it ain't bad. its aight. i must admit though, i do very much like the original better. conor oberst's voice is a bit more powerful and heavier and more.... what do you call it? velvety. which, imo, is better for this song.

Sounds great! I like it all, except the guitar tone, do you use some kind of internal mic? I think you should try a condenser and maybe it'll turn out even better. Keep it up!

Yes I use an internal mic to record the guitar... I think something is broken there... if i play loud or even just strum normal it overdrives... and this guitar is only 1 year old and was VERY expensive (>2k EUR) I have another western guitar where I've put a internal mic in by myself and it sounds so much better... But I thought a concert guitar would fit better to this song ;)

Ah yes, how could you guess that I adore Bright Eyes? I aspire to be like Conor Oberst. I only own every album ;) Anyways, great cover, your voice is similar to Conor's, but at the same time unique. It gives the song a new twist, and I like. However, I would love to see you actually sing this song! Or see your face in the video!

I also watch videos in English and listenning a lot music. the videos I see are easly to understand without subtitles (like Saw or Life Is Beautiful), but sometimes they talk so fast or there are strange words that do not know what they mean. the same goes for some songs. usually I understand English, but I dont know how to speak very well. I never know how to form a sentence because of tenses or rules of agreement.

I have to comment twice, I never noticed that I talk that much. sorry :S

hey, it's good training! And it's no problem if you make some mistakes, I think I do them all of the time ;) I have kind of the same problem with speaking english, I'm not used to it. I understand most of the things I hear, even the complicated stuff, but when I try to build a simple senctence it's becoming frustrating...

But that's why you have to do it: In the beginning everything is difficult... Same with music, people kept telling me that I suck and that I should stop trying but I'll never.

for a foreign you speak very well in my opinion. It's funny how noadays we can speak inglish cause if you just speak german and if I only speak portuguese we can't understand each other and have a good talk. :)

people also said that conor oberst couldn't sing and would not have a future as a musician and look at it now :P

I'm a huge conor oberst fan and this is one of my favorite songs. I like your version, especially your playing. I do think you need to work on completing the phrases a little bit. For example in the beginning it sounded more like milk "thist". But overall, really solid job. Thanks for sharing it. :)
