  • Very nice

  • Thanks Sifu Bernd for all you did for the martial arts and for Wing Tsun!

    Ruhe in Frieden.

  • this is so pathetic

and that music does not make it better

there is nothing epic about this

ok maybe it is a epic fail

  • @TheSUBGAMER realise this, it's just training. i'm a boxer and i sparred today with these fighters, there is no chance of consciousness after a minute with these guys in the ring.

  • @G4FProduction sure kid sure

i guess it shows you need to find a better boxing club then -)

    peace

  • Did you guys ever been in real street fight's???? I mean not just against a tired drunken guy.

Really funny, but if it keeps your body in shape .... ;-))

  • This guy is awesome!!!

  • The Little Idea Form is the foundation of Wing Chun and must be first master before proceeding to the next two other forms.Patience is key to developing the Chi to balance the body and mind.

  • Should i learn wc or muay thai. I can only take one because my mom dont wanna drive me to 2 ma classes.

    My qualities:

    14 in high school

    Male

    Tall

    Skinny

Verry light not heavy at all

Kids fight (alot!!!!!) at my school

Which art would be better for me wing chun or muay thai.

This is for self defense mostly, not all for health and mind.

  • @shallowcoder1 You ll never protect yourself or others if ya wont learn about the meaning. Health, Mind they are all lil pieces of da art itself. And for ya question, there isnt a stronger/weaker Art, only stronger/weaker users, because of their health, mind technique etc.

    Peace

  • @shallowcoder1 Then muay thai. You have to spend years developing wing chun in till you could effectively defend yourself with it against anyone with decent fighting knowledge. Unless you are already a natural fighter and can stand up for yourself. My advice is choose the one which costs less and avoid fights. That last part is important regardless but yeah. Just be smart and stay cool. You'll be able to think clearer and find a way out of the situation whatever martial art you do

  • @shallowcoder1 learn sanda, aka sanshou, combination of kungfu, style that chinese army learn, similar to muay thai

  • @shallowcoder1 wing chun is better because it was designed for a smaller frame based on explosive speed not power, since you're skinny you'll die using kicking boxing unless you're prepared to put in the SEVERE conditioning and bulk up.

Yet truth is as well, any art is useless if you can't use it properly its not always based on style but how you use it i.e mentality.

you have to train so its like muscle memory, in a real fight you have no time to think

  • @LAHrebirth mentality and conditioning are the top things in fighting, style just holds it together. If you acts like bruce lee but your opponent is bigger and uses raw power you will get crushed.

if you don't know how to eg. twist your body and parry in wingchun and attack at the same time you lose. If you get scared i.e mentality again, you lose

real fights are different to training, even sparring

a bully will not let you get up like in a sparring match

  • @shallowcoder1 wc.

  • RIP Bernd Wagner

  • Mannn this guy was smootheee.

  • regardless of how u may feel about the man RESPECT HIM. Learn and make it your own unless you ever sparred or challenged him you r stating an opinion, not a fact. i like this video, there is no one way to be, just your own expression through learning from people who have something to teach.humble yourself or get knocked out! Love and respect to all martial artist that are not boastful or arrogant!

  • I just watched film about Wing Tsun in TV.

It looks efective, similiar like Chinese Kenpo

  • @LordDarkin in what channels (on TV) do you watch Wing Chun things ?

  • @videosdatreta

It was in Polish programme. TV4. Film was about IpMan "The Legend Is Born: Ip Man / Yip Man"

  • It's so sad to see the westerners learning chinese martial arts but the chinese themselves are not.

  • Merry Christmas to all Wing Tsun learners, Sifu's and all others! Keep training and developing our art. Love the snow effect here.

  • ewto or uwto?

  • why did he die?

  • Wow can't believe so young. Condolences.

  • What is the name that song

  • i cant understand how wing chun works? i can see its very fast striking but it doesnt look powerful?

  • @frazerw16

wing chun is an intensely close-quarters martial art. when you get to close to them, without letting them attack first, you will get your ass kicked. say yuo throw a punch, hes going to move it to the side, and enter your area and they have full disposal of your face, solar plexus, or other vital areas, and so when they punch they move into it, meaning their actually aiming behind you, amplifying the punch to a very high degree.

  • @frazerw16 if you got punched one time by attacks like this, you feel every single move in that video while watching it ^^

  • @frazerw16

There's ALOT of strenth training envolved for a start, also there's tecniques to the punches to maximise power ... like a last minit flex of the wrist to give a snap.

you only have to watch a one inch punch demo to see the power that can be generated from a stright punch like the ones used in wing chun.

  • @LondonGabbaSquat

True. Lots of energy. I hit concrete walls with full force and no pain or damage at all (on the contrary, you can feel how the wall gets the motion transferred). That not only makes your bones stronger but also makes you develop a TREMENDOUS (scary) amount of energy when hitting. Cheers. The same happens I presume with Muay Thau boxers when kicking for hours.

  • Wing Chun is very easy to learn but also very confused as to the right. Not even a little bit precision will lead to mistakes.

  • 1:39 id tap that

  • Due to the beauty of this video, I started Wing Chun and love every moment of it. RIP Sifu Wagner, I wish i could have trained under you. May you rest in peace. *bows*

  • This guy's doing it all wrong, He's doing water bending techniques, when he's CLEARLY a fire bender.

  • @iThriller Whilst I think this man deserves nothing but respect at this given time, I can't help but to burst out into laughter from this comment. Seriously, you made my day :D

  • cool video

  • wing chun is wing chun but modified sucks. just saying.

  • That Dude Kinda Cold, If He Can Really Apply That.

  • achei muito impreciso esta faltando alguma coisa, talvez como cantar, tem que entregar a alma, estar exatamente ali por inteiro, naquela hora ,naquele lugar, estar e buscar o centro. nao e isso o wing chung?

  • tres belle video :)

  • Terminator

  • look how the guy at 2:00 attacks the "Sifu" You would never attack somebody with a "Bong Sao" (wing arm) !!! Who has taught him that? The Bong Sao is a distortion technique that always results from a defensive action as a follow-up move to divert the attackers force.

  • @DaRealHess There is no bong sao there, lol. Angle is a lot different.

  • @DaRealHess might it be a lower gwat or fat sao?

  • @DaRealHess si crees que te las sabes todas, donde esta tu video maestro?

  • Does anyone know of a full time WT school? Not a once a week class thing. But a full time every day collage type thing.

  • @Makaveli7Soldier ...i had a class with just ones a week...but hey atleast im learning it :)

  • @Parazyne imo - Though I am an admirer of the BL, I am not sure WC is useless in a fight. A blow to the throat is a blow to the throat. If you are calm and have enough mental stability to overcome internal issues (fear, trepidation, anxiety, stress) in the face of imminent danger, then WC can be lethal. WC did not suit BL's needs. To me that does not mean WC is useless. Just because you don't like the clothes you're wearing, that does not mean they won't protect you in harsh weather.

  • mmmm very nice

  • In a street fight Wing Chun of course is useful. I am into boxing and spared a friend who learnt some Boxing, Wing Chun and Praying Mantis. Now he more or less beat me up because he had so many styles. Also I am not use to kicks even though at 15 I learnt something called Iron Monkey. It is a technique where you train your hands to be so tough, thats a squeeze woul;d hurt. Anyway in a street fight surprise and speed is what wins it. Wer aint all pro's in a cage.

  • @UnseenSpirit I hope you don't forget remaining calm and centered. It will help you to see through the muck. Now, how to attain that state, that is the interesting question.

  • ese maestro se pinta los ojos? hay algo raro ahi

siii tiene las cejas depiladas jajajaja

  • ese maestro se pinta los ojos? hay algo raro ahi

  • I had studied wing tsun for 2 years and i kind of lost it little after 20 years.. but I still do training at home ever since.. i just want to stay on course till success.. i also kind of miss training...

  • bern wagner siempre en la memoria

  • wing tsun is useless against MMA & BJJ.

wt figthers can barely beat taekwondo fighters.

wing tsun is too soft for real fighting.

  • @BluePittbull666 but bruce lee did it and could kick the shit out of anyone

  • @BluePittbull666 False, WT is useless in the ring, but in the street is a different thing.

  • @BluePittbull666 Dude dont choose which style is better and not.

It all depends on the fighter it self on how good the fighter can used it

  • sheesh... students vs master. Always, i would never do a student vs master video. It shows nothing. Students will always respect their master.

  • would really like to train with him !

  • this traner...is by far the coolest guy i have ever seen

  • Does any body know what the songs name is??? I NEED IT BABDLY! :(

  • @SkrazYi

    terminator 2 theme

  • Thx bro! :D

  • the big guy would destroy that teacher in term of brute force. if you don't have muscle mass, then you would need muscle velocity to be good at wing chun, like bruce lee. he's not huge but getting hit by him will def hurt like a mofo.

  • wing chun is for peaceful people, if you want to fight then there are many many for you.

  • sad video info...looked damn good at WT

  • Genialer Typ

  • sucky

  • Esse cara sem duvida foi ou é um grande mestre!

  • He looks so much younger... Rest in peace, Master!

  • Its so fast and close combat its faster than the youtube frame rate Dx

  • how did he pass away?

  • @DarkLord0fHell

He died in bowel cancer :( rest in peace.

  • awesome sound !

  • its wing chun...................

  • R.I.P Sifu ............

  • no disrespect i love wing tsun but some of these kata's look alot like evangelist exorcisms lol

  • Thank you Sifu Wagner. Though I never had the pleasure of meeting you personally, I can say you're example is what reawakened my desire to master Wing Chun. I watched this video everyday before training to remind myself of where I wanted to be. My Respect goes to you as I carry on my own path. Requiescat en Pace.

  • @LeeChaolan17 so true bro !

  • VERY GOOD muito bom !! Gostei

  • not bad.but i know a lot of people better than this man. This video not bad to watch

  • alles schwachsin

  • what is the name of the song-music of this video???

  • @Neit54 terminator 2 theme song

  • good work ! it s clean

  • This was a great video and r.I.p sifu Bernard,

No matter what style of martial arts you learn there Is always defensive and offensive power to develop.yeah you can say that martial arts is a waist of time but,it's not a waist of time if you are willing to learn the true meaning of the art it self.many people only learn martial arts to just fight, but just remember this you are a true martial artist when it is in your soul and spirt, not your fist or your muscular build up.it's all about spiritual

  • I love wing chun. don't study martial arts to just win a fight. study to build your spirit. anyone with a gun can win a fight

  • @MrGremlin777 Have you ever heard of the Gun ban law? Don't you have it in your country (wherever you are)?

  • @MrGremlin777 u make it sound like wing chun is ineffective in a fight

  • very beautiful style, amazing techniques....but i don't really think that could work in a real fight situation :/ very fast hits....but without a real power

  • @kekko06 you see thats where your wrong, one punch has enough knockout power plus with added speed to end fights as quickly as possible, and what do you mean wing chun wouldnt work in a real fight? its a street fighting system so i dont see your logic here

  • @THEpillows100 wing tsun is the only way to release your inner 'demon' but with no need to build your muscles to look like some human golem. i really wish i could have met the yellow haired guy in the vid (their teacher) cos he's very good in wing tsun plus he looks friendly and it'd be a great thing to have him as ur friend, and no not to have him fight with/for you.

  • @D4rkSworD oh for sure, i havent seen such a skilled practicioner as the instructor in the vid before, he's very good, its a shame he passed though, RIP.......also i know theres no need for it but i still want the human golem look

  • respect! :))

  • This video is Honour Sifu Bernd Wagner...

Grande damege from died so young... yours sincerely Czech Republic

    Wing chun Lok Yiu..

  • R.I.P Sifu, please leave your anty WT comments on another page, respect we got all practicing martial arts.

  • Sifu. Lájk. :)

  • Lájk. :)

  • Great Sifu Bernd Wagner!...respects from Greece

  • Super !!!

  • @GioVanniMeTTbacH ne asi mazec :D

  • one thing I've noticed (simple viewing of a few videos of wing tsun) is that the neck is vulnerable. It's not as hard as the face so there's less damage to your hands, and you immobilize your opponent without causing facial breakage or damage otherwise seen as "bad" to the police. :) I like this

  • what is the difference between Wing Chun and Wing Tsun?

  • @TheTramsen its the same but wing chun is the translation wing tsun is pronounced the same way

  • @halomanXP <.< this is not true and I'm pretty sure of that. since my bible - wikipedia, tells me otherwise. but I just cant see a clear distinction between them.

  • @TheTramsen It's quite obvious what is the diffrence between them: the sophistication of the movements and the precision of the techniques, the clearness and gracefulness. You can see great masters of wing chun can't even punch good, or the stance is wrong, those mistakes are done I was told on my 3. lesson in wing tsun not to do. Just take a look on the Wing Tsun Resharp Reportage video, and any masters video of the CH system.

  • @oltifromhungary so what you're saying is that wing tsun is a improved version of wing chun? (thats good for me in that case, since where I live you can only practice WT, not WC.

  • @TheTramsen Well I'm not sure what is the meaning of improved, if I'm right, it means something like modernized, wich is not true, bcs WT was already like WC, did not came after the other, but in this case, yes it is more useful, more effective, I think the perfect word is that WT is more "polished".

  • @TheTramsen Just look any WT videos like this, or others and compare them with Ving Tsun, Wing Chun, Yong Chun or Wing Tsung ..., you will see clear, that in WT there are no "rends", no big stops in the practise, it is not far-fetched or constrained, but it is graceful, of-handed, it's flowing and continuous.

  • @halomanXP Wing Tsun was trademaked by Leung Ting to differentiate what he taught from the rest

  • Too bad this man died..much respect for his skills...r.i.p. Sifu Bernd Wagner

  • How did he die?

  • @DizzyDerwish car accident i think

  • Macho music, macho suits... but all fail against MMA fighter.

I do not agree on Shadowx repsonse. All these styles find their origins in China and some kind of dynasty and stuff...

I admire the mentality of Wing Tsun that says if there is a free path u should attack if there is not do not retreat but stay close.

But unfortunately it's not realistic against a good fighter.

In Taekwondo, Karate, Kung Fu this is ok... they never pretend to actually be a realistic fighting style.

    But Wing Tsun is

  • @v1nnie0012 what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this page is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

  • /watch?v=zytLBn2ZDdw&feature=related

Finally wing chun that acctually looks like a fight.

I'm not kidding check the link !

  • @all MMA fanbois, and those who cant stop comparing martial arts(the art of fighting) and fightsport(rules, weightclasses, the biggest tank wins)

engage your brain, and read this statement:

It explains exactly and in every detail why you will never see a proper win chun vs mma cage fight, and even why the attempt to make such comparisions is utter bullshit.

  • @zoolkhan youtube hates hyperlinks...

Time and again we are asked the question by outsiders, but also by new members and even very advanced students who should know better:

WHY DOES THE EWTO NOT TAKE PART IN COMPETITIONS?

Even full-contact events and the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC), which have brought a considerable measure of reality into the sporting martial arts and contributed to a healthy disillusionment, are not actually able to do without certain rules.

  • @zoolkhan The following attacks are e.g. forbidden according to the UFC rules:

    • Butting with the head (head-butting is a widespread technique in the street!)

    • Eye gouging (jabs to the eyes are very effective, e.g. in groundfighting)

    • Biting (biting comes from our primate ancestry, and is even quite common amongst boxers)

    • Hair pulling (even children do this in the school playground, don\'t they?)

    • Putting a finger into any orifice (normal)

  • @zoolkhan ..• Groin attacks (normal behaviour in a real fight)

    • Small joint manipulation (e.g. finger) (bending an opponent\'s finger back e.g. to release a grab is normal)

    • Striking to the spine or the back of the head (anybody who turns away must expect this)

    • Striking downward using the point of the elbow (part of our normal repertoire, e.g. if a freestyle wrestling attack seeks to take our legs out from under us)

  • @zoolkhan • Throat strikes of any kind, including grabbing the trachea (only attacks to the neck have a fight-stopping effect against a physically superior opponent)

    • Clawing/pinching (even ladies do this)

    • Grabbing the clavicle (damaging the clavicle is normal practice in kung-fu)

    • Kicking or kneeing the head of a grounded opponent (this is the 5th phase of today\'s ritualised combat in the street)

    • Kicking to the kidney with the heel (streetfigh)

  • @zoolkhan • Spiking an opponent to the canvas on his head or neck (happens during almost every throw)

    • Throwing an opponent out of the ring or fenced area (in a real fight, the opponent is thrown against radiators or downstairs)

    • Spitting at an opponent (not uncommon in ritualised combat)

    • Using abusive language in the ring or fenced area (this is how ritualised combat starts)

    • Attacking during or on the break (no breaks on street)

  • @zoolkhan • Attacking an opponent who is under the care of the referee (there is no referee to protect us in the street)

    • Attacking an opponent after the bell has sounded the end of a round (there are no bells out there, only the ones ringing in your head)

    • Avoiding contact with an opponent (sensible behaviour in the real world ...)

    • Third-party interference (this is to be expected in a real fight)

  • @zoolkhan The techniques forbidden in sporting competition are always the most effective ones – that\'s why they are forbidden!

It is precisely these attacks and the responses to them that should definitely be practiced if we want to learn how to defend ourselves out there in the real world! MMA champion Forrest Griffin, (Got Fight, New York, 2009, P. 52) advises just these forbidden techniques and a form of chain-punching in the street:

  • @zoolkhan "Street fighting ... is very different from fighting professionally in the ring or cage... My advice for street fighting is to tuck your head, put your hands up, and throw your fists as fast as you can from your chin to your opponent’s chin as you move forward. You never want to back away – always move forward. When you’ve closed the distance and can’t punch anymore, throw elbows. When you no longer have the room to throw elbows, deliver a series of headbutts. // (c) k.r.kernspecht

  • wt

  • R.I.P Sifu Bernd Wagner

  • We will never forget you Sifu. You have now passed on to higher levels of existence. Your teachings will guide us forever. Peace and Love.

  • lastima que en mendoza-Argentina no ay ningun dojo de wing chun

  • This is Just Amazing wooow

  • The Big Ball Headed Dude looks Tough, but he falls easily like a little girl....

  • ich selber scheiss auf roboter kein flow und nix die haben nur allee keinen eigenene style gefunden

  • ich selber scheiss auf ronoter

  • These guys were all PRO man, very nice clip, excellent form

  • @gt198gtr sorry guy but this training is fake i trained kung-fu ,karate ,nin-jutsu and kickboxing and i never danced on my trainig this is stupid those forms are bad this stuff must be maked with soul and strengt

  • @vinkoninja well i think everyone has a say on martial arts, there are pure muscle power, mind etc. the only thing that's important is how you apply and enjoy it :) live your life to the fullest, isn't it right?

  • @jhaer27 you got right there

  • Indeed an excellent master... Rare to find!

  • beautiful technique! authentic win chung right there!

  • all this wing chun guys looks like they are the best, but in a real battle, an mma fighter would destroy them

  • @Shadowx209 why you say that? how are you so sure? did you ever face a sifu like Bernd Wagner? when he came to my country, I saw this sifu destroy very good fighters who tried to prove him. (boxers, kickers and grapplers). I practice many martial arts in my life (boxing, kick boxing, judo, taekwondo ...) is true that in wing tsun there are many false masters (mostly) but crossing hands with a real sifu of wing tsun like sifu wagner, is a bad idea mate

  • @Shadowx209 there's no real definitive way of saying mma/wing chun/muoy thai etc is better or worse than any other martial art. they all hav their strengths & weaknesses. some mma fighters wud beat a wing chun guy & some wing chun fighters wud be mma's. just like mma, wing chun punches can giv u internal bleeding & breaking bones is as simple as lifting a feather. wing chun has the advantage of being very fast & without need for arm muscles or brute force. bottom line, depends on the person.

  • @oc00011 But Donnie Yen would beat them all O.o

  • @oc00011 bottom line depends on the person

you can't say an art is better then the other just because you see some guy getting owned :D

  • @oc00011 It's so nice to see someone talking sense on youtube for once!

So many people talk so much rubbish about which style is better, personally I like to study various martial arts to become more well rounded, but in the end, when two opponents are matched up, it comes down to the fighter, not their style.

  • @LatriceIsHere thank you for ur kind words. i was doing mixed "kung fu" for a while, but when i started wing chun later, my teacher said that learning various martial arts is like learning how to speak a little bit of every language, u end up being unable to speak any of those languages e.g. wing chun / tai chi chuan etc. take years of regular training only to begin to understand them. what's ur view on this?

  • @oc00011 Although I do understand what your teacher is saying, I believe it's another thing that comes down to the fighter and the way they apply their knowledge. My wing tsun teacher has studies various forms since 1982, he's found that wing tsun principles have helped him to see all martial arts in another way.

I've studied several, I'm currently studying the wing tsun and bruce lee's philiosophy of Jeet Kune Do, I've found that these principles can be applied to all styles.

  • Exactly. Different martial arts where developped in different context with different basics and expectations. In a sense, every martial arts is the best in what it was supposed to acheive in the first place. Also, its the user that is winning or loosing the fight. The capacity to apply a technique depends of the stregnth and weakness of each martial arts, but most importantly, on the skill of the user in real life situation. In other words, they all contain wisdom, and they all need respect

  • @Shadowx209 you are foolish, have you ever done any martial art? (pc games doesnt count)

  • I heard he died from a bowel cancer.

  • why ? what happened ? why did he passed away at age 40 ?
