Well basically the only difference would be R4i's are compatible with DSi and the other R4's are not. Also R4i's are more expensive.

So if you only have a DS Lite it would be better if you just get an R4.

Such as the R4 SDHC in this video.

just one question tho, do you know how to patch games? some of my roms wont work on it like sonic sega collection for example

No sorry man. All my roms I've downloaded work fine so I don't know what to do if they don't.

My advice would be to just download another rom of that game and hope it works.

@NOOBEPICASSO Hey, the R4i gold v2 you got has aito-dldi patching (hope this helps) also, check the official r4igold websites for new firmwares, it increases rom-compatibility L)
