OK. so I jailbroke my 8GB iPOD touch. and well...its not working. :(

i did everything. DFU mode. blah blah. everything worked. but it just wont turn on now.......

i dunno wat to do. PLEASE HELP. ASAP

alright look can u still hook it up to ur comp i mean does it show up on it

if it does ur in luck

first open up itunes after the comp detects ur itouch than click on restore it will restore everything nd i would suggest u delete all files just incase and that should be end of ur problem also u think i should jailbreak my itouch 8 gb?2g

after i did this it said it didnt work and restored to factory stuff and was supposed to restart but never did wat do i do?

You have to put it in DFU mode and then restore

oh yea soz one more thing if its alright ive got cydia and installer now but i dont kno how to put on jailbroken apps it doesnt let me on itunes can you please fix it? or tell me what to do because it just messes up when i try to put apps onto itunes and sync

Only cracked apps can get on iTunes, but jailbroken things like dtunes and other apps can't

It could be a number of things1)Make sure you have the right IPSW downloaded alot of people download a

1st gen IPSW or a non iPod touch one. 2) you may not be selecting the right IPSW to patch. It may sound stupid but alot of people do that.

If it still doesn't work tell me, and also what exactly is coming up saying you can't make an IPSW(error message, command prompt)

yea thanks it was a fake it was a 2.1.1 scratched of as a 2.2.1 its done now but just to help oeples problems if everything goes wrong adn you ipod screens black and nothing happens with your computer when you plug it in or even when you useing not pluged in do a dfu with it plugged in hold sleep and home togethter 10 secs then home 7 secs it should then say on your itunes you NEED to restore it at that point you have to restore it to the origional 2.2.1 firmware and try again at your own risk

account can u undo this tether?? i assume u can because itunes still recognizes my device so could i just restore to 2.2.1 firmware and resync my stuff??

yes, you can restore it anytime you like and put everything back on. Just put it in DFU mode and shift+left click restore and select the non-jailbroken ipsw, then after that select your last backup date(don't worry if you haven't backed it up, everytime you restore it backs it up)

you don't have to unjailbreak it just let winterboard restart your iPod then just repeat steps 5-7 :)
