@TheGreatRakatan, the interface? Are you kidding me? That interface is the best. The ONLY thing is the combat system, and that is easily greatly improved by installing some mods. Graphics are aged too, but for the most part still look nice, though that void can be filled with mesh/texture replacements and MGE.
@starwarsguy9 I can't for the life of me why I said that the interface was flawed. But yes, the combat system was the worst part. Being a mage was ridiculously hard in that game. Excuse my poorly thought out comment. The interface was in fact very good. The map was great, the journal especially was one very important part of that game I miss in Oblivion and Skyrim. No floating arrows, just journal entries telling you where to go.
@iorost Yeah. I've recently read some info about it that have made me expect it to be below the quality of past TES games. First is that they're putting together Cuirass and Greaves (Not that big a deal, but it's an even BIGGER step down from the times of Morrowind) and second is that they're apparently taking CALL OF DUTY as the model to make it "Accesible". Seriously, I've got nothing against CoD, but I DON'T want to play Scrolls of Duty. I'll still buy it, and hope to be pleasantly surprised.
@Eruonen I most definitely was. My favourite Elder Scrolls game now, actually. Second only to Deus Ex 1 on my best games ever list. It's everything that was good about Oblivion, Morrowind and even Daggerfall rolled into one, with very few flaws. The interface (On PC, at least) is the biggest flaw.
-Morrowind's deep, interesting questlines and storytelling, as well as detailed enviroments.
-Oblivion's amazing graphics (Though it's been confirmed graphics will be much more "Next-Gen") and gameplay, as well as detailed enviroments (I consider Morrowind and Oblivion equal on that).
-Daggerfall's (Hah, how many of you've played that? Just so you know, it's for free on Bethesda's site right now) amazing, mind-blowing size.
I remember the first time I heard this particular song, I was on my way to Caldera. I didn't know about the Alits near the entrance... Needless to say, I screamed and shit myself as they chewed up my level one ass.
@Balathustrius86 Actually, according to the new "Elder Scrolls" novels coming out, Vvardenfell no longer exists, having gotten destroyed by Red Mountain after the Ministry of Truth crashed into Vivec City (around 3 years after the events of "Oblivion").
I recall this song better with those large black beetles, called 'Shalks'. Even though they crawl rather slowly, they have some massive AoE fire attack! Holy shit!
Yup, Julian Soule is Jeremy's brother, they work together on mostly all their work and write soundtracks on a share basis (Jeremy writes some songs, Julian writes others), so you don't know which song is by who all the time!
I'd say the biggest flaw of Morrowind was the interface and the combat system. Everything else I thought was superb.

Thank Saint Jiub that if I we return to Vvardenfell we won't have to worry about cliff racers.

I think this is the piece I've rarely encountered whilst playing Morrowind, it just doesn't show up much
miss the good time though, just reinstalled the game for some good fun :)

HEY what did he mean by better quality??
the sound??

Nobody said better quality...
starwarsguy9 2 years ago
I'm pretty sure it just means that the album cover has better picture quality. I could be wrong, though; ask Starwarsguy9.

Probably both the audio and video.
