Not one bit. Outside of having all the gadgets right out of the gate, nothing gets changed in the levels and you don't get any cut-scenes.

there's rumors going around that they are making an ape escape port for the release of the new PlayStation 3 move controller i hope they do because ape escape was the first game to use dual analog and now it will be the first to use the new move controller :)

Ape Escape 1 is still the best, It was the hardest of them all the further you whent the big the level's where like the castle and the Tv-tower. Evn the the monkey is the Tv-tower where hard to catch, (The part with the windblowers).

I also heard rumors that you can get Jake too. but they are only rumors. i doubt they are true. and for the record, AE1's skyflyer and water net were probably the most effective of the entire series.

Spike really doesn't have a story mode, per se. He's more of a bonus.
