Great Playing . Great Sound . I'd like to hear some old school Chicago Blues with those gibsn buckers and that HT-5 . I'm thinking of purchasing the new HT-5R . Again , really nice sound ! ............ Jerry - AKA - HUTCHfromBA .
@drdreth No, this was a ready made loop I fiddled with. It's a sample (midi real instrument), but I am going to buy a bassguitar and replace it with a real bass. I like the sound of this bass though, it ain't bad at all.
Dude how do you get this amp to sound so smooth? What settings do i need or pedal? is the saturater doing all the smoothing? My Les Paul BFG cant do this smooth! Help please.
@Mrjones2044x I used the clean channel on the HT-5, Vox Satchurator with very little gain (2-3) Set back the volume on the guitar to 4-5, use the neck pickup. Time Machine for a little echo. Credits must go to the mini-humbuckers as well. The neckpickup is incredibly smooth. It's an old les paul too, almost 35 years old.
@Shazlyyy Hi, I never tried Guitar Rig, but I guess it works the same as IK Multimedia AmpliTube which is part of the bundled software that came with the E-MU. All you need is a clean signal which can be delivered by the E-MU's pre-amp. Thanks for commenting!
i want to ask you something, in the Europa video you said you use the gt 10 for the recording, how do you connect the gt 10 to the audio interface and then to the computer??
@rikrdoandrade92 In the Europa video no interface was used, just the USB cable to the PC. Latest GT-10 clips were made by connecting the GT-10's L/R to L/R ports of the E-MU 0404USB (and then with USB from the interface to the PC. Thanks for watching and the comment!
I really love the sound of this amp. I currently have a microcube but I really want an upgrade to a valve amp, and this looks to be ideal for my budget. Trying to decide between the combo or the mini stack
Sounds super!! Do you need to have the amp very loud before you can mic it properly ? Like.. can you still hear people talking inside the room when you record ? :)
No, it's not at a loud setting (about 3-4). People would be able to hear eachother when I am recording. The Blackstar Combo can get really loud, even though it's only 5 watts. But a volume setting of 3-4 with close mic, is sufficient. You might need to get a bit louder though, depending on music type.
Lovely touch and quality to your playing. a pleasure to listen to.
