  • 11: "Imagine you were dying. Imagine you were afraid, and a long way from home and in terrible pain. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, you looked up and saw the face of the devil himself..."

10: "Bitch please, I fought the devil and won!"

  • Best part is right after when the Doctor drops the dalek eyepiece on the bar and the bartender looks like he just shit bricks

  • What's up doc?

  • you cant have seen that many episodes of doctor who if you think that is is the coolest scene...

  • @revels95 Everyone has their opinion. I don't know about coolest, but this is a favorite moment of mine if you include the scene at the bar as well.

  • what episode is this in? what season also?

  • @kingsinorex6 finale of series 6 the wedding of river song

  • There's cooler scenes tbh like the Pandorica speech or the tenth Doctor's regeneration.

  • I don' t see why everyone pisses about this scene... it's almost as bad as Three shooting those Ogrons :P seriously, all he did was spout some spooky jabber at the Dalek - no worse than his usual fare - and open the Daleks HEAD

for crying in the bucket the Dalek Mutant isn't even IN the head :P he just got at the data core. Mr. Dalek is fine people... his friends found him and there was a happy ending with scones and cake

    jeeze...

  • @2Scribble Apart from the part where the doctor used the eyestalk of the dalek to impress people, indicating he's dead, you are right.

  • @Prinsgezindepatriot

Is that what that was? *facepalm at self

  • @2Scribble Ppl got upset about this scene. quite apart from it being cool, why is this any worse I mean the Doctor has mass murdered Daleks and here he doesn't even hurt it. he doesn't save its life or help it but its not like he kills it

  • What colour daleks this

  • I Loved This Scene Aswell And I Read How They Made This Brokken Dalek In Doctor Who Adventures Magazine

  • yeah. no. Glad you said possibly. Nothing in the Moffat Era (error) can be the coolest ever scene. Moffat and Smith should leave. They stink.

  • @ridernotlook Goddammit. If you really hate the show so much, stop watching it. How much time do you plan on wasting by leaving hateful comments on every Doctor Who video post series four? Not that I don't partially agree with you, but by god, shut up.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, that's cool. If you like the Doctor being a fucking cunt.

  • what do the darleks know about silence?...

    NOTHING!

    there just to noisy!

  • @Howerworm daKEK. not daRKEK.

  • @kpo987 daLEK not daKEK or daRKEK.

  • @Howerworm LOL

  • I wonder why the Daleks are sounding more like the Cybermen?

  • Comment removed

  • 0:18 is he talking about sopa pipa and acta?

  • I've always thought that the Doctor was talking about himself being "in pain" and "a long way from home" and upon meeting the Dalek he refers to that encounter as "the Devil himself"...just a thought

  • hi when is doctor who back on im getting confused lol

  • @me1648 Doctor Who will be back this Autumn.

  • Poor Dalek :'(

  • @writer15131 We do not cry for Dalek....

  • @TheNorthernMike77 I do! I like just about everyone in Doctor Who. I like The Doctor, most of his companions, The Master, the Daleks, the Cybermen, the Silurians, the vampires, the...most aliens, Captain Jack, everyone else I didn't say. However, I don't like Harriett Jones the former Prime Minister, Lord President, very few alien species, Lucy Saxon, and Rose.

  • you realize that the Doctor regenerates at the oldest to youngest?

    too strong "The Doctor"

  • @fabriziocentra The best part of this scene had to be pointed out to me: The Doctor is describing himself as much as the Dalek.

  • Please amend the title to: Possibly the coolest scene in Nu-hu

You only considered Nu-hu, so you can't say it was the coolest of the ENTIRE series.

  • @LegoDaleks oh shut up

  • @SmileChicky Ha ha, good one.

  • @LegoDaleks That's why it says "Possibly".

  • @mowingthefrontlawn In which the Dr peels the top of a Dalek off & sticks his wang inside - that isn't even "possibly" the coolest scene in the world's longest running sci-fi programme.

  • @LegoDaleks Not for me either, but maybe it could be for someone else. The uploader seems to have liked it a lot.

  • The way he talks so softly at the beginning there...I could listen to him talk like that all day...

  • wonderful...

  • @TheValeyard92 As English is not my first language, I will sometimes writes things that have a negative meaning that I am not aware of. To ask people to "just shut up" is a sign of weakness in my eyes. Your opinion is interesting, and you are right about the killing thingy. But as we all saw in "the waters of mars" the doctor is not perfect. BTW, In the wedding of river song, all of history happened at once (churchill still alive, teh roman empire still there.)

  • @Prinsgezindepatriot I apologise for misinterpreting what you said. I did not realise.

I know what happened in TWoRS, but my point was he didn't definitively wipe out the Silence in it. A couple got shot when they were attacking Amy et al, but it wasn't a wholesale slaughter.

  • @TheValeyard92 "you should kill us all on sight". The human race was programmed by the doctor to detroy the silents. I mean... thats cruel.

  • @Prinsgezindepatriot True. But that was in Day of the Moon. And to be honest, I didn't really agree with that either. Not least for the fact the Silence... well... didn't seem that evil.

Ok, I know they kidnapped a girl and killed a lady in a toilet - y'know the shorthand way of showing someone is evil - but if they really had "ruled humanity since the wheel and the fire" and humanity was progressing more-or-less just fine and dandy, that's hardly the mark of an oppressive regime, is it?

  • @TheValeyard92 It seems we have reached agreement. very well. If only political leaders could do the same.

    Kind regards, P.P.

  • @Prinsgezindepatriot PS: Before anyone tells me, I knoe the Silence WERE evil, I'm just saying it wasn't shown very well.

  • @TheValeyard92 and as for the time war... well the Time Lords were about to (thats ABOUT to... not were potentially going to) destroy everything.

Another thing about the time war. Remorse after the deed... He even shows that in Rise of the Cybermen for goddness' sake.

  • Best line : hello dalek

  • i think the doctor ment hisself when he said: you look up, and see the devil his face.

  • @daniquelovesaskia21 Thanks captain obvious ;D

  • @maatoon your welcome ;)

  • i wonder what the dalek was doing there

  • and this is why Matt Smith is the doctor!

  • "Ohai Docto....HEY WAIT A MINUTE D:"

  • OH MY GOSH. I got top comment. Mwhahaha.

  • @RentedOdin766 aaaand I'm on my brother's account. Ugh. This is PhoenixWormwood... just for the record...

  • did he just rip off the dalek's head?

  • @SpectraPyrus nah, daleks are small creatures, the body we know are armors

    dalekavion . deviantart . com/art/Daleks-Loud-and-Proud-277325305?q=boost%3Apopular%20daleks&qo=40

  • Why is this the coolest DW scene ever?

  • The Doctor: Pacifist who views violence as a last resort (1963 - bar one incident - to 2010)

The Doctor: Intergalactic murderer who kills in cold blood to make a point and get information (2011 onwards).

  • @TheValeyard92 3rd Doctor - randomly uses martial arts not as a last resort? Deduction - somebody hasn't been watching Who properly.

  • @TheValeyard92 finaly XD

  • Or more recently, David Tennant was amazing as the Doctor and to his credit he always gavethe villain a chance, even offering to displace them with full accomodations to prevent them from preying on innocent lives or even avoiding a fight altogether- yet if they persist in doing harm onto others he will resort to lethal means to neutralize them with the justification of "whatever happens next is YOUR doing, not mine." Smith's Doctor follows in this fashion but it's mostly off screen or implied.

  • @hubris777 Agrred... in fact I think Tennant took it a little too far the other way, personally. Just an opinion :)

Again, though, the justified destruction of an invading force (Seeds of Death, Poison Sky, etc etc) is not the same as killing to make a point or killing because you want something from someone (A Good Man Goes to War, Wedding of River Song).

That's how gangsters operate, not the Doctor.

  • @TheValeyard92 Dont make a fuzz, the doctor isn't really a mass murderer. at least, not from 2011 onward. The cybermen are already dead, so destroying a ship full of them doesnt really kill anyone, he saves lives. Daleks wan't to kill everything, so killing them is a form of self defence. And if he is a genocidal maniac, he became so in the last second of the time war, when he destroyed gallifrey.

  • Wth? This is totally the *lead up* to one of the coolest Doctor scenes ever... Where's the good part??

The Doctor: Gideon Vandaleur. Get him. Now.

Blue Bartender: Who says he's here?

[The raucaus clang of heavy steel rings out as the Doctor drops a Dalek's eye-stalk on the bar.]

[Blue Barkeep looks terrified, cut to next scene.]

  • /agree

  • love this because what the doctor is saying does not only apply to the dalek, but to him too

  • I want to like Matt Smith (and I do like him A LOT more than the Eccleston)...but David Tennant really set the bar high. Even though this is, like James Bond, a role that's been played by many actors over the years, David did what few can do by truly making the role HIS. I always felt that Tom Baker was the best doctor, but I really believe that Tennant surpassed him. Doctor Who is David Tennant. Sorry Matt, it's not you, it would have been hard for anyone to follow DT10.

  • @nWo24life wrong wrong wrong wrong. matt smith is the doctor, possibly surpassing tom baker the same way daniel craig is surpassing connery. fact.

  • This is one of the few times I liked Eleven.

  • Awesome. That is all.

  • Which episode is this?

  • @TaylorTerlizzese the wedding of river song

  • @TaylorTerlizzese how can you have NOT seen this episode?

  • To the daleks he is the devil. To the timelords well... I'll let you guess.

  • Where can I watch the new episodes that aren't on netflix? Anyone know?

  • @OptiSD online

  • @thedoctoronfacebook not any more... four words:

    SOPA

  • @theEddieworld SOPA failed trust me i've been following it but your right plus PIPA and ACTA which are still around but wit PIPE is basically SOPA's reincarnation which since SOPA di not pass then i think PIPA will fail and if ACTA passes guess what i dont give a fuck i only download/watch Doctor Who wich is a public domain but nice to know some people undersand SOPA cheers

  • @thedoctoronfacebook it got rid of megavideo and megaupload and xepisodes!!!!

the bill didn't pass but they still have power!

  • @theEddieworld actualy, the website I use is british so it is not on the list of sites that will go down if sopa and pipa are pased :)

  • @theEddieworld SOPA didn't pass.

  • @thedoctoronfacebook you cant find them one megavideo, videobb, videozer or something similar. those are the websites I used and now they are gone... videobb and the other (not megavideo) had awesome quality... it's a shame really

  • @pinkykhan464 alas, megavideo has been taken down... This is just a predeccesor of what is to come when the American Senate votes yes for SOPA.

  • @Prinsgezindepatriot I think SOPA was put off for a while. Though there is ACTA too... it has been signed in a few european countries already but until the congress makes its decision it wont really be put in effect.

  • @OptiSD letmewatchthis(.)com ..... it awesome

  • @OptiSD Look up Watchseries Doctor Who andd then there will be a list of episodes from season 1 on (: I love it

  • @Ancel4 Well, yeah I would torrent alot of things. But the things I like I buy. Like Doctor WHo.

  • @OptiSD you can use bit lord or pirates bay

  • @OptiSD iTunes.

  • @OptiSD yourtvseries.eu/series/doctor-who/

  • I like this scene because it reminds us that the Doctor also has a bitter, cruel streak.

  • @MollyandMadie Galifrey isn't a country, it's a planet. Doctor Who is an alien.

  • @AvleyPlenstion Who's Doctor Who?

The Doctor, on the other hand, is also an alien.

  • I am so proud of doctor who! It's ok dont thank me for it, but i mean I CAME FROM THE SAME COUNTRY AS HIMMMMMMM :DDDDDDDDDDD like this if it is true for you to :)

  • @MollyAndMadie You're from Gallifrey?

  • @MollyAndMadie England? Or Wild Endeavour...

  • When Doctor Who came out in the 60s, New Zealand was the first country outside of the uk to broadcast Doctor Who on tv , Yay!

  • Reminds me of when The Doctor actually met the Devil himself.

  • @Texan315 with every season he comes closer to being the devil actually...

  • funny hahahahaha

  • @redhoodart

If you're going to make a comment abandoning Aussie stereotypes, don't start with 'fair dinkum'. It worked against you.

  • I'm from Australia. Been watching Doctor Who since I was 7.

  • Whovian here in good ol' 'merica!! f*ck yeah!

  • i love how this is becoming a video for whovians to represent every country that loves doctor who i never would have thought that would happen...:)

  • Can I, as an enormous DW fan, represent another country as well? CANADA, baby :D we love our Who, too!

  • @PhoenixWormwood137 whoot go Canada!!!!!! best show on the telly!!!!!

  • @lexxyhunt it totally is! :D

  • cool :D when i was watching this episode i played this ... 8 times :DD

  • meh dont much care for dr who's pretentious speeches like that tho smith does seem scary in that shot i will admit. i wonder why they had this scene, i still feel pretty sure there must b some legal obligation to have the daleks appear in every series to retain the rights, i mean remember the flashback in "the waters of mars"

  • @jhibbitt1 You're right, there is an agreement with the Nation estate that a Dalek must appear in every series, or they lose the rights to use them. To be honest, I don't mind if they get around that rule by putting in a less-than-a-minute-long scene like this once every 14 episodes. It's not completely in your face that way like most of RTD's Dalek finales.

  • @jhibbitt1 I get the feeling that Moffat hates the Daleks almost as much as RTD loved them so whenever he puts them in the series they always get this kind of treatment (even when they win in the fifth season it's still a "oh well that sucks, well let's go to the beach.")

  • New Daleks are dead now? =)

  • i thought he was saying ''Hello, Darling'' and i was like: ''The Doctor is having a relashionship with a dalek? Whawt?

  • @TheWeeCrafter

Oh wow that's exactly what I thought he said when I first saw this scene. Would of been even more creepy and scary xP

  • @LieutenantGwo

haha true! Nice too see that you read my comments. *High five, man!*

  • Matt:"And saw the face of the devil himself"

Me:"Well right now I'm looking at an angel."

  • Pfft, so much for the new paradigm.

  • The doctor wearing the stetson and the long coat reminds me of Mal from firefly! :D

  • I was not a fan of The Stetson, but I have to admit that when combined with that long coat it's arguably cooler than The Fez.

  • First there where bow-ties, then a fez, then the stetson got to be cool. Doctor, make up your mind already, ok? :)

  • anyone else think they are in the tardis?

  • Thought he said "hello darling"

  • Dr killed the Dalek?? :O

  • So all along it's been that easy to open the Daleks? DAFUQ? ._.

  • @LeanneEchelonLeto With its shield down. Yes.

  • Why would the daleks have intel? i thought they just EXTERMINATE!

  • how is it that everyone thinks that only british watch doctor who and Australians livew in the middle of the desert in a shack? i don't live in the desert and I happen to have a computer and happen to be one of the biggest fans of doctor who eva! I got a darlek notice board for my birthday and now its hanging on my wall saying bored bored bored I hate school holidays

  • @nicegirl6852 dude im american and i love doctor who soooooo incredibly much and i know Australians are awesome one of my best friends are Australian

  • @thedoctoronfacebook same. got hooked when the people in my dorm lounge were watching the marathon before "let's kill hitler"....4 months ago. Got a t-shirt and some other stuff for my birthday. now if only my phone charm would stop flashing at random intervals...

  • @thedoctoronfacebook

I'm Canadian and I love this show!

  • @thedoctoronfacebook We are a huge fanbase and Australia is the second largest contributor financially to the show. An Australian also wrote the original theme song, all those years ago. :)

  • I´m from Argentina, and am a fan too.

The Doctor is a world wide phenomenom

  • @nicegirl6852 No one thinks that, in fact Doctor Who has a larger audience in America then it does in its native UK and the only reason for that is America's larger population.

And dude, you can live in a shack and still have a computer. I have family in Aussie and they live in the middle of no where and they still have a computer :P

  • @wildste THAN

  • @nicegirl6852

    You spelled Dalek wrong :L

  • @nicegirl6852 >_> You spelled "Dalek" wrong.

  • @nicegirl6852 shame you can't spell dalek correctly then isn't it.

  • @antony492 thats probably the aussie accent

  • @nicegirl6852

Actually, you're not one of the biggest fans of Dr Who eva (sic). There are myriad bigger fans of Dr Who.

You're just not aware of them, because you live in the middle of the desert in a shack.

  • @nicegirl6852 Because not everybody knows it the show has been popular out of europe

  • @nicegirl6852 well were back at school now mate. p.s its bluddy fair dinkum what other countries make up about us isnt? we all live in the bush, we camp out in tiny little camp sites with the fire burning all night, our favorite word is g'day. its all a load crap i think. im 13 i live in a SUBURB in australia and I love doctor who! POINT MADE!

  • @nicegirl6852 because you're listening to stereotypes from idiots

  • Nooo it should be a red drone, not the one supreme white one!!

  • "Hello Dalek,"

    "Hello Doctor!"

"SHUSH! YOU DID THE WRONG LINES!"

  • it makes him american because this was a big hit on bbc america and bbc in the uk

  • Yeah, I wished Daleks could of gotten more screentime too.

  • Comment removed

  • best scene ever!

  • 'ello Poppet.

  • This has to be the best description of the dalek mindset regarding the doctor. They hate him and they want to kill him, but he's like the universe's scariest boogeyman, except he's all too real and all too deadly, because he almost exterminated their race before, and he was so close to exterminating the daleks from the start, and that's just buried deep down their in their most primal memories. And that's what makes this scene so cool.

  • That Dalek sounded more like a Cyberman.

  • "Hush now" Quiet now it's time to lay your sleepy head.

  • I would've liked this scene a bit more if it wasn't the only screentime the Daleks got this season...sorry but I just wanted to get that off my chest...

  • It's cool, but I prefer the "Where is my wife" from whatever episode it is. The one where Rory's on the cyber ship.

  • Imagine You Were Dying. Imagine You Were Afraid, And A Long Way From Home, And In Terrible Pain. Just When You Thought It Couldn't Get Worse, You Looked Up, And Saw The Face Of The Devil Himself. Hello Dalek!
