  • AWESOME DD! thanks for posting:) always a pleasure to listen to these old songs..no band today can compare with B A Rolfe..fantastic...smooth and quiet...makes me want to waltz with my sweetie...lol

  • @agesagomusic08 Glad you enjoyed it! B.A. Rolfe had one of the best bands in the 1920s!

  • Great song by a great band. A nice smooth sounding disk too - its amazing the difference between the surface noise on etched and white lable disks - the former sound like a pressing made of concrete!

  • Richard, Thanks alot! B.A. Rolfe is fantastic!

The etched labels from WW1 and after tend to be noisy due to lack of materials in war-time. The white labels are very quiet, and when they started electrical recording at Edison in late 1927, the DD's have almost zero surface noise.

  • I like this one! It sounds like a morning song from a 50's movie!

  • Yes, it does. Strangely, the people I've played this record says exactly the same as you!

  • This is a great electric DD. Nice vocal refrain.

  • Rocky, The electric Rolfe DD's are always good. No wonder he was the highest payed instrumental artist that recorded for Edison!
