If you ever listened to a Suicidal Tendencies song and then listen to how Eric plays them, you'd see he makes them his own. I've seen him three times with S.T. and he blew me away every time. He even does a nice drum solo in the middle of the set. I look up to him, big time and I think he only makes S.T. so much better being in the band, considering he is always totally into the show.
oh of course.. however if you check out ronald bruner playing for them (a video called "ronald brunner exhibition") you'll realize that theres plenty you can do even in simple songs like these.. thats why i always think that i can have fun no matter what the gig is..

Suicidal Tendencies does not advocate suicide. Suicidal Tendencies is about belief in self and pushing yourself to achieve and to never quit. If you don't believe this, you don't know the band and are speaking out of ignorance. Christians get caught up in this imagery and what others should look like; their personal relationship with God should be above such superficial things.
It's probably worth noting that notorious "Satan worshipping" band Slayer's frontman Ayala is a devout Catholic.

I agree. The only thing that confuses me is holding a picture, or playing in a band where the logo is skulls and pentagrams, and then talking about God and talents. Just confusing to me, thats all.

Judging or not, Pentagram and skulls doesn not = salvation. I think the confusion is that he is still trying to claim Jesus, even though the band, clearly, doesn't represent Jesus. If you are claiming Jesus, and working in a non Chrisitian band, then hold off on proclaiming both at the same time. No need to give a "mini" sermon about God's gift if you're playing in a band that sports skulls and pentagrams. Just don't say anything, it's a contradictory, and confusing message. wait til da gig fin
