Without Bonzo it's not Led Zeppelin any more, and never will be, not even in name. When I watch this I feel nothing at all, no chills, no sense of awe, nothing. It's often said that the drummer makes the band. When Bonzo died, the band died with him, and no drummer today can ever capture his unique magic. When I watch this, the only thing I see are three surviving members of Led Zeppelin + one fairly talented drummer. I would hazard a guess that most other drummers feel roughly the same way.
@danny6241 it's not as sacred as all that .It's only a rock band. It's Led Zeppelin if Jimmy Page calls it Led Zeppelin whether fans react favorably or not
All Led Zeppelin fans deserve to see this, if they dont release this on DVD it will be a devastating loss for everyone, as the chance of seeing them on tour again is very slim. At least release this as a sort of a conclusion of Led Zeppelin and but us out of our misery of will they wont they!
These guys rock harder than most bands out today. And how old are they? Yep. Robert Plant has the most recognizable rock voice in history. No doubt about that. This is why they consider him the best at what he does and did. Rather as an old man or a young sex symbol, everybody recognizes him. It is like what I said with Coverdale and Page. A not so great combo. If Plant was replaced by coverdale, that would be a disaster. Coverdale is known in his own respect, but is not Zeppelin quality.
Led Zep...thank you for all the memories and opening my eyes since the 70's. You are all class acts and bring a tear to my eye daily. This is when music was all about the love of it...not money
Zep is MY FAVORITE band of all time!!!!!!Jason just is not his dad. Time issues, too rehursed. There will NEVER really be a Zep reunion again. SAD! They had a chemistry that no other drummer will ever fill. They were mind readers! I was alive when they were still a band, so im not quite a young buck
actually Blind Willie Johnson first recorded it. Although Dylan is a great songwriter, he can't hold a candle to Zep as far as recording or performing
they are old but still rock...Page playing great slide guitar, Plant, JP Jones at their best. Not sure about Jason Bonham...his father was one of the best, alongside Keith Moon. Now please don't get on my case for any previous negative comments I may have made re: Zep. So fuck off...I dont want any reply comments.
