  • I have been thinking about this song all day!

  • Jesus looks like whatever you want him to look like. If you see him in your image then you are thinking right. How much imagination do you have? Thanks for a personnel rundown Grooveking. Sandra Crouch ect....... I like this classic.

  • This song is so pretty, love Andrae and his choir. It also reminds me of MJ because they sang the background vocals for Man in the Mirror and Keep the faith on the Dangerous album.

  • i think its TaTa Vega singing that high voice

  • Wow - one of my favorite songs by Andrae!

  • I grew up listening to this song I remember when it came out, this was so contraversial at the time, cause its contemp. christian music, many at the time thought it was tooooo wordly....lol.... THANKS FOR BLESSING ME WITH THIS SONG, IT TOOK ME WAY BACK TO MY MIDDLE SCHOOL DAYS

  • Luellen, you asked me in 1979 to always think of you when i hear this song, and then you passed away a few months later, have done what you said, everytime i hear this i think about you, you were a beautiful young lady taken away in your 20's, God must have needed you more than we did. I still love you, and can't wait to see you in heaven.

  • Love this song -- Krystle's voice is so pure. BTW, Stevie Wonder on harmonica.

  • I always loved this song...

  • Oh my goodness! I remember as a little kid, my family had this album on 8-track. This was one of my favorites right up there with Take Me Back, and Going to See The King. Thanks for sharing - God Bess!

  • YAAAY!!! I found/bought this LP about the same time u posted this...GOOD JOB!!!

  • I would like someone to make the lyrics appear karoke style. The troops really like those. They can sing along.

  • I just got finish reading the Memorial Parsha of Balak, and judgement was executed by death. This is so amazing how much grace and annointing we abound in Numbers 25:4

  • this song makes me think of my friend monica who passed away a few months ago,its still hard to believe shes gone, this world is a lesser place without her.miss you.

  • Hey GK1DJ, This is by far the best quality rendition of the song! How about a version without the blond- haired blue-eyed, non-Hebrew looking guy? Pastor Andrae kicks it with brothers of the lighter persuasion, but I don't think he would mind more contemporary slides accompanying this song; it could draw more souls in.

    (just a thought)

  • Bless you and thanks!!! lol

  • @aarontsanderlin

I'v been looking for this song for 20yrs!

I agree with you.It would be great if Jesus was portrayed as his origin along with the soulful song of praise.

  • @aarontsanderlin How incredible that even in Praise music videos racist comments still continue to exist. How sad. You need to repent of your racism against white people. Seek Jesus and repent

  • @ChowHallCommando :Thanks for your touching appeal. As you seek Jesus Christ; do a history and geography STUDY. (".. to show yourself approved unto God..") You may be surprised to find that Jesus of Nazareth wasn't of Anglo-Saxon descent. No historical records attest of him having blonde hair & blue eyes. Depictions of Jesus with those features are as ridiculous as a portrait of Andrae Crouch with blonde hair, fair skin & blue eyes. (Is THAT a racist statement?) God bless. I'llbethnkinofyou (-:

  • @aarontsanderlin As a Jew, I am very well aware that Yeshua was not an anglo, nor was he african. He was a mediterranean semite of the lineage of Ha Melech Dovid. The remark was to conunter the racist undertones of your comment. Probably a result of years of habitual thought patterns you were subjected too. Anyone with the least bit of knowledge would know that these were just painting by europeans who had no idea of what Jesus looked like since the camera did not exist in 1st century Galilee

  • @ChowHallCommando Wall scrawlings in prehistoric caves aren't accurate depictions either, that's why, "anyone with the least bit of knowledge" doesn't defend their usage in portraying specific historic figures. To paraphrase Peggy McIntosh, racism also exists in, "invisible systems conferring dominance on (a specific) group." Those 'paintings' infer that he was not a semite. My original remarks still stand: Its ok, even crucial, to show Jesus as accurately as possible. L'chaim, brother!

  • @aarontsanderlin Yeah,keep dreaming

  • @ChowHallCommando Great response!!

  • @aarontsanderlin Yeah. I'm getting really sick of "white" Jesus. There never has been nor ever will be.

  • @aarontsanderlin Shouldn't Jesus be enough to "draw more souls in"?

  • I played this album to death.Oh what fond, precious memories. Thank you.

  • ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS ...EVER

  • yes it is!!!!!! masterpiece!!!!

  • A female friend sent the words of this song to me in a letter (long time ago, no one writes anymore) anyway, everytime I play this song I think of her. Hope you are doing well Janice (Janis).

  • no it is a wonderful woman name Kristle murden and she is awesome still..

  • I have been looking for this song since forever!! My Mom (R.I.P) used to play this incessantly when I was a child.

Is that Vanessa Bell Armstrong singing along with him?

  • it was sis Sandra... bless ya Backing Vocals - Bea Carr , Howard McCrary , Howard Smith , James Felix , Kathy Hazzard , Perry Morgan , Phyllis St. James , Sandra Crouch Bass - Leland Sklar Drums, Percussion - Bill Maxwell Guitar - Dean Parks , Hadley Hockensmith , Larry Carlton Harmonica - Stevie Wonder Keyboards - Joe Sample Keyboards, Arranged By - Harlan Rogers Keyboards, Lead Vocals, Arranged By - Andraé Crouch Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals - Kristle Murden Percussion - Kenneth Nash
  • WOW!!!! I did not know that Stevie Wonder and Joe Sample were part of this beautiful track.

  • @Grooveking1DJ ...nope not Sandra. Crystal.

  • @Grooveking1DJ The lead on this song was performed by Kristle Murden. This song launched her solo project "Can't Let Go"

  • @Grooveking1DJ It is Kristle Murden, from Washington D.C. who went on to write and arrange her own Grammy Nominated album, I Can't Let Go, shortly after her work on this song.

  • I'm not sure, but I think it's Daniebelle Hall. I looked it up online yesterday. In Yahoo Music it listed Daniebelle as a soloist. Then I downloaded the MP3 from Amazon. One of the most underrated songs ever released.

  • Hey, i wanna thank you, lol.... bless, keep in touch!!!

  • @kneosoul : The lead vocalist on this recording is Krystal Murden Daniebelle might have performed it live when they toured.

  • @leesterg ...Exactly right.

  • That was Krystal Murden (Edwards). She came out with a solo record later on, but usually sang background with Andrae. Look up her music. Daniebelle Hall was great in her own right. It was sad I found out she passed away.

  • @kneosoul

This is My god mother Kristle Murden singing this duet.

She is coming out with her new album really soon

  • Comment removed

  • @FLOSUNSHINE

    That is Krystal Murden

  • You made him lord over the works of Your hands; You put everything under his feet: all the sheep and oxen, as well as animals in the wild, birds of the sky, and fish of the sea passing through the currents of the seas. LORD, our Lord, how magnificent is Your name throughout the earth! Psalm 8

  • When I observe Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You set in place, what is man that You remember him, the son of man that You look after him? You made him little less than God and crowned him with glory and honour.
