"nice catalog of apps, no one can disagree"? I disagree. 90% of iPhone apps are junk if you actually try to use them. :)
As for Palm ... they gave it a hail mary, and are still running for the ball ... the game may be over soon with a miss, but I'm fairly sure another team will buy them out after the clock runs out.
As for comments about this video of Flash 10.1 ... it's in BETA ... you're lucky enough to even see it, here. I'd say reserve your judgements until it's out in final form.
It looks as though the hulu video loaded just as he was navigating to the new page. At 1:48 - It looks as though the player has rendered and it is displaying the disclaimer.
I've got one question for you AppleMan....... Were is Flash for the iPhone......? Ohhh that's right Apple refuses to use Flash on the iPhone.... I figure since your here looking at flash on the Pre your pretty jealous! LOL!
Palm sucks ass, they just try to copy someone else's hard work, and they can't even do a good job at that. Their platform is going nowhere, their sales are slacking, they no longer have full iTunes Media capabilities, etc... And by releasing crappy flash on the pre without working out all the kinks and having it fully optimized to work on a small mobile device shows how incompetent the management at Palm really is! Battery life will suffer, nothing beats optimized native apps :) >160,000 iPhone.
@AppleManifesto ya pre copied apple, i can say that. their platform is decent but its not going nowhere, agree. they dont need no itunes capabilities, since it sucks balls.
battery life is not great but neither its on your holy iphone. and ya apple has a nice catalog of apps, no one can disagree
@AppleManifesto the person that developed the ipod is the same one that worked on the palm pre. in other words..the genius you are commending at apple is the same genius that has built the pre. and seriously who cares about iTunes?? try using flash while youre checking your email and listening to music, while locating your position on google maps on the iphone...oh wait...you cant :(
@gulrezm First of all, the iPhone is so much more than an iPod! And "who cares about iTunes?", apparently millions and millions of people do as iTunes is the largest music retailer in the world! Secondly, multi-tasking is coming to iPhones in a big way! Check out Apple's awesome iPhone 4.0 OS preview! And to be honest with you, without Apple's ecosystem of products and services like a built-in widescreen iPod, iTunes, and amazing App Store, the Pre is just about done...
@AppleManifesto haha REALLY? the iphone is so much more than an ipod?? thank u captain obvious for missing my point entirely! multitasking is coming to the iphone in a big way!!!!! wow NO WAY! HOW LONG HAS THE IPHONE BEEN OUT FOR? errrr since 2007....and none of the iphone users have been able to utilize multitasking?? lol and they've also been paying the higher premiums to use one app at at time. it's funny cuz the multitasking feature isn't even out yet and you are gloating about it. troll
@AppleManifesto and just because millions of people are forced to use itunes because its the only way they can use their apple mp3 player does not mean it's functionally popular...according to your logic it would be fun to pay taxes because millions of people do!! itunes is a memory hogging store front for apple to sell music...it takes forever to load a large library of music...i hate using my ipod for music transfer i prefer using my no name brand mp3..
@gulrezm If you knew your facts, you can actually use your iPod on many different software and services, but people prefer iTunes because it works seamlessly, and for it being a "memory hog" either you're running an older version or your computer sucks, because on mine it launches almost instantly and runs flawlessly. Get your facts together troll...
@AppleManifesto oh and i saw the apple multitask preview...please be honest and compare it with webos...its HORRENDOUS. it is not really multitasking at all! apple has limited it to only 7 house apps that will be used in 'multi tasking'...and i use that term lightly. on webOS the apps actually RUN in the background, on iphone 4.0 'multitasking' the application simply FREEZES until you revisit it again. that is NOT a desktop experience as much as you want to think so...
@gulrezm First of all, apparently you have a problem with the concept of facts! Apple has not limited multitasking to 7 house apps, it applies to all Apps, including all 3-party Apps! And for your information since your inclined to miss the facts, depending on the API's the developers use some 3-party apps will run in the background! Did you miss the preview of Pandora? It ran in the background as other Apps were being used and launched! So many developers, such as, Skype will take advantage!!
@AppleManifesto do you even know what a troll is? consider yourself...commenting anti-Palm pro-Apple comments on a PALM PRE VIDEO. that's called being a troll. secondly, why do i HAVE to have additional software or 3rd party services (some of which cost money) to load music onto my mp3 player?? my contention isn't whether it is POSSIBLE to use 3rd party services...but the very fact that any kind of software is necessary...why can't i just plug my ipod in and view my mp3 files like any usb drive?
@AppleManifesto secondly...when i say house apps i am referring to the 7 OS-level operations that are being provided to the applications, namely: audio, VOIP, location, push notification, etc. this is not 'multi-tasking' in the technical sense, simply the apps are FROZEN in the background and the OS is providing JUST THESE 7 SERVICES TO THE APPS....why is that bad?? because 1) you are limiting your 3rd party developers because they might want to use a service that is not included in those 7!
@AppleManifesto 2) this new fake multitasking feature requires developers to go back and rewrite the software so that it's compatible with iphone...i.e. they are spending even more time on IPHONE ONLY apps which increases LOCK-IN when they COULD be using their time more wisely making cross-platform applications..
and lastly...it is just UGLY the way it handles multi tasking...it's just a scroll bar with 7 icons...you dont see a preview of whats occuring....you HAVE to switch to the app to view
@AppleManifesto of course if you have never utilized the elegance of the webos card system...any kind of half-assed technique that lets you listen to pandora while you read an email can pass as 'multitasking' to the masses...apparently that includes you!
@Liberty252 people having negaive experience with the device is due 100% to the hardware. Being a first generation device there have been several hardware issues like any other first gen device. It's a failure due to the worst marketing campaign in history. However, there has been not one single person to have had a negative experience with the webOPERATING SYSTEM. if you have any proof of a legitimate tech blog that says otherwise please cite it.

Point of fact--Hulu opens at the 50 sec mark. Its the same page I see on my desktop.
You didnt even type it in until 20 sec in--it took less than 30 sec to load the page--the Flash Icon appeared, and the page opened.
Did you think we wouldnt notice? Its a cell phone, give it a second.

@gulrezm Why is the WebOs such a failure so far? So many folks have had a negative experience on the devices. And no I am not being sarcastic.
