In reply to RetroRepair's comments, I don't think anyone had surround sound in 1993, as it was a new thing at the time & probably incredibly expensive! It didn't really become affordable until the DVD-era in around 2000/1. Still, ''Bad Influence'' was the 1st time it was broadcast on TV then way back in 1993!...
Hi AidanLunn, I think from memory it was the ''funky bom-pee-bom'' version by this stage, which was introduced in late '92 following Tommy Boyd's sacking. They also dropped the 1989 intro at this time too. Poor old Glenn was only on-screen from around December '92 until February '93, when the Steve Ryde-era was introduced.
Sorry it cuts off at the end so abruptly, but my stupid VCR at the time used to always go back a few seconds when you recorded something, so when I recorded something after this Glenn Kinsey footage it went back over the end outro etc.
@cwilliams1976 Hi Chris & long-time no speak, I hope you are well etc. Tommy was sacked by the then new CITV controller, Dawn Airey as he had allegedly made some homophobic comments on-air, but he denied it & there was no evidence apparently, but he was still sacked though!
Tommy says it was a load of hogwash to get rid of him quickly, as Airey wanted to get rid of in-vision continuity & start the out-of-vision service (with Steve Ryde) as soon as possible, which is what did happen in Feb '93, not long after Boyd's sacking in Dec '92. Glenn Kinsey filled in 'til the changeover & so was the last CITV IVC presenter until May '98, when Steve Mulhern & Danielle arrived.
@DJFairborne77 I know that Tommy Boyd has a radio show on BBC local radio in the southeast and Glenn is now an independent producer. The last time Glenn was seen on television was I believe in a documentary shown on BBC1 a few years back.
@DJFairborne77 Hi Iain, I thought that I should bring it to your attention that Route19 has now brought this subject up and all he can say about Tommy Boyd's alleged remarks was:
@DJFairborne77 Hi Iain, hope you're well too. I am now very surprised that Tommy Boyd would have been capable of making homophobic comments on air and now feel that this was an appropriate action to take under the circumstances, so now I can see why it was such a surprise that Glenn Kinsey stepped back in to take over, thus making up for the lack of Children's ITV Summer Mornings presentation in 1992 whilst the ITV companies were taking stock of the ITV franchise auction.
So a Friday on CiTV in Early 1993 should have Thomas the Tank Engine, ZZZap!, Talespin and I can't hear very well what's the last programme. I would love to know all the CiTV schedules from the 1990's and 2000's
I lloved this show as a kid. It gave you great hint and tips during the show and at the end if you had ( A VHS Video Recorder ). Ah the old days!!

Bad Influence was bloody brilliant!
It's too bad it got replaced with the NOWHERE-as-cool T.I.G.S. (Totally Interactive Game Show). You even got old Amiga cheats...
I'm soooo glad I grew up in the 90s!

did this CITV closing animation have the Tommy Boyd "piano" jingle or the early Steven Ryde funky "bom-pee-bom" jingle?

@DJFairborne77 Hi Iain, something to clarify here, you say Tommy Boyd was sacked. How and why was he sacked?
