There's a saying that goes like this'never say you won't drink of that water' one never knows what will cause a person to become weak and become helpless...luckily for Chuck and many others, that their lives were spared...And in this type of industry, the booze and drugs are so readily available, and just for a moment like a blinking of an eye, one can partake only then to regret...Let us not judge, for we too may fall, or someone close to us aswell...thx 4 the video.
TDN had 21 top 40 hits. Cory sung lead on 8 of those hits, Chuck sung lead
on 7 of them, Danny sung lead on 2 hits and 4 hits were sung or lead by all 3 members! They had 3 number 1 hits Mama Told Not To Come (Cory), Black & White (Danny) and Joy To The World(Chuck)! Ironic! These men were made to be together! Hopefully they can work things out and give us one last THREE DOG NIGHT night!
yet it is still hard to look at Three Dog Night without Chuck, so deeply ingrained in youthful memories, and hard to think of a more popular band in the early 1970's.
tough crowd at this show, the band sounds good though. Probably tough to get those three part harmOnies down right. btw, anyone know who wrote this one?
Actually, there are 4 original memebers still playing and touring. They are Mike (guitar and background vocals), Danny (vocals and guitar), Cory (vocals and guitar), and Jimmy (keyboards and backgourn vocal). The other 2 members are Pat Bautz (percussion) and Paul Kingery (bass, guitar, vocals). This video is obviously amature. They band sounds much better than this. As for Chuck, he burned his own bridge. No sympathy for him at all. He brought it all on himself.
Anyway, they still rock. Tough audience, though. I saw them live when I was 13 (My first concert! It was the BEST.) and people made way so an elderly couple could dance together in the middle of the audience. Everyone was singing along and it was great!
I get to see them on New Year's Eve!!! On a dance floor with no more than 500 folks!!! YEAH.

Wells and Hutton, Greenspoon, Allsup, Paul Kingery and drummer Pat Bautz.
If Negron did not turn into satan he would have still been with the band.
