  • Sonnen is going to get fucking creamed this time. Unless he gets back on those banned substances, he's not going to stand a chance.

  • Anderson Silva a beast same thing he did to Griffin haha head movement

  • Sonnen Must buy this DVD hahahhahaha

  • Capoeira

  • @787Rs ive seen that fight too many times, i know he is a legend im not talking about him am i? Hes not trying to punch himself is he? I would have just liked to see him evade full speed jabs (no power) and hooks that are actually aimed at him.

  • @heymelon yes ive seen them all i just hate it when a padman lets you evade the punch by pulling it.

  • He wasnt trying to hit him, would like to have seen him evade an actual punch

  • @bigmattyjames So watch ANY of his fights? Lol.

  • @bigmattyjames lol then watch his fight with forrest griffin

  • its easy to dodge an attack thats not coming at you for real

  • @chatanwarrior You gotta start somewhere. Your trainer can crank the intensity later on. At the beginning you gotta start slow to get the coordination and balance.

  • @FaceMeetsFloor that i understand starting slow, but throwing obviously fake punches wont help you, you should always strike to target, you can do so slowly if you're a begginer but you only hurt yourself if you train like this, you're mind is picking up on those que's the trainer is sending when he throws a punch, and if its thrown wide you dont need to dodge it you attack with a straight punch

  • I think the real thing to get this is not the drill, but the fact that as long as you move your head, it doesn't matter where you move it. Silva's not trying to move his head in a specific direction each time, he's just moving.

  • he makes 100% sure he accidentally does not hit Silva, cause he knows whats coming to him.

  • Can people just stop bitching about the Sonnen fight, Silva beat him with a triangle, same thing happened with Fedor vs Werdum...He got careless and ended up paying for it....

Anyway the two are gonna fight again so we'll see what happenes this time round.

  • omg the guy won. he showed champion spirt to still have the will to win even in the last few moments when he knew he was loosing no calls Rocky Lucky!!!!

  • silva is good on his back dumbass.he let sonnen take him down and get on top cause he wanted to submit him for sayin nog jujitsu sux.then after the fight he gets done for roids sonnen sux i would fight that fag and shut his ball less voice the fuck out.

  • Chael Sonnen would have beaten Anderson Silva if Anderson Silva had not beaten Chael Sonnen.

  • @tywainwright1 well, there is always a draw or a no contest

  • Chael beat Silva. Who are you all going to believe? Sonnen, or your lying eyes?

  • kick him in the bollocks

  • this is what i need to learn, man.

  • Forrest Rich Nate Chael and Leben all disliked this video !

  • Are people gonna start saying whites can't box again? Dude anyone that says that needs to look up the current IBF, WBA, WBC ranking Half the champions and ranked fighters are white get with the times.

  • Awesome. I love this kinda stuff

  • Comment removed

  • 5 people have been front kicked in the face and had Steven Seagal take credit for it...

  • @marvelousone123 Hahahaha

  • Too bad he's sparring with a guy who only has a 5" reach... lol

  • @mr0scary That guy with the "5 inch reach" you refer to is Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante, former Strikeforce LHW champion and still in the top 20. He was going to be a veterinarian until convinced otherwise by the Nogueira brothers. Similarly, Anderson Silva was going to operate a car wash until Nog encouraged him to pursue MMA. Amazing what these guys ultimately accomplished instead of going with the alternatives that most of us take, isn't it?

  • @mr0scary That guy is Rafael Feijao Cavalcante lol look him up, he is a SCARY SCARY bad man.

  • 0:50 he crosses his legs >_< ... twice.

  • @hentajus so? the mans a beast, his balance is ridiculous. he's too busy evading and jabbing people in the face for them to notice him crossing his legs. i say if your good enough, fuck text books!

  • @Dizzy90405 I don't want to be offensive, but that's the problem with White and Japanese fighters, they're too textbooky, they have to learn how to feel comfortable and go with the flow instead when their fighting, you can tell this is going in their mind "okay umm remember what you trained for, lead kick, frost step jabs only, umm HES RUSHING OMG STEP BACK WITH THE REAR FOOT FOLLOW WITH THE LEAD FOOT" and that leads for bad striking, and awkward robotic movements.

  • @myloveforMMA I don't think it is white fighters, I think it is most fighters in general. I have noticed that so many fight and train as if they have blinders on. They all use the same gameplans, the same moves, the same mistakes. You would think that people would emulate someone like Silva who is head and shoulders above the rest but people just don't. It's always narrow minded boxing plus high school wrestling or BJJ. Very little Muay Thai, etc.

  • @LordShandor White and Asian fighters, it's just an opinion obviously it's not a fact, some robotic guys like Rampage are black, so yeah I know not ALL but for the most part that's what I see happens. The problem is not that Anderson Silva is that good of a striker, there are way better strikers out in the world. What Makes Anderson special is having the skills to be a very good grappler and STILL be an Amazing striker.

  • @hentajus he also puts his hands down when he fights guys that are trying to knock him out....

    he's Anderson Silva, nuff said

  • @hentajus It's called a cross step. Learn other arts, open your mind.

  • andeson venceu sonnen duas vezes? porque é melhor!!!!!!

  • Sick people always saying that Chael Sonnen should of beat Silva?? If it was the other way round and sonnen came back and won..all you Trolls would be like "Chael is the best" But if the No.1 Pound for Pound fighter in the world does it its luck?? The truth is Sonnen had the best fight of his life Silva had a bad night AND still walked away with the title by ending the fight with a choke! Your all probs just hating on Silva cause he isnt american...

  • @SDALiiON lol anderson fans are really the dumbest in mma.

  • @thecrazyoftheinsane im not a crazy silva fan lol my fav fighter is JDS.. but i was just giving credit where credit is due? dunno why so many people hate on him.. his a good fighter is he not?

  • @SDALiiON Yea you are a dumb silva fan. Trying to say that your not when the evidence clearly states otherwise is just stupid. Like you stupid anderson cockboys.

  • how do u dodge an uppercut, i didnt see any thrown here? do u just block that shit or do u just let it hit ur face?

  • @ImaFez You can use a slip, lean back, side step, or a block. Practice all of it.

  • @sanchezsalvia1 ok thanks....

  • @ImaFez lol, face blocking

  • I wonder if the guy is throwing pre-set punches or just throwing whatever comes to mind. Think he should of mentioned so in the vid

  • @MichaelAPryorJr What ever comes to mind obviously lol when your really fighting are they gonna throw scripted sets of punches?

  • @MegaSlayerr Well for safety purposes and just get the hang of it usually they say lets start off slipping just a jap cross combo or something like that. Well at least when i had started or i was in class they did. Wondering if this is the same type of thing going on here. Itd be hard and someone was randomly throwing stuff from the start.

  • @MichaelAPryorJr ya ofc start off with dodging the jab when ur good at that throw in the straight then maybe a hook ect ect when your comfortable with slipping all types of punches start mixing it up then and obviously dont throw the punches with power lol

  • @MegaSlayerr lmao lol.

  • @dragonfist25 Whats funny about that ? lol its common sense

  • @baacklaash hell no umm an mma fan and Anderson silva is the best ufc has to offer Chael sonnen gay grappler who thinks charge in no matter what works best it doesn't shows how wrestling was taken down a peg with all the new martial arts and they are ganna fight again and what happened the first time isn't ganna happen again

  • @silverice11 what porn do you watch....?

  • Loses his stance at times, I suggest reading Bruce Lee books for anyone interested in martial arts. Bruce Lees fighting Method has some great wisdom for head movements, stance and footwork, all necessary to the fighting man.

  • @w0rdisbond Which Bruce Lee book ?

  • @CarlosStephenPR Fighting Method, i think probably gives you a most complete picture. Good luck training! Any questions, please let me know =)

  • @w0rdisbond Thank You. I apreciate Your help

  • @BaaCkLaaSh lemme guess. Your favorite fighter is someone who probably got his ass handed to him by A.Silva

  • Mayweather vs. Silva

  • @jonremache silva hands down, just for his reach

  • @DeadlyNinja1702 Of course.

  • Enough with the Griffin jokes already! Come up with a new joke that is actually funny, you fucking losers.. If Silva is your favorite fighter, you're caught up in the mainstream and you don't know shit about MMA!

  • @BaaCkLaaSh I don't appreciate that. I was a fan of Silva's since his fight against Lightning. That guy's a bad dude, and I hadn't really heard of Silva before then, and when he pounded out that decision, I had a new fighter to keep track of, and he became my favorite after putting Fryklund to sleep; so don't go calling everybody a fanboy just because he beat up your favorite fighter. His striking and defense are amazing, and there isn't an undrugged middleweight that has come close - fuck off

  • @CinnamonDuro I'm not a fan of anyone he has beaten, so don't assume such dumb shit. You like Silva because he is one of the only fighters you can name besides GSP or Faber. Once again, get out f the mainstream fool. EVERYONE that is a TRUE fan of mma knows Sonnen should be holding the Middleweight belt right now and not Silva,

  • @BaaCkLaaSh except silva beat sonnen??

  • @BaaCkLaaSh True MMA fans know Chael Sonnen has no submission defense. Which is why he gets choked out every time he fights someone who practices BJJ. He's great at selling a fight though but he's just not championship material.

  • @BaaCkLaaSh any true mma fan? troll... face it, chael sonnen would have won if he won.

    /end

  • @MrTrauMMA "would have won if he won" loolol indeed

  • @MrTrauMMA yea sonnen would have won if it went to the decision, but it didn't. silva made him submit, so that's that.

  • @kimimarokekegenkai And in truth, like BJ Penn said, a decision isn't a win, it's a decision. There are only two ways to win, knockout or tap out.

  • @MrTrauMMA hes just not that good on his back ...silva utilized a submission ...a win is a win ....gotta give cheal mad respect its hard to get silve on his back ...even on the floor

  • @BaaCkLaaSh 1. sonnen tested positive for PEDs after the silva fight...doped and still lost 2. sonnen is eager to take fights with striking-dominant fighters, but backs out of fights against submission artists like demian maia. 3. you talk about mainstream as though there's a certain sect within the largest MMA organization in the world that unjustifiably gets less attention than others...certain fighters are in the limelight for a reason you nobody

  • @BaaCkLaaSh if sonnen fought GSP right now without either changing weight classes, he would STILL get destroyed by the smaller man. simply put, you're a foolish mma fan.

  • @BaaCkLaaSh Sonen did not finsh Silva, While Silva did finish Sonen, so we all know who's champ. Granted Sonen deserved a rematch prior to 2012, but the UFC has been plagued with several champions dodging fights over the years, Silva is one of them.

  • LOL at people knocking Andersons speed or his partners speed or saying that he is not striking at his head.... Go fight Anderson and see if you can hit him... until then STFU.

  • I see a lot of people here are saying his partner is not aiming at his head or throwing any hard punches. It's not about that. It's about getting the technique done and getting used to the movements. Even in Krav Maga when we train our reflexes, we train very slow compared to an actual strike but when an actual strike comes we are lightning quick .

  • Now, I could be wrong, I'm not but the possibility is always there. I'm pretty certain that even when he is doing this training his partner STILL is not going for a real hit. The purpose is to continuously move and get down the footwork to be able to dodge strikes. He will dodge strikes whether they are AT his face or NEAR his face. He is just saying move, Move, MOVE! He probably does it exactly like this even when not instructing.

  • Yushin Okami created 5 accounts to dislike this .

  • its crazy how silva can switch stances so calmly !

  • Wow... I can't believe how many comments people have made about how Anderson should be getting real strikes thrown at him in this video!!! THIS IS ONLY AN INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO for people to learn from, not a training session for Anderson, this is so people can understand and learn from the technique and see it slowed down so all of the movements are visible for them to comprehend...... trust me, Anderson gets strikes thrown at him when HE is training HIMSELF... but not these videos.... nerds !

  • And Okami joined the party

  • Maia, Leites, Forrest, Franklin and Okami disliked this video

  • btw ppl silva was probably 215 220 right here hes not a natural 205er he just likes to eat alot you can clearly see the fat on his thighs and stomach silva is a natural 185 he could make 170 if he wanted

  • I'll bet weighted head-gear would be a nice addition to these drills. What do you think?

  • @bourquechris more then likly probably why his punches are so strong and quick

  • That guy is not even trying to hit him ...

  • @InfectedByZanza ya but have u seen him in a real fight use these techniques? yes

  • @angeriod Yes but the guy is not even trying to hit him ...

  • @InfectedByZanza dude watch his fight and see him put this drill into action

  • @Mr559Mendez I know im his biggest fan I have few photos with him and I think half of you guys cant read English? That guy is not even trying to hit him ...

  • @InfectedByZanza no shit, thats how you learn you dumb fuck. Let me throw you in a top fuel dragster for your first driving lesson. Internet dumb fuck, typical.

  • @bmx7596 Wow, I was training Thai Boxing for over a year and now I train Boxing (8 months) we do the same thing but the person throwing the punch is actually trying to punch us in the head. Answer to your question? Nope im not a typical Internet dumb fuck :) Have a nice day Sire :)

  • @bmx7596 Are you implying that this is Anderson Silva's first sparring session or something? At this point in his training and career, he really should have his partners trying to hit him. Your logic only makes sense to a fanboy, especially ridiculous because no one here was insulting Anderson Silva in the least, and no one was doubting his ability to slip and weave punches. The guy only said that his partner was clearly not trying to hit him, which is correct.

  • @ruebuscm You don't get it. He's instructing, not training full out. Everyone instructs differently.

  • @bmx7596 I get that he's not training full out. I understand that it's slowed down. None of that is the issue. The only thing that was pointed out was the fact that his partner is not actually aiming the shots at his head. No one here is doubting Anderson Silva's evasiveness, dude. The guy only said that his partner was deliberately missing Silva's head, and if you watch the video you can see that that is true. The student will still get the point, of course. You seem a little over-sensitive.

  • now just speed the video up about 50x and youll see what forrest saw (;

  • That is one big reason why he's such a good fighter.

  • anyone else notice that they just used the same video but mirrored for the Southpaw stance half?

  • footwork bro

  • Alternative title: How to humiliate Forrest Griffin

  • é curioso um brasileiro esquivar se com tecnicas de combate mais proximas do boxe de Ali. Parabens ai pelo destaque q tu tem dentro do mma Anderson.

  • Forrest Griffin....

  • lol he makes it look so easy

  • @2JZAdam if your naturally crafty person this is easy

  • @TheTikeMyson Harsh bro. But funny as hell! :D

  • @159amVideo the more i read this the dumber i think you are lol... put your actions WHERE your mouths are and put technique up on the net, or get in a ring? are you serious???? hahahaha me speak well. me no words.. and ps i wrote no on purpose... and just incase you dont get it it is supposed to be KNOW.. stupid twit

  • @159amVideo the rest doesnt make any more sense then the beginning you half a fag. my mom is dead? what the fuck are you talking about? more proof your a fucking idiot. satan? oh my name.. my YOUTUBE name you fucking twat.. 159amvideo... am i supposed to make an assumption on your life because of that? you must define yourself through youtube to do that shit? drink some bleach you stupid dick sucker

  • and if you accdiently hit silva during this drill run your ass off

  • Anderson Silva wasted his time doing this video. He could have simply put up the whole fight with forrest.

  • @159amVideo you write like a complete retard... here is what you wrote on my page.."in your own name dumbass is about a book" that doesnt even make sense. so if you plan on writing on my page LEARN TO WRITE FIRST. THEN YOU DONT EVEN ACCEPT MESSAGES LIKE A FAGGOT.

  • @TheTikeMyson lol and forrest is cool as hell but funny comment

  • @159amVideo.. is english your second language?

  • @ickerish Rofl~ That's so mean! It probably is his second language! It's my second language as well, but i speak it decently! Dude, don't insult other people's english skills! That's mean! lol~

  • @stockmaster1982.. :p sorry.. hehe..

  • Basic defensive boxing... don't know why everyone is in such awe of this simplicity...

Yeah, I went there... bring it on mindless Silva fanboys

  • @KaratekaKid AWW LOOKING FOR ATTENTION ARE WE... no 1 will bring it because no 1 gives a fuck about your stupid ass opinion. go die.

  • @KaratekaKid True, it's simple, but Silva is really good at it. If it's so easy, the other MMA fighters should be dodging punches just like Silva.

  • if i hang a water bottle from the celling will i get benefits from it?

  • @dsettleascii no you can't learn this technique unless you have someone throwing punches at you it teaches you how to move your head in different directions and build your reflexes for reading peoples body movement the only way to learn it is with another person

  • @dsettleascii I'd say you could use that to practice some, yeah, but you really need a partner to actually apply the technique. If you just want to practice rolls, hang a taut rope across your training space, and walk down the length of it (using correct footwork) bobbing back and forth underneath it as you go. You can also throw punches to practice striking out of your bob and weave, which actually gives you a lot more power by loading up your hip rotation.

  • @ruebuscm Still you don't get, the movements are slowed down for beginners to see his movements slowed down. God forbid everyone doesn't instruct like your teachers. Wow, you do muay thai? Crazy, half my family does, even my sisters, who gives a fuck its not worth mentioning.

  • It's an awesome drill!

  • he is like a dancer.

  • @TheTikeMyson stfu

  • @topbreaker45

    U MAD BRO?

    YEA U MAD

  • @NullyCS I'm pretty late to reply to this, but this is actually what Machida does VERY successfully. It's about timing and baiting. The quick back jump and you can see your opponent think/start to chase, you're already jumping right back towards him connecting fist to chin :D

  • @perkuskamui wrong machida only uses his footwork machida actually doesn't really use this technique at all it's a technique unique to boxing or else machida wouldn't have gotten knocked the fuck out by a wild right hook machidas head almost doesn't move at all totally different dodging manuevers

  • @gregory57481 Maybe I misinterpreted the question, but I understood it as footwork, as you stated, and my reply was completely intended be about JUST that. Not about head movement at all. Maybe I didn't convey my response as accurately as I could have. So Machida's particular delivery of this footwork is more karate based and leaves him open. The boxing method includes bobs and weaves and shoulder rolls, right? Both have their pros and cons, both work. It's all still a matter of timing/bating.

  • haha and I think I went off on another tangent. Basically, I was just saying in the simplest sense that the jump back>sprint forward is applying the theory Machida is demonstrating. Leaning back is the more boxer style but can still goad an opponent forward, setting him up. Then again Machida leans way back already to keep a good space to evade. ....Man, I can't tell if I'm able to stay on topic anymore lol. Grats BamBam! Nully, I agree with you :D

  • @gregory57481 Yeah, you're right about Machida. A lot of Karate is based on point fighting and they will give the opponent points if you don't block a punch that's close to your head.

  • silvas a baaad man . looks kinda outta shape here, but uhhh, no one tell him i said that haha

  • forrest has disliked this... twice

  • @MrMatt2122 dont forget forrests trainers. theres 5 dislikes

  • @MrMatt2122 forrest made 3 more accounts to dislike

  • @NullyCS I know I've done that in sparring before and in hard sparring it's even better. LOL.

  • @NullyCS Poor bastard I prefer a loss, did you get to try it?

  • @NullyCS how'd it go?

  • is it fejato?

  • I'm sure anderson sounds just like that guy

  • @NullyCS I can say first hand it works, someone did it to me and my knees went for a second. He put on the pressure and threw a quick bunch of punches which I blocked slipped and ducked (my back was to the ropes) he stepped back and as I sensed he was out of range momentarily popped my head back up with no guard feelin pretty slick and CRACK! right in the kisser It was a noisy crowd and a friend of mine heard it connect 20 rows back. So in my opinion hell yeah if you can make it work

  • he should be the first mma fighter to fight a pro boxing match

  • I have no interest in GSP/Silva, everyone knows whats going to happen. Silva/jones or jones/cain or JDS on the other hand, is interesting.

  • makes it look so easy

  • GSP has absolutely nothing in his arsenal against Silva. He's good, but Anderson skills are on an whole other level. GSP fans won't realize till fight night. Dana White is protecting his "golden boy". I doubt the fight happens. We all know that Dana isn't too fond of Silva. If they do fight, mostly likely GSP get home turf advantage (GSP will never fight the champ in Brazil, point blank period). Just my thoughts...

  • @BKMentality I agree. the only chance GSP has is to control him. Cuz silva's striking is so much better than GSP. I hope the fight happens tho, it would shut everyone up cuz everyone keeps saying silva cant beat GSP. Mostly cuz they are haters and racist.

  • The GSP/Anderson silva fight would be amazing.

  • GSP is not impresse by your performance Anderson

  • @mar1wwe Vitor was though. GSP wants nothing to do with Anderson Silva

  • @rugby2413 What you have stated is stupidity. I am a practitioner of MuayThai, boxing, & Silat. I have fought in 7 Muay Thai matches and 4 boxing matches. I have worked as a bouncer in many clubs and know many boxers that work as bouncers. All of the guys that I know that only box and work as bouncers are more than capable of kicking ass in a real fight. The fights that I have seen at the clubs didn't last long. I have seen more than a few people knocked out by boxers. I speak from experience.

  • @rugby2413 What the hell are you talking about? Everything in this video is boxing. Try studying with a boxing coach before talking rubbish. Slipping and bobing and weaving comes from boxing. Most techniques can work if you know how and when to apply them.

  • isnt it wrong when he moves to the left rear foot goes first then front. it is supposed to be front then rear. respect to him. he's pro. but im leanring muay thai now and i just wanna learn the right technique. so many people showed me different styles when it ocmes to jab, hook, movements. i dono who's right anymore.

  • @whodat16ip Trust me, the Spider is right.. haven't you seen his fights? you should learn from experience, and he never got knocked out

  • the spider!!!!!!!!!!

  • Capoeira, the martial art that Sensei Silva holds a yellow belt in is not unlike Kali-Eskrima in the Philipines. It, combined with his Black Belt level of skill and knowledge in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Tae Kwon Do with a heathy seasoning of Thai elbows and knees make Sensei Silva a very deadly, well rounded and versitile fighter.

  • This is a excellent footwork drill and i like that Sensei Silva uses a circular pattern with his evasive footwork

  • No wonder he's the best.

  • Vitor Belfort and Forrest Griffin saw this video ;)

  • ay this actually helpful, thanks for uploading this bro

  • Forrest = 1 dislike

  • @TheTikeMyson problem is that you dont learn this sitting in front of your PC!!! hundreds of rounds of sparring then yes

  • @hekoka yeah same here

  • @TheTikeMyson and Rich Franklin, and Demian Maia, and Vitor Belfort... Hell, I haven't lost to Anderson SIlva and I'm still trying to learn this... Then go and practice for 10 years to be able to do this in slow motion.

  • @TheTikeMyson DUDE THAT WAS SOOO FUNNY CAUSE THATS HOW FORREST LOST LOL

    I GET IT :)

  • isnt he nearsighted?

  • this is good very good against punchers but against kickers hehe its usless!!!
