found this adorable?

  • @AdamLambertAddict96 I mean... it's so cute and little...

  • Nearly ten minutes, and not even close to fully peeled. Damn good effort though :) I tried a lacroscopy testing machine once; failed miserably at a very simple task. Now I understand how surgery can last for 10+ hours.

  • I can do this with my teeth.

  • talk about precision! O_O

  • This looks hard. Your left arm could use way more practice considering you punctured the grape several times unintentionaly.

  • This could be your testicle! SIGN UP NOW!

  • The Future has arrived. Do you want to become part of it?

  • why am i here

  • How long do you think it would take for a regular person with no medical education to learn how to operate that thing?

  • @inricheetos Not long at all, my robotics team went to a demonstration with this robot, and they let us use the robot and it was so simple, I became a pro pretend surgeon in minutes. On a side note, after being able to use this I finally decided that I wanted to make machines like this for a living, just a little tidbit of info there :D

  • @inricheetos Depends on your gaming experince :P But seriously, learning to handle the machine will go fast, it is learning what is the approriate thing to do that will take long time.

  • hope it has force feedback..

  • That is hard if you ask me

  • ..and now to look at the one for sacrocolpopexy for vaginal prolapse..

  • First Fail at 1:56... on mi opinion!! look the very beginining and compare with 1:56

  • @MrSinghsays ok ... thats kinda cool :D

  • กำลังหัดใช้แน่เรยยย อิอิ

  • thats one big grape

  • it looks pretty gross up front.

  • why pealing s grape? unnecessary!

  • this feels like a vasectomy

  • yum-yum

  • This robot will cut through your plump skin as it does with this plump grape. I'm a little scared, but awed.

  • this is crazy.. that machine is very precise.

  • By the 5th minute, I would of been frustrated and annoyed by the stupid grape and hearing the people in the background slam things around. I would of screamed my head off.

  • does it really take nearly 10 minutes to peal a stupid grape?

  • some ones being bummed in the background

  • this is fucking disgusting

  • hope the grape recovered well

  • @daniel246 It did... NOT. mjam mjam

  • oh wth?!?!? lol

  • whats that BANG sound in the background?

  • whats that BANG sound in the background?

  • I could do that with my hands and in shorter time too!!

  • The machine itself is amazing though, think whats coming down the road. Machines allowing you to play with atomic structure like this and more.

  • Try not to record in the presence of monkeys throwing marbles next time.

  • Comment removed

  • thats machine is worth 1.4 million dollars

  • well....there goes my job as a surgical tech!!!!

  • If you guys didn't hear it already, the grape was practically screaming

    "KILL ME ALREADY!!"

  • @DarrenDiAntonio lol, nice one

  • this is soooo amazing but i have to ask... why would you want to peel a grape!?!? :D

  • Nice way of spening some money, 2,4 mln euro for stripping a grape. Who want it cheaper can contact me (maximum of 500 grapes a day).

  • @112rockstar112 thats a training robot so the surgeon wont fuck up when he's working on you

  • in like a minute i would already be stabbing the grape of fustration, but hey reall cool man:D

  • Soo clumsy robot. Actual robot is a human. You controlling this mechanical arms.

  • amazing, but could do without that ridiculous beeping in the background

  • its a working theatre and thats the sound of the anaesthetic machine

  • @walshcat1 naturally the grape would have to have been rendered unconscious for the procedure

  • @walshcat1 How much anesthesia did the grape require? :-)

  • @opaman369 considering how sound isn't really necessary at all to appreciate this video, you could have just as easily hit the mute button instead of complaining

  • very impressing

  • i read report that the da vinci uses stereoscopic camera's to allow the surgeon and assistants to see in Hi Resolution depth perception. Are there any youtube videos illustrating what the De Vinci procedure looks like in stereoscopic vision. Please let me know where. Thanks.

  • Yes, starts at :43 here /watch?v=gWtfApaTFGY

  • i wonder how powerful the arms are

  • @firereaper1 They can run a huge voltage charge through each of the three arms, which cauterize as they cut, its very awesome.

  • what is all that noise?

  • its the anaesthetic machine and the staff cleaning up after a case

  • @iceee187 Its R2-D2!

    :-D

  • СооL!)))

  • ok now - if you manage to saw it back I will say that you are the best.

  • wow. that is amazing.
